Hello,

I bought 2 sets from a store and one of them was incomplete (it was supossed
to be complete). I've written the seller with a list of the missing pieces,
my email was read but I have no answer, it's been more than two weeks since
I send the email.

What should I do?

Op : Other markings underneath will usually be part number / mould number and
position in mould / copyright / pat pending / pending Pat / both the previous

However, better to ask if unsure.

if these are real lego (maybe older parts only had the logo)?

Real. If it has the lego lego it’s real. Some parts don’t have the part number
and some don’t have the logo and some have neither but if it has the logo it’s
real

And most are ZERO feedback buyers that I guess are new to Bricklink, sky is aways
falling in this forum even with all the millions of successful transactions.
Like they say, negative views get the attention...

Might be related to this
“ PLEASE REMEMBER IF ORDERING USED ITEMS THEY ARE NOT GOING TO BE PERFECT AS
THEY HAVE BEEN PLAYED WITH IN THE PAST! YOU WILL FIND SOME SCRATCHES AND BITE
MARKS!!! IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THE PERFECT PIECES PLEASE ORDER NEW!!!!!!”
Which directly goes against bricklink terms since they say they don’t even separate
out bite marks… yikes

Along with
“Order sent Royal Mail. I can not be held responsible for loss in post”
Which also isn’t true as they are 100% responsible

Your overall praise rating is 98.20% which is rather low for a seller with 5825
orders.

Orders do not equal feedback. They have 2550 feedback of which 46 are non positive.

2550 feedback on 5825 orders is a very low feedback percentage, 44%.

My store has 1763 orders with 1350 feedback, that is 77% of buyers who left me
positive feedback. I have 0% negatives and 0% neutrals.

This store has serious problems that they need to address.

And hereby once again the argument why we need a modern kudo/appraisal/scoring/review-system.....

This means that you have had 104 orders where something was wrong and you got
neutral or negative feedback.

So I'm not surprised, but of course I don't know the details. As a buyer
I would hesitate to buy from a shop that has less than 99% positive feedback.

What was it you ordered, parts, sets, or a combination ?

If it was sets only, and in original boxes, the shipping might well have been
high. Cost of order does not have a direct relationship to cost of shipping,
especially when it involves international shipping.

Did you follow this and request the cancellation, or did you just message the
seller asking them to cancel it?

If you have the NPB completed against you, then you can try asking for it to
be removed as you thought the postage was too much. The NPB won't matter
unless you make a habit of placing orders and not paying for them. However, you
might get negative feedback for not paying for this order and would not be able
to leave feedback for the seller.

In the future, ask about shipping costs before placing the order if they are
not calculated by instant checkout or detailed in the seller terms. Shipping
large or heavy boxes internationally with tracking can be expensive.

Hello! You mean multiple different types of sets?
Or multiple sets of the same one?

I have never seen a function on this site that enables a bulk buy. Perhaps one
of the more experienced Bricklinkers can verify. This site is geared towards
individual entries, but for the most part a lot of customers tend to maximize
shipping costs by ordering multiple items from one store.

If you are looking for someone to buy part or whole of your collection, I highly
recommend local marketplace on socual media or Ebay.

Happy selling!

Maybe list the sets individually and add a text to the description 'X% discount
when ordering 2 sets or more, y% discount when ordering 5 sets or more'

Sounds pretty shady to me.
So the seller can't work with the buyers requests.. but can immediately file
an NPB?

After 7 days you could have opened a NRS.
Although you've got the right to to cancel, the seller opened the NPB because
he wants to be protected against any feedback.
You can go to the NPB page and click option NPx "accept penalty and cancel
order".
One strike won't hurt your buyers status.
Or contact the Helpdesk if you don't want to accept the penalty:

And leave you room, like better count on 240 than 255.

Make tests, and avoid the more non-alphanumeric ones.

I wish they were still there. That amount of data would not take that much space
and space is pretty cheap. I wish they would at least keep 2-3 years worth of
the order details. I would also like options to see the pricing history of items
longer than 6 months, especially for rare items.

Not "completely gone"

No, the detail is completely gone. Who you bought from, and the break out of
costs are available, but not what you bought.

When you download orders on Bricklink it calls the items in the order "details",
but it really isn't clear from the initial post if that is what they meant.

What part of "not completely gone" eludes you?

They asked if the detail is completely gone. The parts are the detail.

Details of a transaction are not solely the parts. You surely know this, right?

Buyers most of the time do not care about the shipping costs, fees or sales tax
after the fact. You want to be right, fine you are right.

Keep the e-mails. ALL e-mails, forever.

Or ask if to each seller if he/she has a copy or such.

or is that information completely gone?

Not "completely gone"

No, the detail is completely gone. Who you bought from, and the break out of
costs are available, but not what you bought.

What part of "not completely gone" eludes you?

