Store terms and condition on first page and in bold red on splash page tell everyone
they have to pay 13% Ontario tax.

They shouldn't?
I mean, view from the outside we may not know.

In comments to the store I said "I look
forward to seeing a change in your terms and conditions". And then I asked
if they would do so. There has been no response or change. I cannot leave any
positive feedback. Would you? I want to warn other buyers. Is there some way
to force this store to get honest? Or is it all buyer beware?

If it's Tax related and you're pretty sure about you; then yes,
please report the Shop - this isn't tolerated on BrickLink AFAIK.

Either here:
https://www.bricklink.com/problemMember.asp

Or open a Ticket.

Thank You for your help.
I gave this shop every chance to do the right thing.
Then I reported it to the link you gave me.
After receiving my goods I posted neutral feedback.
I do not know if the store changed their terms and splash page because of my
feedback or the complaint.
Doesn't matter.
He was never going to be honest without a tussle.
Now others might not get tax scammed by this store.
Of course he is upset with me. Oh well

I was told told, in no uncertain terms (lol), that his terms are his terms. Too
bad for me. It went back and forth and I suggested that he could do the right
thing and change his terms and conditions and conform to the lawful tax laws
of his province and country. That is not going to happen. I mentioned it again
in clearer words. I finally got him to refund some taxes paid. Does this person
even have a registered GST or HST number? Can I ask him that?

I guess it must be a pro Shop, then you're allowed to ask for their pro references.
Here for example, they MUST be displayed to the public.

  Does he have to
answer? Does this person think that collecting his extra 8% on every single out
of province order his rightful tip? Does he think it is right to dupe unsuspecting
and unknowing customers? He is not the only store in Ontario that is collecting
extra cash in what I believe to be a low and underhanded manner. I wish I could
stop them. I can warn others about this particular store in my feedback. He will
probably counter with a lie of some kind and just keep on with these petty thefts.
So ... your thoughts ... or better yet ... creative and constructive solutions?

IIRC I already told you?

If you think it could be an unlawful tax colection, DO report this shop using
the member report page AND opening a helpdesk ticket.

Oh yes, thanks again. You are helpful. I will use your previous link. LU

No; the tax is the place of supply (your address; being AB). So if you buy from
Ontario, you wouldn't pay 13% HST. You would pay 5% GST.

Thanks. That is what I thought.

Buy where, Country, amount etc. - Browser?

Delete all BL cookies, empty the browser cache.

Restart, login, retry. Post a pic?
Try with another browser?

Thanks ... working now!

Let's say I pay a fair price for relatively rare part. When picking the order
the seller apologizes and says they don't have the piece and immediately
processes a refund for that piece only. I indicate to the seller that I now have
to source that piece elsewhere and pay another shipping fee. No reply. What feedback
would you leave this seller?

The description says "gold". I have two different dye lots and prints.
Neither one has a trace of gold. Both lots I have received are tan (brick yellow)
over transparent. Is the bricklink description wrong?

All your advice worked great.
It is an easy, although tedious process.
Thanks again.

If you haven’t received any invoice nor communication for 7 days, you can start
an NRS.

And two weeks later you’ll be able to cancel the order (that is, yourself, as
a buyer, otherwise you’d need the seller to do something and, obviously, they’re
not doing anything so it’d take longer (eternity?) for the order to be cancelled).

I would assume a seller should be held even more accountable?!@#
Good luck - please remember, it's not the end of the world.

  Hey all,

Apologies if this has been asked before but I can not find a discussion for it
and it does not seem that bricklink provide this functionality.....yet at least
although I hope I am wrong. I assumed this would be under the inventories section
but I think this more for sellers to list all their inventory.

What I wanted to do and I believe it would be a really cool feature, is to create
a list of all the lego parts (technic mostly in my case) I own. This way I would
have a list of all the parts I have, then I could for example compare this to
a set I wanted to see if I have the required parts or not. It could also allow
me to do a generic search for sets I could complete, for example it could say
you need 10 parts for this set or 50 for this another one.

Hope I have missed this 'feature', if not - do you think it is a good
idea? Is it something that could/will be added?

Thanks

Nathan

WOW … thanks for asking this question Nathan. And Thanks for the answers from
Sylvain and Thea. I was just wondering how I could do the same thing! I have
all my parts listed in an excel file. And I was wondering if there was an alternative.
This info is great. LU

I would love to see tiles with stickers as a separate category from printed tiles.
I have seen this topic discussed on a few Lego Facebook Groups as well.
