Please make changes to the following inventory:

Set No: 140 Name: Town Hall
*
140-1 (Inv) Town Hall
132 Parts, 3 Minifigures, 1979
Sets: Fabuland

* Delete 1 Minifigure fab2e Fabuland Bulldog - Bertie Bulldog (Fireman), Brown Head, Red Fire Helmet, Blue Top
* Add 1 Minifigure fab2k Fabuland Bulldog - Bertie Bulldog, Brown Head
* Add 1 Part x622 Red Fabuland Figure Headgear Fire Helmet

Comments from Submitter:
This set was sold with the hatless figure in the plastic insert, and two loose helmets within the box.

See this picture https://img.bricklink.com/ItemImage/ON/0/140-1.png

The fab2e figure is obsolete and should in fact be deleted from the catalog altogether.

I add VAT IOSS # electronically to the package's info

This! This is what has to be done, but like I said not every seller knows that,
or knows the correct way to do it.

Weird that it still went wrong that one time. So not always the seller's
fault. I have no explanation for that.

Same problem still, not from the EU to the UK but from UK to the EU and from
the USA to the EU.

I had 4 out of 5 non-EU orders double taxed over the last two years.
Last one was +- a month ago and now I completely stopped buying outside the EU.
I've had enough. (That last one is still back on it's way to the seller
for a full refund)

The problem is that most sellers don't know the correct procedure. (EVEN
if you ask them about it before buying.)
You say the seller put the VAT info on the package...there is your proof he has
no idea how things work in 2023.

Bricklink can't do more than informing the sellers, but if they ignore that
it is only the buyer who get double taxed. No loss for the sellers so why would
they care.
And on top of that bricklink gets to keep the first tax unless you go through
that painstaking procedure. So why would bricklink care.

Once it is stopped by customs you're doomed. Best way is to refuse the package
and go full refund. Do not pay.

Good luck convincing the seller he made a mistake.

Greetings,
Koen

Hi,
This is a request to remove the following Fabuland figures from the catalog.
These figures never appeared in this configuration, and are most likely the result
of someone making their own custom Fabuland figures by modifying existing figures.

4 out of 5 are just a different head on a different body. Any kid could do that.

For the fab12i someone had the change the arms, legs and head. A bit more tricky
but doable.

note: All are added to the catalog by the same user, without any explanation.
I wonder how these got approved.

Not true for this part. There are plenty of original flags of this type around
that predate the tiny print logo.

You have a source for this? Not saying it's not true but now I'm curious

I checked my set 6017 from 1987, one year after the initial release of these
flags and they already have the logo.
And as these flags in black only appeared from 1996 onward, it's safe to
assume those should have the logo.

It could also be a custom print on a genuine Lego part of course.

If it is lego there should be a (very small) lego logo on top of one of the clips.

Must be intentional.

I have 5 of these - one is red, and four 'rust'
The red one has a square hole.
All four rust have star shaped holes.

Never noticed that before.

Maybe when they changed the material, they also changed the mold?

I personally wouldnt make a new catalog entry, but add a comment/picture on the
existing one.

To add: The legs/arms/heads of the fake figures and utensils could have any random
color combination.
And some of the utensils were really, really poorly copied.

Hate to say it, but those are not real Lego Fabuland, but a hungarian knockoff
from the 80s.

Obviously they looked similar, but those who know Fabuland see the obvious differences
in molding/colors/eyes.

See picture of how it was sold originally

Greetings,
Koen

hard to tell the size without reference, but I bet that is not a standard size
(hollow) stud on the wheel.
So my guess it's a wheel from this early duplo part (1975). Not designed
to dissamble so probably broken off.

Hi,

I bought two black axle pins (3749) to complete a classic space set. Quite expensive
parts.
First of all, they were supposed to be axle pins without friction ridges, and
I received pins WITH friction ridges. So that was already wrong.

But I also think that the ones I got are not real lego.
The two suspicious ones are on the left, confirmed real lego part on the right

1) They look and feel different, like a different plastic
2) The friction ridges are of a different size/position
3) the top of the axle part isn't as 'rounded' as the real one
4) no molding pip on the axle part like on the real one
5) the one one the most left has ridges, but has no friction. It rotates freely
6) different notches on the pin part.

Im 90% sure they are a clone brand, but they could be a mold variation I'm
not aware of.
Can anyone confirm whether they are real or not?

Thanks in advance,
Koen

It is known as "Brittle Blue"

Bad quality bricks that degraded over time. If you try to use them, they break
very easily.

(There are collectors for those pieces)

I can't answer all your questions, but I believe they upload the set inventories
the moment they become available for purchase to the public.
It is so that customers who have broken/missing pieces in those sets can get
them through the customer service on the site.

When the parts will be in stock to order on B&P, I do not know. That could take
weeks, maybe even months.

And you are probably right about the bots, that makes most sense. Or else some
very dedicated fella did upload almost 1000 new parts to brickset today
