Hope someone can help. I had a customer place an order two weeks ago. I emailed
them back within 10 mins with an answer to their question and have sent numerous
mails asking if they plan on paying for their order. I've had no replay and
no payment. I am inclined to submit an NPB but I am worried about them leaving
me (unwarranted) bad feedback. I can already sense people saying that I shouldn't
care about the feedback, but I do. I've had nearly 650 orders and have 100%
praise. It's important to me . . . and I don't want someone to leave
me spiteful and unfair feedback when I send them an NPB and leave them bad feedback.
Thoughts?

If the NPB gets completed, the buyer cannot leave feedback, so you'll be
safe. However, if the buyer pays after you initiate the NPB, the NPB will be
removed and they can still leave feedback.

I just broke a piece off of a dark green 2x16 plate the other day when cleaning
and rebuilding my Sopwith Camel. Not fun since that's the only set with that
piece... Thankfully it was still usable and I was able to put it in a spot where
you can't see the damage.

We've sold quite a few of these, and we haven't noticed any issues with
warping as of yet. We haven't had any of the lavender ones, though.

In Catalog, grimsbricksuk writes:
With the recent addition of Commander Fox sw0202b, it has got many people in
the community questioning wether or not variant minifigs such as this should
be given an sw number on here?
Have the rules changed or been relaxed? Where will it end?
For the completionists it just makes collecting more challenging (& expensive)
& the worry will be it’ll put people off or they’ll give up altogether, as the
barrier to collect minifigs is already high with over 1300+ in the catalog.
For those wondering, I did own Fox, but sold it as it never had an sw number
& now I’m faced with a decision, do I fork out hundreds of pounds to get it (if
I can find one), or just sit with the knowledge of my collection never being
complete & quitting altogether?

I'm not a star wars minifigure collector, but if I was, I would not base
the completeness of my collection based on whether bricklink decides to give
the item number a "sw" or not. If you're basing it on a catalog,
then what catalog are you basing it on? Brickowl doesn't have separate variation
for this minifig; so by their criteria then your collection is fine.

I feel like you're making something out of nothing.

Pulling hundreds and thousands of lots daily can be challenging and when the
orders are coming in fast and furious, it can be easy to get backed up. However,
we are happy to announce that we have implemented a faster turnaround on orders.
We are lowering our fulfillment time from 2-5 business days to 1-3 business days.
You can still use our extra speedy service for a small fee as well to get guaranteed
fulfilment in 1 business day or less (same day is possible if order is placed
early enough).

Also, please take a look at our vast inventory with many pieces on sale up to
25% off. All orders in the USA over $75 ALWAYS get FREE SHIPPING and all orders
anywhere over $100 also get 5% OFF. We also offer reward coupons to repeat buyers
for even more savings (see Splash Page for details)

We're adding thousands of pieces daily, so it's a great time to find
the pieces you need and SAVE!

It doesn't update if the buyer pays and adds to the order at the same time.

It is annoying.

So we're looking at trying to streamline of processing our used pieces. Currently,
we figured we handle each piece about 6 times from start to finish, and we'd
really like to cut that down a bit. Here's our current process.

1. Get a box of used pieces, break it down into about 40 or so broad categories
(brick modified, tiles, plate 2x, etc.).

2. When one of the boxes of those categories gets full, we'll break it down
to individual pieces.

3. We then take each individual piece and separate them into colors and putting
aside the decorated items.

4. We then take the colors, do the final deep lookover for fakes, defects, etc.
then count what we have.

5. We list each item, putting them into one of our several hundred organized
and labeled bins.

6. When ordered, we pull the piece from their bin and package it up, sending
it to the customer.

So how does everyone else go through the steps? As you can see, each piece is
handled quite a bit, but because of the quantities we deal with, we can't
figure out a way to combine any steps that will still be efficient.

good idea. I just send a message asking for photos. (the tracking number he provided

invoices in the package but my business card should be included along with the
invoice on the outside of the package on the label. I asked for photos of the
contents along with the packaging

Also give them your address and ask them to verify that the return address on
the package is the same.

Currently, I print the labels on paper and tape them to my bins/drawers. Used

and it doesn't take long for the labels to lose their adhesive and fall off,
nor for the label to wear away from handling it so much.

