See at the bottom of the "my discussion forum settings":

By ignoring 1 or more users or topics or setting your default message view

by a green dot in the "Community" tab.

So to get rid of the green dot, you simply have to ignore a random user. Just
pick one from the gummies-gang.

My customers always seem to have trouble following the process of approving an
item removal request therefore can these steps not be simplified?

A buyer has asked me to reduce the quantities they have ordered on a couple of
items from their order and whilst I have no issue submitting the request they
always seem to struggle to approve it despite me spending lots of extra time
trying to explain and direct them to 'MY BL' and then 'MY ACTIVITY'
to locate and approve the request

We always send them the link that goes directly to that page:

I will be completely honest here.

We run a shop, and this is not done for charity purposes - it is very much a
part of our income. I am very happy if parts are priced high, as this will generate
more revenue. Consequently, I am no fan of a race to the bottom for every part
that suddenly sees a larger number offered. Compared to when we started, prices
have gone down for parts precisely because of this race to the bottom.

To be able to sell, and still make a living, we price our product according to
what the market does. If the market allows high prices - YAY! Low prices - BOO!

In Germany, but also in Europe, we have the so-called "right of withdrawal".
This also applies to all commercial dealers in Germany who sell on Bricklink.

This also happened to me as the seller. The buyer sent back the order without
any reason and was refunded by me in his original payment method, so in the end
the order never took place
(cancelled from bookkeeping).

What happens with the selling fees for this order, especially $XXX or $XXXX orders?

If you Cancelled it (IBAN...) or Refunded it then cancelled it (PayPal, Stripe...)
then no problem, fees has been deducted for your next fees.

In short, no fees.

... but with Paypal you can kiss your PP fees goodbye.

I was wondering if any parts of the wagon can be identified. Any help would be

I don’t know about the handle, nor the exact ID for the hoses, for the rest:

The square handle grip looks to be one of these with a piece of hose wedged in
it:

PS Thank you for the autoreply idea.

I had one buyer, I told him about the BL message thing, so he started abusing
me by email, and appearing "reasonable" by BL message.

To keep a record of these messages, reply using the BL system and copy/paste
their message in your reply. It is not perfect, but at least that way their correspondence
gets attached to the order in question (or at least to their account).

  Hi all,

I recently bought 2 Futuron Monorail sets (6990). The trans blue antennas are
of a different color blue. See image. The ones on the left have the same color
blue as the other trans dark blue colors in the set, so I assume that the 'light
blue' antennas on the right do not belong to this set.

If I look in the catalogue however, it appears that trans light blue is not a
known color for round top antennas, there is one for sale though, for a huge
amount of money...

There is one set with trans medium blue antennas (4748), but the bricklink picture
of that color is darker than my antennas.

The antennae in your picture definitely appear to be trans-medium blue. The BL
picture (I guess it's actually a render) of the trans-medium blue antenna
looks darker than it ought to be.

One way to tell for sure would be to put the ones you have under a blacklight
- IIRC, trans-medium blue fluoresces.

The new feature of showing-parts-with-the-requested-color helps here as well:

https://www.bricklink.com/catalogList.asp?catType=P&colorPart=74

If you compare the pic of the antenna with others, it is obvious the color is
not very well presented for that part.

downloading my store inventory before someone clicks a link they're not supposed
to again.

A sensible precaution at any time. But just to be clear and summarize all the
technical mumbo-jumbo -

If you receive emails through a reputable mail service, and you receive
an email sent by [something]@bricklink.com, you can rest assured that this email
is actually sent by an official BL mail server.

Obviously, clicking links in any email sent by bricklinks.com etc is asking
for trouble. BrickLink however should also step up a bit, and in light of these
scams should refrain from sending out emails where people need to click a link.
Instead, they should send out emails describing what people should do - something
like this:

We noticed a login from a new device at IP in COUNTRY. If you are unsure about
whether this is legit, please log into your account and change your password,
or contact our support team.

The DKIM-Signature is more secure but it needs to be verified: you can’t do it
‘manually.’  That depends on your mail provider.
Mails that don’t pass the verification don’t make it to your mailbox.

To be precise, they won't make it to your inbox if there also is a DMARC
record that says emails that fail DKIM and/or SPF are to be quarantined or flat-out
rejected.

BrickLink has DKIM set up, and the DMARC record says mail servers should reject
emails that fail DKIM/SPF. Therefore, emails received from bricklink.com and
received by properly configured mail servers pretty much are guaranteed to be
sent by an official BL server. (Note the caveat there - if the receiving mail
server - your provider - does not do its due diligence to check SPF, DKIM and
DMARC, forged emails could seep through.)

Just to be sure, this authentication trail verifies that the mail server that
sent the email to you has all the "sending" security credentials for
a BL mail server - it does not guarantee anything about any issues that might
have happened before said email was handed to the BL mail server to be sent to
the outside world.

Just added restrictions last month, but just this Monday someone ordered a 3
cent part that was right on the limit so with the packaging it was like 1 mm
to much.

You should set your maximum dimensions to the inner dimensions you want
to allow. So for instance, if you ship with bubble mailers, you should allow
for about 4mm for the thickness of the mailer, and so you set your maximum dimensions
for a mailer to something like 360mm x 240mm x 16mm (which sets the maximum thickness
of whatever needs to be shipped to the width of a 2x2 brick or 5 stacked tiles).