They asked if the detail is completely gone. The parts are the detail.

If OP did not keep the order detail emails, another option would be to reach
out to the sellers. I keep every order detail email and have forwarded these
emails to buyers when asked.

I don't think it is visible unless someone places an order. I do see a number
of stores that list their email or paypal address in their store terms though.
I think this is what the email was referring to.

Sincerely, Brickworkers

I strongly recommend you contact BrickLink directly through this website, via
the Help Center link on every page. They have sent out emails warning of scammers.

Do not click on links in email, ever, or click on any unfamiliar link, irrespective
of where it is found. If you don't know that some link in a forum is genuine,
it is very likely that it will be a hacking attempt. That is how the scammer
harvests your details.

If you don't have antivirus measures, get some as they will identify scam
emails, in addition to viruses, worms, and trojans, which are unauthorized hacking
attempts attempting to gain access to your PC. Do not trust any emails attempting
to get you to use "their" product, it will certainly be a scam, containing
an infection that will download itself if you mistakenly allow it to do so. Search
with a trusted search site and get a properly validated and genuine antivirus
that has a proven track record of handling infection attempts and scam emails.

If you don't know why an email address is attempting to deceive you or whether
it's legitimate or not, it does not matter. DO NOT reply to them. Find your
own answers, and file suspicious emails in the trash folder of your email client.
Regularly emptying them out is strongly advised.

I sincerely hope you beef up your security measures. It is highly advisable.

There are many ongoing attempts to hack sites all over the world. Stay vigilant
and do not trust anything that an unknown email address sends you! Stay safe,
and never click on any links that you don't trust.

A proper antivirus and scam protection client will alert you to potential threats,
they are constantly evolving their detection algorithms, so ensure that whatever
you choose will automatically update it's threat definition databases.

Cheers ...

I created several wanted lists for different parts of a project.
I would like to merge them to make ordering easier.

Hi,

First, you don’t need to merge the WLs to order them together.
Just go to the Buy page (https://www.bricklink.com/v2/wanted/buy.page ) and tick
the boxes in the Wanted Lists tab in the panel on the left.

You can also select/unselect items by using the Wanted Items tab.

I tried downloading the individual lists, to reupload them in a new list, but
the format used for downloading isn't supported when uploading (this is really
strange to me, but ok)

You need to use the second tab on the upload page (https://www.bricklink.com/v2/wanted/upload.page
).
You’ll need to _paste_ the content of a Wanted List (one at a time, you can’t
paste them all at once).

To be clear:
— the BL WL XML format can only be pasted, not uploaded as a file (like can be
done with other formats),
— it can only be done on the upload page, not from the upload button inside a
WL.
🤷‍♂️

So I tried copying the parts to a new list. This worked for the first list. However
when I tried doing the same on the second list, it warned me that at least one
the parts was already in the new list. And yeah, some parts are used by different
lists. I would expect the app to merge them, that is, if both lists have the
same part, then the new list will have 2x that part. But apparently this is not
what happens.

What other options do I have to merge my lists? Other than looking up every individual
part once again.

Uploading by pasting XML on the upload page works.  The verification page shows
a warning but it clearly says the quantity will be added to the previous one,
so it’s what we want.

Another solution is to use third-party tools, like BrickStore (application) or
Rebrickable (website).

You could download Brickstore and use that to download each wanted list, combine
them into one file and re-upload them.

Hi,

You can’t directly do that
The My Collection feature isn’t complete and isn’t linked to the other parts
of the website 🙄

You can still do it if you:
1. download your order,
2. make an BrickLink XML inventory with it,
3. import that inventory in your My Collections / Parts.

(1) and (3) are rather easy, (2) is the complicated part.
The simplest way to do (2) is with using BrickStore… but then, you might as well
use BrickStore to manage your collection.

I thought the batches were separated in the order details?
Or is it only for buyers?
Or an option?

Batches are separated, apart if (seller anyway) clicks bottom of the order to
"Consolidate batches". But here, it doesn't show any different batches
(it's the firs one), and if there are 2 lots it can't be neither consolidated.

Just a rare bug

Frankly - if personally I'd describe and report all the bugs I encounter
in Windows, Firefox, Studio, Notepad++ and tens of software I use all day long,
I wouldn't have any second of my life to do anything else

I mean, it's not BrickLink specific; it's just development / IT is an
Human activity, and we're all bugged - so the whole shebang isn't perfect.

Hi and welcome

The Catalog Request topic is for, well, requests about the main catalogue, not
personal inventories.

As you’re very new and a buyer (not a seller), I presume you’re talking about
My Collection (https://www.bricklink.com/v3/myCollection/main.page ).
In that case, you can delete each section by uploading an empty file.

