Your next ConstrucToys contest is here. The prize this time is an $80 store coupon,
or considering the economy, a $50 dollar bill. Your choice. There are no strings
attached, just giving back

Contest is another package arrival estimation.

The package this time is traveling USPS Ground Advantage from Washington to New
York. Mailed this morning with a 6:45 PST acceptance scan.

Contest Parameters:

~ Two entries per member, per 24 hour period

~ No limit to the overall number of entries per member

~ Both date and time are required

~ All entries must be posted as a reply here, for transparency

depends..

If the recipient is an insider, should receive it tomorrow at 100 BBY..

If not, will be May 4th at 25,000 BBY..

~ With identical entries, the first takes precedence.

~ Closest to USPS declared delivered time and date, wins

I'll announce the package's periodic travel updates to keep it interesting.
Will also post the "Delivered" notification screenshot, for all to determine
the winner.

Goofing around encouraged... Tear it up, have some fun

Hey all
I was just trying to pull some Price Guide figures for some parts I wanted to
upload, using Brickstore..

Appears as though only minifig prices are being pulled, but none of the parts..

Could this be something to do with the merges thingy happening today?

Here very slow as well. I also can add some details where to look for the programmers.

Changing status, adding comments or sending invoices works slow, but eventually
it will get through. Adding shipping costs or any other fees will get an internal
server error.

Time to make a store backup, sellers

Well another seller has since replied making it 5 out of 7 orders that the buyer
claims didn't arrive when the seller used standard service!

If Bricklink is interested in the buyers details and investigating them further
feel free to contact me?

Well. That was a fun read. Nearly finished my popcorn too.

I reckon the only thing we sellers can do in this situation is leave appropriate
feedback. Something like: "so sO SO sooooRRRyy the package didn't make
it to you. Full refund made"

Says it all, and to all the right people. Short n Sweet too. A little like my
popcorn.

I'd rather that, than have the Privacy Police knocking

Why didn't you phrase it like that in the first place 1001? Could have saved
the bickering

Have a nice evening folks. Time for dreamland here.

NI is partly 'in' (the EU) if the goods are sent from the EU and partly
'out' if they are send from the UK.

Of course there is a rather large tax issue if goods are sent from either UK
or EU into NI and then moved on to the EU or UK respectively. Hence the ongoing
(and current again) talks about this.

One can probably tell how confused I still am from my original message. I can't
even figure myself what I was trying to say earlier!

Thanks for nearly clearing it up though you two that's got to be the
most precise answer to the the situation I've come across since Brexit -
short, sweet, and clear for laymen like me

One more question to know if I understand it fully : should I be looking at property
prices / rent in Northern Ireland? Our sales to the EU have fallen off them great
white cliffs down south. We miss you

Check the shipping address, that order probably is going to North Ireland, and
that is considered as a sale inside the EU with VAT included in your prices.

Wow that could be the reason, it's the city of Beragh which is in Northern
Ireland, tricky one. Thanks!

That will be it. NI is still partly in and partly out of EU, it is still a real
mess.

Wow.Really?

I assumed it would be the Republic of Ireland still in EU and any address with
a UK postcode, isn't.

i.e. it's a Northern Ireland address, which would have the same rules as
the rest of the UK.

And with Beragh being in the North, we certainly do have a right royal mess!!

Not sure I am liking the new drop down boxes on the Orders page since this morning...

I use a MAC and I find the frames and text are a bit too thin... Can hardly see
them especially when viewing the screen at an angle. Its all a bit of a blur!!
(I always stand next to my partner when picking orders, so am looking from an
angle).

The colours do help a bit. Thats a nice touch that has been there for a while
when viewed on the iPhone.

Maybe the text in Bold please!! (pending, paid, shipped, etc... )

THAT IS UTTERLY ANNOYING!

@QA_Ryan:

When MyTwo Pence mentioned this flaw on Jul 16, 2015 04:22 (http://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=928947),
it took you 19 minutes to fix it.
MyTwoPence called it "the quickest fix ever"

Though when four days later Miro78 alerted that the top bar is still autocorrecting
on the Received and Placed pages (http://www.bricklink.com/orderReceived.asp;
http://www.bricklink.com/orderPlaced.asp), NOTHING HAPPENED SINCE!

How could this turn from the quickest fix ever to the slowest acting ever?
Please, please, please fix it asap. It is so annoying!

You are right - I did mention it back in July, and it was fixed for a couple
of days. But then it came back and I have just lived with the annoyance since...

Though more annoying is the time it takes to load pages on an iPhone (iOS 9.1).
Now this is seriously winding me up. It seems to be only Bricklink that is
affected. All of my regular news websites load instantly.

I'm sure it's not just the bricklink server that is slow for the following
reason:

When a page is "stuck" loading, if I swipe back one page, then swipe forwards
again, the page I want to go to loads instantly!! The wind up is that you never
know when there's going to be this delay... I always find myself waiting
a few seconds, and then if page don't load, I do the swipe back and forth
thing.
Not sure if I should call apple and ask them if it's an issue with iOS 9.1...

This is ruining my "relaxing with a coffee and answering mails/sending invoices
" time!!! Sort it out Bricklink. Please!
