I think using that verbiage is against paypal's TOS.
I also think someone else once mentioned that it's against paypal's TOS
to have a cheaper payment option than paypal if multiple options are available
at checkout. So if paypal is offered as a payment option, it can't be a higher
price than like a check or cash order. This was probably more relevant in the
days before onsite payments were required.
One thing I've questioned though is if it's just the verbiage.
So, in theory, a store could charge a 3.49% fee + 0.49 extra and call it an "admin
fee", "service fee", or "general fee", and be safe as long
as they didn't call it a "paypal fee".

If you like a particular artist that happens to do a good amount of features
in other people's songs, youtube their name + "feature montage".
Then, you can maybe get a decently long video with a bunch of 30 second to 1
minute bits of just their featured verses in another artist's main song.

Well, I am going to be the very unpopular guy here -
Stores have a month to pay their fees. After that, BL can suspend the stores
in case of non-payment. What happens now is that store owners come on the forum
and complain about BL not opening up their store quickly enough after it was
closed. And above is a perfect example ("bitching worked".
Well, I say, leave the non-paying stores sit for a while and let them know they
will be reinstated in a week or so. If they can't be bothered to pay their
fees on time, the store operation is apparently not important enough. Opening
up a store right after a complaint is taking away from the deterrent of "your
store is going to be closed if you don't pay".
Niek.
|
I agree with you to an extent, but I think If this making non-paying store "sit
for a while", is the method they want to run with, then bricklink needs to
amend their seller terms:
Non-Payment of Fees: Sellers who do not pay the fees due by the end of the
grace period will have their selling privileges revoked. Any Seller account with
an overdue balance will receive a reminder on or shortly after the due date.
The revocation of selling privileges for overdue fees will be automatically
reinstated once payment in full is received by us. The account may be terminated
if at least 1 more month has passed from the time selling privileges were revoked
for non-payment of fees and payment has still not been made. If an amount has
been overdue for 2 months, however, you will need to contact Customer Support
to get your selling privileges for your store reinstated once payment is submitted.
Bold portion should say something like: privileges will be reinstated within
a few weeks once payment is received
Whole thing reads weird, too. So you're account MAY be terminated after 1
month, but if it's been more than 2 months, you need to contact Customer
Support? What could they do if your account had already been terminated a full
month ago?
For what it's worth, If a rouge bill for any service gets lost/forgotten,
a person isn't likely to notice their non-payment until the next month's
bill so a 10 day grace period is kind of worthless.
I'm glad my internet provider, mortgage, and other service providers give
a grace period more than 10 days with/without a small late fee instead of just
shutting the service off 10 days after the due date. They all have better terms
though because they all have a lot of competition.
I guess these are the seller terms we agree to in order to sell, even if they
are poorly designed and written. Bricklink can get away with it for now by being
the best place to sell lego online (imo).

this type of parts could be obtained in a legal way from a pick a brick wall.

| A while back, I had a buyer reach out to me asserting that the
I sold them was fake due to no lego logo and that they've
often seen Ninjago theme as one of the most common themes where knock offs are
produced.
It's possible that it was fake, but there is usually more to it than just
a non logo. The difference in quality is usually glaring and would certainly
be noticeable on a trans-clear part that's also printed.
Since then, I've come across
that I know are authentic that do not have a lego logo. I've
also reached out to a few huge sellers that specialize in minifigs and they've
told me as well that some of these hemisphere parts do not have the logo.
If any sellers are able to check any of their hemisphere parts that they know
are authentic, I'd appreciate the additional data.

|
This does not work once you pass the length of time given by Paypal. JoanyBrick
canceled my order after 3 months of back and forth but it was too late to get
the funds back from Paypal and this seller never returned the funds or responded.
|
If you order was paid for then cancelled you are entitled to a refund, if you
let it go past PayPal's deadline that is on you. 3 months of back and forth
is way too long. NSS is for your protection, and NPB is for a seller's protection.
People don't want to get anyone in trouble, but sometimes it's the only
way to get things done.
|
It was canceled after 3 months of back and forth. Once that happened it was past
the paypal time frame. Since this was in a different country I was trying to
give the seller the benefit. Won't happen again. I've done hundreds of
buys on Brickowl without any issues and I've done 5 buys here with 2 issues.