That is:
— click the Import/Export dropdown on the upper right corner of the “Add…” dialog
(see pic),
— choose “Import…,”
— select “Custom CSV or XML file” (top choice),
— give it an empty file (just create a file with nothing in it or just spaces),
— it’ll warn you it’s empty, continue,
— select “Replace collection”,
— it’ll warn you you’ll lost your collection, Submit.

I’ve seen other sellers having inventory errors due to instant checkout probably
but I don’t have it enabled so it’s even stranger.

If it's different it means you've a duplicate.

Same lot ID, that’s why it seems abnormal.

I think we've already this to happen.

I've also checked and the quantity of the brick in the picture is correct,
I have total of 29 in stock.

How is this possible? Any chance the buyer added 4 to the cart and added 5 later?
Shouldn't it be combined to 9 in the cart if I don't have multiple lots
of the same part?

Not LEGO:
0. No 0.5L axles.  Unless broken.
1. Wrong colour.
2. Wrong material.
3. The pin on your part is full.  LEGO pins are tubes.
4. Bad moulding: there’s some flush visible inside the pin.

This is interesting. None of the other axles in that set came in those colors,
so it's not like they were cut in half (PS, I could totally see a need for
these though, mating two from opposite sides of the same axle hole.)

Nothing shows up under 1L, 1/2L, with friction or without friction.

Well actually they do look a little thinner...but still if they were just stretched
out from use, what were they used for that stretched them out and kept them circular?
I don't deal in used belts. I sell round ones that were in a sleeve or
bag and football shaped ones that were on a belt holder. I would expect a band
that was permanently misshapen by use to be something other than round.

different parts or have one set been used?

The one on the right is definitely, x71, the one on the left I am not sure. Any

I feel pretty confident that those were not manufactured the same size. Do you
have a kitchen scale that measures decimals of grams? You can stretch the diameter
of a rubber belt some, but you can't stretch the weight and those larger
ones don't look thinner.

Rubber belts were handled poorly for many years. Randy and I have cleared a
lot of it up, but work remains. Bricklink only has PCC for the smallest white
belt and almost every white belt is

Part No: x71 Name: Rubber Belt Small (Round Cross Section) - Approx. 2 x 2
*
x71 Rubber Belt Small (Round Cross Section) - Approx. 2 x 2
Parts: Rubber Band & Belt
. x37, x89, and x90 are all in inventories
in white and probably a lot of that is incorrect. But we can see from service
pack 9961-1 that all 4 probably exist (I say probably because we can see there
are 4 sizes, but maybe they aren't actually the same part as they've
been identified as, which are usually red, blue, and yellow.)

I would say one of your sellers got ahold of one of the mysterious ones and assumed
they were x71 because they were white.

I don't think the diameter can change that much, even with a lot of use.
So I would guess they are not the same item. I don't know enough about rubber
bands though to say whether that much difference could be due to different production
runs, or if one of them is not Lego.
Just my 2c...

Both large rubbers it seems to be used and they are stretched out. Look at them,
their curves are irregular.

Hi and welcome

It depends on the format of the parts list you got.
What is the format of your list?

Also, Rebrickable can convert / export to many formats.  You can even fill a
BrickLink Wanted List directly from a Rebrickable inventory (there’s a button
at the top of the inventory).

Send proof of shipping to the help desk and they will remove it (tho they often
take a while to remove it, currently help desk response time is ~3 weeks tho
some have had even longer waits)

You can submit it to the catalog as 3626bpb0808, but it will only have a separate
entry for a short period of time because minifigure heads with hollow studs and
blocked open studs will be merged soon.

I'd suggest listing it under the existing entry with a note that it is the
blocked open stud version.

Don't bother, they will just delete it.

BL is currently in the process of merging all the blocked open with the hollows.

Hello everyone,

Maybe you can help me. We have a customer who opened an NSS on February 4th with
the reason that the goods had not been delivered.

According to DHL, the shipment was delivered, the customer does not respond to
messages and does not delete them.

I have already written several times under the link https://www.bricklink.com/helpDesk.asp
that the NSS should please be deleted.

Customer doesn't respond, Bricklink doesn't respond and we're constantly
on the verge of closing our shop if anyone else starts doing this.

Are there other ways to contact Bricklink?

Best regards

it takes a few hours. When did they cancel the order?

Okay
Last Night. I bought the wrong thing and emailed them , and they canceled it
no issue. I Had bought 2 things and canceled them both but one guy instant refunded
me and the other hasn't issued a refund.

Mmmmmh if it's paid PayPal or Stripe onsite you can see in your order if
it's been refunded or not.

I'm not sure to understand?

Example (as the buyer):

I don't think it makes a difference. The ability to set your own default
settings for searches (whether on want lists or catalogue searches) has been
suggested many times before.

Too bad, it would be a great feature to have. Saves a lot of time for the bigger
builds on my wanted lists.