Why are there so many sellers with so much product and driving up prices insanely?
I genuinely would like to know if there's any good reason for it.

Just look through some of the listings for various parts (ie: road plates, chain
links, string with studs, tiles) ordered from most quantity to least, there are
quite a few sellers with an obnoxious amount of parts, and charging far more
per piece than a sane person would dare pay; Especially knowing it'd be cheaper
to order freshly fabricated parts, and sometimes entire sets, directly from lego.
Keep in mind handling fees, taxes/tariffs, and shipping all add to that nonsense,
so it will be hard to justify paying exponentially more for something people
get no guarantees about.

I would say that those stores shouldn't even be allowed to post any listings,
but I'm not the website manager. So if scalping and price gouging/fixing
are going to be a thing on this site, everyone and everything having anything
to do with it, or even references this site, is entirely worthless to me,
and likely others. Everyone else can enjoy the satisfaction that they've
got less sense than dollars.

Not the feedback people were looking for, was it?

Prices have been going down as of late, not up.

Of course sellers with higher quantities are usually going to have higher prices.
Most people will pay a few cents per piece more to get everything at one place
than pay shipping for 5 different orders. Just normal business.

No, never ever restrict listings simply because they're priced too high or
too low. This is a free marketplace, and should stay one. Don't like the
prices, then don't buy the items.

It is better to have a free market than for a company to try to control the market

I've seen it listed either way on here but want to do it right. I currently
have mine listed as new incomplete because they don't have the foil bag but
have all the pieces and paperwork.

pretty sure if you don't include the foil bag or the leaflet it has to be
listed as incomplete

Are you sure? I never list them with the foil bag and have never had an issue.
Can't you do the same with any other set. If you have all the piece, with
instructions, but no box, you can list it as complete, right? I don't usually
sell sets, so I could be wrong.

https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=102

Thanks! They should seriously consider changing that, as I'm sure the majority
of used sets no longer have their instructions and even more so without their
box. It forces sellers with complete sets to mix their listings in with the incomplete
ones.

New buyers often order and never pay, but other than that i've had no scammers,

Thanks, Noah

I’ve had that happen before it’s annoying but not worth banning a whole group,
thanks

You can't ban them anyway.

Well, you therotically could by enabling the option requiring new users to use
IC then having no IC options. Horrible and terrible idea, but I have had that
option enabled before and had new users complain they couldn't check out
because they were trying to order something that didn't work with any of
my IC options.

Wouldn't it default to invoice only but still allow the order to be placed,
or are you suggesting removing that option (for all buyers) too?

Nope. If you have the option enabled that new users MUST use IC, it will never
give them the option for anything else. That's why I disabled that option;
I'd get new users wishing to purchase a newer item missing a weight, and
they couldn't go through IC because of it, but because of the enabled option,
they couldn't choose the Invoice Method either. So they'd get an error
along the lines of "this seller does not have any available shipping methods
for you.

And wouldn't it also stop established buyers using IC too and so possibly
put those buyers off.

Yep, that's one reason why it's a terrible idea.

Hello, all! Just looking for some input here. A little while back I built this
minifigure display case for myself using some scrap wood lying around. I shared
it around and people were quite impressed, so now I've been considering possibly
making professional looking ones and attempting to sell them. But I'm wondering
what those in the Lego community like when purchasing cases.

How many minifigures would you want a case to hold?

Mine has LED lights which work really well to light up the minifigures. Looking
online, I couldn't really find any cases that have lights. Is that something
you'd want/pay a little extra for?

I assume people prefer cases that can hang on the wall and have doors to protect
from dust.

So what are your favorite cases and why?

There's no wrong answers; like I said, just looking for some input before
I attempt something like this.

Happy building!

I can’t think of a reason someone would fake orders. They’d still be paying PayPal
and bricklink fees. Is there something I’m missing about any benefit that would
be worth the cost?

Does anyone on the admin team have the keys to look up details on a few orders?
Like, what was purchased, the shipping and receiving addresses, and if those
parts were added back to the store?

There is a store I've been monitoring and the feedbacks given and left have
my spidey senses tingling.

Placing then cancelling the order would prevent fees but still allow feedback
to be given, so someone could be doing that to give themselves fake positive
feedback.