I thought paypal's timeframe was 180 days? Unless that's only domestic

These sets were limited in number and are much sought after.
Since 2024, a new set has been available that contains this part.
It can be purchased in any LEGO store or reseller. But I still see that every
new seller of this part bases their price on the original price when this part
was still rare.
This it totally nuts imo.
I'm thinking of parting out 10 sets containing this part and pricing them
at around 50 cents to change the price guide which will force future sellers
of this item to sell this item cheaper.
To the sellers: do you also experience these kinds of crazy things?
|
I've been observing this on since the start of my selling around
2016.
It was only avail in a CMF set from 2010 and was $4+
In 2017, it became available in a batman movie CMF and has since released in
3 more sets, and the price has slowly whittled down to $0.75-ish
So it appears, the market eventually catches up, but it can take YEARS.

items from their order and whilst I have no issue submitting the request they
always seem to struggle to approve it despite me spending lots of extra time
trying to explain and direct them to 'MY BL' and then 'MY ACTIVITY'
to locate and approve the request
Does it even really need the customer to approve the change? If so why?
If this is required it really needs to be much, much easier for the customer
to do as the last thing I want is to frustrate my customer unduly before we've
even started especially since they actually originally asked me to cancel the
whole order so they could re-order what they needed (They asked me this twice
already!) but since it was only a couple of small adjustments I suggested against
this on the basis that cancelled orders make things messy and are not an ideal
look for a seller (Potential fee avoidance attempts from BL's point of view!)
any other sellers experience similar problems?
|
I've never gotten it to work when it's an IC order, so I just end up
eating the selling fees on items that were sold, refunded. And then I re-list
the item later.
I guess if Bricklink made it easier, they would miss out on revenue so they're
actually incentivized not to make it easier.

I put them back in the same spot.
I then query my inventory using XML exports and excel when doing an upload to
find the most empty drawers. I have all my drawer numbers hard coded into the
query and if it returns an error saying it can't find a particular drawer,
then the code changes that drawer's weight to 0g or empty.

These people should not be allowed to operate on here. Go sell that junk on

I once ordered a few 100 used 2X4 bricks in any color for filler, and one piece
showed up as a mega-block. I tossed it in my off brand pile and pulled an authentic
lego piece from my bulk. I didn't bother the seller as it had the appearance
of an honest mistake on a low value piece.
Sounds like what you're describing is the whole order is off brand and not
NEW as advertised. This is a very different scenario, and the previous advice
given by other users is your best bet.

has been compromised, and he is unable to contact me through Bricklink. He states
that he no longer has access to Bricklink and has not received any payment. Coincidentally,
the store was closed this morning, and its location has been relocated from France
to the US.
Upon discovering this, I promptly contacted PayPal and submitted a refund request.
Additionally, I reached out to my bank to block the payment, as one half of it
has been made using PayPal balance, while the other half had been processed through
my credit card, and the payment was not completed. Now, I would like to inquire
about the likelihood of receiving a refund. I am aware that if the seller fails
to ship the package, I can fill out a Non-Shipping Seller form. However, how
optimistic should I be about getting my money back?
Thank you, everyone, for your assistance.

Very good odds if it was through paypal goods and services. I once bought a pair
of fishing reels from a sketchy website and they never sent them, so I filed
an item not received case via paypal, and then whoever was on the other end did
upload a tracking number, but the random number they uploaded said delivered
to a completely different address in another state, and I pointed that out in
my response and paypal sided with me.

Funny you say that. I was obsessed with running track in hs and we all knew the

Fast forward to engineering degree in college where half the math on any problem
