Any idea where I can find this one?

I would have to agree with you that it is 3626bpb0442

It almost looks like the stamp pad colors were reversed when the printing of
the eyebrows and chin dimple occurred.

A while back (a year or two) someone posted a link to software that would look
at your inventory of figure parts and tell you what official minifigs you could
make. I didn't save the link and am wishing I had it now. Any help?

This seems like a poor way to resolve the problem. Personally, I get my stock
from a number of sources, including the 2nd hand market (i.e. bricklink), if
the quality of this fake is as high as you indicate it is entirely possible the
seller was suckered him/herself without knowing it. A "registry" that would be
very detrimental to sellers seems completely out of line if you aren't even
willing to reach out to them that there was a problem. I know I would want someone
to reach out to me and give me a chance to resolve the issue.

Why then did you leave the sell positive feedback "good seller; item as advertised
and in good condition"
If it was a defective/ fake item. Your feedback does not look like your un happy
with the item you bought. Have you contacted the seller? What does he have to
say about this? His other feed back reviews look good.

Marshal

Thank you for your reply. Was not as careful with the inspection as I should
have been. I was eager to leave feedback due to quick shipping on seller's
part. Was greatful to let my son get started building. It wasn't until close
inspection of the elements after my son had taken a break from building that
I realized something wasn't right.

I have not contacted the seller.

I do not wish to contact the seller. The damage is done. I just want to help
others that care about genuine LEGO.

I would suggest more info on spotting fake sets so that others don't make
the same mistake that I made. Also, if possible, a way to show verification that
you have been sold a fake and a way to report it (that is fair to the seller
as well). Possible weight comparisons of individual elements. Posting pictures
of the absence of bar coded seals. Posting pictures of diferences in genuine
vs. fake elements.

Just some ideas that may help fight the fakes.

Thank you

This. I've been selling for a year and still only have 6 buys. 500+ transactions
as seller.

I believe that if Bricklink will allow new sellers to set up a shop ONLY AFTER
THEY HAVE COMPLETED 10 successful transactions as buyers- the scams by 0 feedback
sellers (that pop everyday) will stop by a high margin.

The beauty of this is that they can't start multiple new seller accounts
to prop up their buying feedbacks too.

I think this will work...

Many sellers have the essence of this already, it's called hold order open.
Many sellers will let you continue to shop for a week or two and then pay once
you're complete. It takes away all the messy credit stuff and still achieves
the basic advantage of layaway in the bricklink context.

If you were to implement actual layaway you'ld have a number of hurdles,
not the least of which is how paypal would deal with those transactions. What
if a seller ships you a brick, will paypal refund all the payments or just one?
Conversely what if a buyer claims item not delivered for the other 6 payments?
given how easy it is to get paypal credit, I'd say go that route if you need
credit. I want to be selling lego, not credit terms.

I do like the idea of holding order open for some buyers and will happily offer
that for a reasonable time frame if asked.

In Suggestions, Noobface80 writes:
Hello! I am currently placing an order with one of the coolest store owners I've
come across, and he let me pay layaway for about 2 weeks when it hit me:
Why isn't there a layaway option? Obviously, this can benefit the seller,
and the lower-income buyers together, but before I continue, Let me explain
the concept of layaway:

Layaway is an option where you pay weekly, biweekly or monthly a set amount (agreed
on by both parties: buyer and seller) until the item is paid off.

For the seller, this means once the price is agreed on/the first payment is made,
they have to put the item aside (regardless on other buyers' offers after
an agreement is made between the first two parties)

For the buyer: This means the once the price is agreed on, you stick to the price
and stay faithful to the deal 'till the end. This also means communicating
with the seller for anything that should be noted such as change of payment account,
or change of address, etc. Missing your payment by one day could void the whole
transaction leaving the buyer at the mercy of the seller.

Both parties should remain as transparent as possible for the smoothest possible
transaction.

Due to people filing chargebacks on other people, it would be fair to give refund
permissions ONLY to the seller. This way, if the buyer breeches the contract,
or simply wants their money back, the seller could then decide if a refund is
warranted.

It's like a regular BL order, except its just broken up over time.

What do you guys think?

It would be helpful IF:

Everyone had the same standards

and

Everyone filled it out seriously.

In reality I think both those are false assumptions

My 5 might be your 3.

I believe most people would probably all 5's, all zeros, all 3s, or Christmas
tree it for no good reason. If they bother to rate at all.

Hmmm, in a world where everything seems to change every 30 secs it is kind of
nice to have some things that remain familiar.

I would personally like to
keep some of the old BL and changing FB after 16 years seems like making everyone
newbies again.

A simple extension of the field lengths might give a lot of bang for the buck.

Robert

+1. As a buyer, 99% of the time I have absolutely no problem relying on the
BL system to help me evaluate risk and determine where to shop. Feedback is
very helpful to me not only as a buyer, but when I was a seller as well. Despite
the vocal tiny minority who complain, BL's feedback is fine and needs no
fundamental changing. It isn't broke, so it needs no fixing.

Robert makes an excellent point about changing a system that has been used for
16 years and how any such change could negatively and unfairly affect the tens
of thousands of BL members who have already earned more than a few feedback.

But I do like the idea of extending the comments fields, mainly for non-positive
feedback.

Thor

Might be helpful if there was a 5 start rating on Certain aspects like shipping,
separation of variants, accuracy of part count, etc
