Hi Christopher, welcome back! One thing I did notice - and maybe an American
seller or mod can add more detail - is that your terms still say that you accept
personal cheque and that you don’t collect sales tax, and that has changed. Now
Bricklink collects sales tax on your American orders and will determine the rate
by state. If you accept off-line payment (cash or cheque) it circumvents their
tax collection since then you are keeping the buyer’s tax. Also, you will never
be able to mark the order as complete.

He could still accept offsite payments for buyers living in States that have
no sales tax (Oregon, Delaware) or where sales tax isn't collected for online
marketplace sales.

I placed an order with a seller that had their selling privileges revoked, and
I had to file a NSS for no shipment and no communication. The payment was through
Stripe. I have only made one other purchase through Stripe and didn't have
any issues. Now that I need to file for a refund, Stripe says they don't
provide refunds for its sellers and I need to go through the seller to get a
refund. The problem is, the seller isn't returning messages.

Has anyone else encountered this? What is the best way to get my money back if
the sale was through Stripe?

Thanks

Clearly not paid yet. Seeing already two NPB's, I guess this one goes the
same way. Too bad, would have been a nice sale.

I think a buyer who is manually marking as Paid but without actually paying should
be reported. True, the buyer has 2 "NPB" feedbacks and is headed for
another but that doesn't always mean that an NPB was actually completed.

Why? Is BrickLink in French?

Sounds like someone got a completed NSS and now wants to do something about it.

Sellers can accept either PayPal or Stripe (or a few other methods, if they are
older stores or outside the USA).

Yes, generally. I just have flat shipping right now but in days of yore I came
up with shipping bands based on the commercial rate plus $0.60.

But "6% FOR PAYPAL AND BRICKLINK FEES!!!1!" can just be added to your
prices.

I think that could be the solution.

I don't think Used is sufficient for the customer to know that the card won't
be included. Used could just mean that the card is in Used condition, but hasn't
been opened.

Can a store in the USA charge other stores in the USA for their PayPal fee?
Thanks

I just want to add to where they charge for using stuff for shipping as in boxes/tape
labels and such, now if anyone has been to USPS website you can have them deliver
shipping supplies for $0 and i have asked myself if they(USPS) deliver shipping
supplies for free and sellers on bricklink are charging an added fee for them
most times i have seen a added fee of $2 - $5 for supplies. I myself have went
to other stores that didn't Nickle and Dime a person and most stores are
getting out of hand with added fee's

You can get Priority Mail boxes for free but most orders will go through Ground
Advantage. And even with Priority Mail the rate is generally lower if you use
your own box. So ultimately the boxes aren't free. That said I don't
think sellers should charge for supplies (boxes, envelopes, tape, gas, ramen,
Mt. Dew).

BrickLink enforces PayPal or Stripe to be the payment method for most states
to collect sales tax. I'm guessing that Ohio is an enforced state.

You don't have to have a PayPal account to pay with PayPal, you can use your
credit card and pay as a guest.

I'm fairly sure that doesn't work here on BL. Or maybe it works in certain
stores (perhaps those with a business account) but not others?

Thanks in advance.
Matt

You're looking to do a mass upload without verifying what you've bought?

Yes, I have verified the inventory is accurate

Then import it in BrickStore, set the prices as you wish, mass upload it to BrickLink.

The challenge with the import feature on Brickstore is none of the options are
for CSV file at least as far as I can tell but I'm not a pro with that tool.

Rebrickable can import CSV files; have you tried this?

I don't think there is a way to do that. Definitely not using the Want List

Please, don’t repeat that nonsense.  There’s no magical unutilized brain power.
Everybody’s (sadly) using 100% of their capacity.

Also, welcome in 1965 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ELIZA

Years ago there was an Albert Brooks movie, "Defending Your Life," in
which you can get reincarnated and use more of your brain (like 50-60% instead
of the mythical 10%). But it doesn't seem like the characters use their brain
power for anything of substance.

Someone had it reserved to inventory and now they don't.

Definitely seen that a couple of times. Typically when I have something on hand
and want to inventory it (or part it out).

I can't speak for zorbanj but I don't think the added shipping charge
in this case would count as an internet marketplace order requiring the collection
and remission of sales tax.

  Need some opinions...

When you get an order and ship it out, do you print out their order and put it
in the package, and if so do you use color or black and white. Or do you not
even put one at all? Currently, I print out one sided black and white and was
told by my significant other that looks bad and cheap. Thoughts?

I dislike getting extra paper with my order nor do I print or send any kind of
list. There are very good digital ways now to ensure a complete order. I don't
believe paper is the necessity it once was.

I just use the temporary checkboxes on the order detail page combined with a
JS script I have to ensure they're all checked. I've rarely had an issue.

I don't think it looks bad to include the printout of the order, but for
me personally I feel like it's a waste of paper and ink, especially if it's
a large order.
