Hi,

I need help on how to proceed and advise my buyer

A quote was requested from me. I was adding the shipping cost when the system
validated the quote with 0 EUR.
I emailed the buyer to cancel and ask new quotation.

Now, the buyer paid the order without seeing my message. I refunded. I cannot
set the shipping cost again (as the system insists saying that the order has
been paid. Status is on 'Ready'

Any thoughts ? Do I need to fill in a OCR ?

Thanks

Hi All,

I have built an unofficial set for Saturn V Launch Pad with 8k+ parts. The instructions
followed were not mine. All parts are in LEGO.

Is it possible to be advertised on sale on Bricklink? and how?

As a custom item? any example existing to check how this is done.

Thanks in advance

It is a classic subject that has been going on for years. I searched for many
techniques to remove the yellowing. Peroxyde sounded great and works temporarily
on white and LBG mainly but, after a while, as described by many, all parts yellowed
to a brownish disgusting color.

The reason is that there is an additive to the ABS which works as a fire retardant.
This additive oxidizes and the light which is a catalyst speeds up the yellowing
process. Hence, if your model is stored in a cupboard, it may take longer to
get yellow.

Once you use peroxide, you are like etching the surface but at the same time
repolarizing the molecules, which become again sensitive to oxidation....this
is a cycle. I also noticed that parts became rough to build with. So they become
useless.

There is no solution to it unless you spray a nanofilm to stop oxidation without
altering properties of the LEGO parts OR you build yourself an airlock storage
room with no 02 inside (cheaper would be to store all parts in boxes and vacuum
out the oxygene). Once the bag of your new set is opened, there is no way back...

It is cheaper to buy new parts. I also noticed some parts in some model oxidize
differently. I have a Apollo Saturn model and some are still white and some yellow.

SO MY QUESTION IS: is LEGO not liable for this yellowing ? and should
they replace for free any parts within a limited time (guarantee)?

In Colors, jorgejsz writes:
  Hi All,

I have a couple of clone and stormtroopers that are yellowing; because of this
I have put away almost anything that’s predominantly white.

What’s the best way of removing this if at all possible? I know about using peroxide
and uv light or sunlight but I am concerned this will remove the print from the
minifigures.
Thank you for your time.

Jorge

I made the necessary changes to allow this to happen immediately when asked so
that is why it is allowed now.

To respond to others about geography, Bricklink should not assess geographically,
Cyprus depends on the EU and identical shipping rates that consequently makes
it impossible for the instant checkout to work properly.

I just had an enquiry from somebody in Cyprus asking me why I would not ship
to him, though Cyprus is in the EU and I apply shipping rates for ALL EU countries.
Why was Cyprus not included in my list ? Cyprus it seems is included in the Middle
East region for Bricklink and hence I did not include Cyprus. This needs to be
corrected immediately.
As for the case of the rest of the island, I cannot comment wheter the UN allows
or not to ship LEGO.

Am I correct to put that forward ?

Thank you all

I have to say that it is not even to be considered. At a time when we are trying
to escape the Megabricks, Sluban and others out of the mind of kids and creation,
Playmobil does not offer the same as LEGO. LEGO is the genesis of building and
assembling in its own style. Playmobil does not. Yes, Playmobil are solid and
last for long. Ebay and LeBonCoin.fr can do the job for them.
