Hi

This is a photo of both dresses side by side. It's not my photo but I was
e-mailed to me. This photo shows clearly that both dresses are made from the
same fabric.
Both dresses have the straps from the top of the dress. It is not as clear on
the right dress but you can see the strap before it bends down and continues
behind the dress.

The parts should be merged.

My suggestion for the merged part. Keep part no scl064 and change description
to "Scala, Clothes Female Dress with Straps with Green Stars, Pink Swirls
and Pink Dots Pattern".

Do you need anything else to merge these two parts?

Thanks
Pontus

My vote is to merge bb0048 and keep scl064.

Hi

To clarify: scl064, not scal.

What are your source for the differences? I think your first post was right.
Both sets/parts came in 1998. When I look at the dresses from packaging online
and other Lego pages I can't tell them apart. Both straps comes from the
top. Only the Bricklink picture shows the strap differently which could be a
mistake.
My guess is that they are the same part so you were probably right in your first
post.

If they are the same, my vote is to merge bb0048 and keep scl064.

The mid sticker is from 8120-1 but should be on a brick 1 x 4.

Hi Randy!

Thank you so much for an awesome update!

to add this as an alternate number?

I think 58234 should be added as an alternate part number to all three of the
1406cxx-parts.

The 58235 and 50281 are not as important in the catalog as they are only visible
if you unscrew it.

BR
Pontus

This has been completed. Each van can now be found with the 50281, 58234, 58235,
or 58236 part numbers using the wildcard searches 50281*, 58234*, 58235*, or
58236* respectively.

The request actually led to more work than I had originally thought, because
the sets containing the vans were not inventoried properly. So this request actually
served a dual purpose and solved another catalog issue.

Cheers,
Randy

It hasn't taken long in the past for approvals. Has the process changed?

One of the catmins on vacation and a lot of new sets were released June 1. Getting
stickered counterparts from old sets always takes a back seat to adding brand
new stuff to the catalog.

I am back today after three wonderful weeks of fun, sun, hiking and biking!

To the OP, Jon is correct. Stickered counterparts always take a back seat to
everything else because they are very work intensive and do not provide much
value to the site. LEGO released more than 100 new sets over the last month,
so all of the new parts, new minifigures, and new inventories for those sets
are priority number one. We also have to keep up with the constant flow of change
requests. With the addition of the ability to enter packaging dimensions for
everything in the catalog, we have been swamped with change requests.

I just want to add:
Stickered parts do provide much value when trying to ID parts and sets in a second
hand lot. I agree with the priorities but remember that stickered parts are valuable
in the catalog.

Thanks

LEGO considers the M (98138pb223) and W (98138pb233) tiles to be distinct elements
within a multipack, having two Ms and one W per pack, but I've found that
their prints are identical and indistinguishable, so one could say that each
multipack contains three Ms, three Ws, or one M and two Ws, it's a complete
toss-up.

How should I inventory the multipack once these parts are approved? Do I need
to make an Item Relationship between the two tiles saying they're exactly
the same decoration? Should I remove the duplicate instead and say that there
are three of this tile per multipack?

Hi

Interesting.
How are the N and Z? Is the Z thinner or are they also the same?
If numbers comes there could be similarities with 6 and 9, 0 and O, 1 and I.

It's hard to tell from the photos, but my guess is that they're both
Purple. TLC used to have a recognized problem with getting purple right, as
far as color consistency. It could be that both grills are meant to be purple,
but the coloring process was imperfect, and they ended up not being exactly the
same.

Thank you all for your replies. They have been most helpful.

Hi

Colors are very hard to tell on their own. The colors looks different in your
two photos due to different lighting. One shot shows two different purple and
in the other shot it could be dark red and purple. Very hard to tell.

A tip is to take the photo together with parts in well known colors. For purple
it would be good to have a blue and a red piece in the same photo. Then it will
be easier to tell the difference.
