Comments from Submitter:
Sets 40145 and 40305 seem to have the same sticker sheet, but applied to different colored parts. Also suggest changing the name of items 3004pb222, 3004pb224, 3004pb221 to reflect inclusion in both sets as they are the same color in both.

'm not sure i'm submitting this correctly, but what I am trying to accomplish is changing inventory of set 9499 for part 4073 in trans-orange from 8 to 14.

i have built this set twice. both times instructions called for 14 trans-orange 4073.

Are there different versions of instructions for this set? I just did a quick
glance through the instructions that I found at Brick set and only found 8.

yeah this is baffling to me. i assembled, disassembled and recounted and came
up with 14, but reading these instructions again I only see 8. Sorry for the
trouble, disregard until i can get my head on straight.

Yes they are in the wanted list but how do I know WHICH items on my wanted list
are the ones I just removed from my inventory! There’s no way to know unless
they are picked first, which as I’ve described is what do now, making it a two
step process, OR, being able to run a list of the items I just removed, which
I don’t see functionality for. Just let me buy from my own store, the tools exist
and work great!

You have an inventory for them: They are in a Wanted List.

Phisically, either you just picked them first and want to update your inventory,
or you just updated your inventory and are going to pick them pronto.

Can I take a wanted list and convert to an XML file. Will that file remove the
pieces from my store and give me the locations that they are in my store? Because
it isn't just about removing the pieces from my store inventory it is giving
me the locations that those pieces are in my store like an order placed does.
I want something that looks like below that gives the locations.

That sounds like a lot of effort to save oneself 41 cents.

they pick the order as themselves so no fees, invoice by email, then send it

Thanks for the suggestion, but this still falls short for me in a couple of ways:

1 - Applying an XML update like you describe before physically picking the items
from my store would leave those items orphaned in the drawers. I would need to
pick the items first, but I don't see a way to generate a report of items
on my wanted list that are in my store, with the wanted quantity of each item
listed.

2 - I sell used LEGO bricks as a hobby. I have no idea how to create an XML file
that contains a negative quantity of items that are in my store and on my wanted
list, and I suspect that most sellers here are in the same boat.

What I'm really asking for is a way to generate a report of items on my wanted
list that are in my store, with the wanted quantity, so I can pick them, and
then once picked, remove them from my store in one fell swoop.

I currently accomplish this by going My Store - Visit Store - Shop - Wanted
List. From there, I have to scroll the page, picking items physically from my
store. Then, I have to go into My Store - Inventory and search for items on
my wanted list, exclude stockroom items, and go through the pile of parts I JUST
physically picked and remove them from my inventory manually, since this page
doesn't show wanted quantity, all while praying that I remember to click
the Stockroom checkbox when I zero out an item, or the whole damn operation gets
jacked up when I hit submit.

It just seems like there should be an easier way to get this done. I know a feature
like this is revenue-neutral to the site, so I can understand the admin's
reluctance to spend developer time on it, but it would really make life easier
for some of us.

In Suggestions, cosmicray writes:
  In Suggestions, mgiglio writes:
It would be great if I could make purchases from my own store, in a ghost mode
that doesn't allow for feedback and doesn't charge fees.

Often when I'm restoring a batch of used sets, I have a wanted list for each
one of them to figure out what I'm missing. Then, once I go through my unlisted
bulk LEGO, I find that have parts in my store that I need to complete these sets.
The only way I can figure to get those parts is to use the inventory search tool
to select items on my wanted list, pull them from my drawers, and then adjust
my inventory quantities appropriately for each item.

It would be much easier if I could just treat it like a regular sale, so that
I could remove all the parts from my inventory in one operation and then pull
them from the drawers the way I would any other order. Maybe I'm missing
something and there's an easier way to accomplish what I want to do?

What you are really asking for is a way to take an arbitrary list of parts, and
negatively apply quantities to your existing inventory. That capability already
exists.

There exists the ability to submit an XML file for UPDATE, which contains negative
quantities. If the negative amount equals the stock level, then the item is also
deleted, otherwise the quantity is decremented.

Does not involve the creation of an order, price guide, feedback, etc.

Agree 100% with this, it should be ghosted from the Price Guide as well to prevent
gaming the guide.

Also doesn't affect the price guide since this could be abused but I have
wanted this option in the past to have a way to quickly pull from your own store.
If it doesn't affect the price guide because it isn't a real order I
don't know what would be the reasons to not allow it. I vote for it every
time this is brought up but I also know those votes don't count towards anything

It’s close but here’s the thing. It’s double work. The wanted list exists. It’s
easy to buy your wanted list from a store. It’s another matter to adjust your
inventory item by item, checking the wanted quantity for each one, all on one
screen in one shot without screwing it up before hitting submit.

A store buy is also a reversible transaction, meaning if an order is cancelled,
you can just add it right back to your inventory. If I go and adjust my inventory
there’s no walking that back. That means I have to physically pull it first,
without the benefit of an order summary, and then adjust the inventory. Adjusting
the inventory first would mean I have no idea what I just removed from my store
digitally, making it impossible to then do it physically.

On top of all that, the code base exists. I won’t make light of the work the
BL coders do, but the store order tools work really well, and it’s all coded.
Im just asking for some tweaks to let it be used on my own store. Shit, I’d even
pay BL the fees if they’d let me order from my own shop.

That seems plenty close enough to pulling like an order to me. Do you have a
tablet?
