I know I ordered these from some seller in Europe at least 15 years ago. I did
manage to find some more in storage. Now I have 19 "N" and 1 "P"

What WoutR said, Wrexham UK bricks most likely.

These are pure ABS, no color added.

Yes, very collectable, you can list them under 3001special, or trade them with
collectors.

Nice find, Wrexhams do not often turn up.

It is possible that the ones you have are not from the UK, but from an American
factory.
If you have any info on where you got them from, that would greatly help us collectors
and historians.

Does it have any glitter? If not, it’s probably the thick-walled version of a
Milky White brick used in LEGOLAND parks.

no gliter

You're right, it is a patent pending brick.
One has a 7 and N on the inside
Another has a 9 N
Another has 15 N
Another has a 9 N
Another has 18 N

Do people collect these? Worth anything?

I would need to be able to see the mold numbers to see if it is a mold that was
known for 3001special testbricks.

As a business owner I use these moments to learn. He/She should fix the mistake
and ship even if they take a small loss. No, you shouldn't be asked to pay
extra. If you think he's honestly trying to cover real costs and he's
not trying to get more money from you then maybe consider working with him.

Doug

He has since canceled the order for $4.

I placed an order with a USA seller. Auto checkout and order paid in full.
Seller messages that the shipping is going to cost $4 more than what I already
paid and that I needed to send more money. I maintain that clearly he set his
shipping bands to not account for shipping materials. It is not my fault and
he should ship the order for the amount that I originally paid. Should I pay
or should he just ship the order and take the loss for his error?

Did you message the seller and try to work out an agreement?
What about sellers that circumvent custom forms? Should every seller have to
take a picture of their customs forms and send them to Admin to prove they are
not falsifying the form?
Are you going to suggest that the LEGO company ship all parts in a more compact
box so that no shifting/scratching of parts occurs? We all know they could package
sets in smaller boxes.
I believe it is up to the buyer to work with the seller in the event that an
unfortunate shipping mishap occurs. Not the responsibility of Bricklink Admin.
I understand you are venting, but such a suggestion is not the answer.
RJ

I think BrickLink should micro-manage every aspect of a seller's business.
As a buyer, I don't want to do ANY work, I just want my parts in pristine
condition with. There are plenty of others in the forum that seem to agree with
me.

Seems contradictory to a prior thread where you stated
"please just leave us in peace and let us run our stores as we see fit!"
So should sellers be micro-managed or left in peace? You can't take both
sides.
Seems to me you are doing quite a bit of baiting and not just for fishing.

In Suggestions, BigBrickDaddy writes:
I suggest there be a screen for New Users and New Sellers that tell them some
of the basic issues about the site.

Example;

Check the feedback on the seller BEFORE buying
Do you understand the feedback system
You MUST have the product in stock before listing on this site.

Have them check mark each of these before being able to start buying or selling.

I know it probably will not help many of them avoid the trappings of the site!

But if it saves a few, that is better then not saving them!

Also I think a probation color or warning should be on ALL stores with less then
10-50 feedback!

Again, I would have been fine with that in the beginning!

MANY, and I mean MANY people have bought from me thinking I OWN BRICKLINK.

They do not have the concept that there are hundreds if not thousands of sellers
on here.

Proven from the constant questions about purchasing from my other stores on this
site.

Thank you, and good luck in your quest towards Y3K!

I would have to vote NO on this. In the more than 6000 transactions as a seller
here, we have never had anyone confuse us with owning BrickLink. We have also
never had anyone request us to combine their order with another order from another
store. I think that the links to the tutorials on the home page and tutorials
themselves are satisfying the job.

Please add the option to have more stockrooms, and to have them allow for custom
names (instead of A, B, C), like Want Lists.

I promise not to jump down your throat if you disagree with this suggestion.

Marc.

Voted a big YES! I would love to have additional stockrooms.
