What are your thought about this? Do you think that would be a good idea to provide

If I want to answer to this question, I would find it a good idea. I would want
to know if a seller failed, or if the buyer was unreasonable or wanted to extort
money and then decide to stoplist that buyer. I would not learn enough from a
20-word feedback of the two parties.

“Name and shame” How many times have I seen that phrase invoked here in the BL

hoped it might be with this public plea
You’ve named already (you well know) so offering your details in the matter
would only serve to elicit further punitive action towards the member you've

| With the recent addition of Commander Fox sw0202b, it has got many people in
the community questioning wether or not variant minifigs such as this should
be given an sw number on here?
Have the rules changed or been relaxed? Where will it end?
For the completionists it just makes collecting more challenging (& expensive)
& the worry will be it’ll put people off or they’ll give up altogether, as the
barrier to collect minifigs is already high with over 1300+ in the catalog.
For those wondering, I did own Fox, but sold it as it never had an sw number
& now I’m faced with a decision, do I fork out hundreds of pounds to get it (if
I can find one), or just sit with the knowledge of my collection never being
complete & quitting altogether?
|
The catalog is a fluid entity, and it ebbs and flows in many ways all of the
time. Some things get added (sw0202b), some get deleted, and some just get changed
(like five Star Wars "figures" that were just decommissioned [ https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=2571
]).
It was decided by the current catalog administration team as a whole that sw0202b
should get its own entry because it was made and distributed in sets in significant
quantities.
The Star Wars figure mentioned is no different than this Technic figure
that was printed incorrectly and distributed in sets in significant quantities.
That was just added to the catalog in December of last year.
As catalog administrators, we cannot play favorites and we try to apply guidelines
and decisions as consistently as possible.
Cheers,
Randy
|
Ok—I’ll say hi here
I am putting together info on sw0102–again as the admins have asked of me since
it was years ago when the full triangle of this minifigure helmet was misprinted
into many sets but never got it’s separate variant entry. It was I and a couple
others that tried to get this accomplished but without success. At present Sw0202
torso misprint was accepted really quick by the admins. Why? Just split the
sw0102 to add the variant correctly as sw0102a and sw0102b.

Thanks for reaching out. While I understand why a new site is necessary, just
the thought of how much we may lose in the process makes me depressed.
Anyway, here are my suggestions:
Fix wording on Onsite payment required 'Seller does not support shipping...'
so people can actually figure out what is going wrong.
Move Request a Quote to the beginning of the transaction, and clean up the misleading
wording on every step of the checkout process.
Clean out the 'Shared Shipping Methods' and stop giving new sellers the
impression that they can just pick one of those outdated methods and have their
shop magically charge the right price for postage.
Fix the permanent 'Completed' Order Status if a seller mistakenly sets
it.
Fix the phantom order/payment issue that's been reported. (I just had one
this week: payment but no order.)
Find a way for us to submit sales tax payments when a buyer can't or won't
use the Onsite payments.
Requested Quotes should trigger the same yellow number notification icon that
messages do so we don't miss them.
Only make site changes during BrickLink office work hours to reduce overnight
and weekend downtime that adversely affects European sellers.
Respond more to issues in the Forum or create a place where members can track
known issues.
Yep! There's more but you only have so much time I would guess.
Thanks,
Jen

or just ready for the trashcan, however if it is something worth where can I
sell it and for what price (they are brand new)?
|
They are only brand new if selling as complete figures. Now you have assembled
them, the parts are used so cannot be sold as new.
|
Never knew that, but isn't it better if you ship them assembled in a plastic
bag? Always when I order or sell figures they come or go assembled. I think because
the torso, legs, head just everything can scratch on the way to its destination,
when assembled it can't scratch on the way. Beside that you do also touch
them when you take them out of the bag so I don't get the point why it is
not new if it is assembled, or do you have to take them out the bag with gloves
on?
|
That's not what I said. The parts are used now, but the figure can still
be sold as new even though you assembled it. Often misprinted minifigure parts
are sold as parts rather than whole figures.
As for assembling figures, I try to avoid sellers that do it. They come in parts
direct from lego in a bag with other parts, so I don't really get the argument
that sellers need to assemble them for their protection. Although it is allowed,
just as it is allowed to avoid stores that do it (if you know they do it).
|
I agree—UNLESS buyer wants you to put them together. I get a 50/50 on that

Gonna celebrate with those I care about most tonight. Who knows really in their
hearts, what they’ll be celebrating. But for me, it’s closing the book on 2022
to continue more fully the writing of my new chapter in life. Which I got a jump
on, months ago. Okay, I cheated

| Just wanted to give a heads up to some of the more avid Star Wars minifigure
collectors that there has been some development in the sw0112 discussion. The
origins of this figure and its subsequent deletion from the catalog has been
a topic of discussion here on the forums before without any real answers or direction.
Here is the information I have gathered and the changes to the catalog as a result:
- sw0112 was added to the catalog in 2004
- Shortly after being added to the catalog, it was marked for deletion because
it is not an official minifigure. It claimed to be from set 4504-1 and/or 4504-2
but if you look up the instructions for that set, not only do the figures in
that set have light nougat heads, instead of yellow like this figure, the assembly
of the Han Solo figure shows him wearing the hair piece and not the parka/hood
piece. Per BrickLink's guidelines on minifigure inventories, an item should
only be included in the inventory if the official instructions show it as being
assembled.
- Instead of being shown as assembled on Han Solo, this parka/hood piece is shown
as an accessory that is placed inside the falcon in step 24.
- At this point, many believed that this figure was unique in that it had a hood/parka
piece with different colors/markings (white fur) than any other Han Solo figure
(such as sw0253/a). As a result, this figure has somewhat been treated like
a misprint or rare collector's item. The lack of an inventory for the
figure marked for deletion left collectors with the task of understanding the
difference between the prints on the two parka/hood pieces and has at times sparked
some debate of giving the minifigure a catalog entry again.
- I began digging into this a bit more and received information from the original
submitter of the figure that confirmed a suspicion of mine: When they took the
photo, they just took it of a minifigure they had assembled in that set without
looking up what the instructions had assembled.
- Digging further the catalog admin and I were able to determine that the hood/parka
piece in step 24 of this set was in fact different from the only similar one
in that catalog. This one had white fur, while the other one had tan fur, and
only the tan version was a catalog item.
- So the white fur parka/hood piece had been added to the catalog
and the inventories for 4504-1 and 4504-2 have been updated to the white version.
The tan fur version of the parka/hood piece has been changed to an undetermined
pattern entry and marked for deletion.
and a new entry for the tan version has been added to the catalog as well:
with sw0253 and sw0253a inventories being updated to reflect this.
- sw0112 is not an official Star Wars figure, but if you want to create it yourself,
there is now a listing for the "unique" parka/hood piece.

| Hello everyone,
There is a thin yellow banner that pops up to remind you about the upcoming monthly
maintenance. Please notice that the date on the banner is exactly one week later
than usual:
[REMINDER] The site will be down during the monthly maintenance scheduled
at 12/28 from 01:00 AM to 02:00 AM EST.
Thank you.

I have very bad eyesight for which I use various aids such as reading glasses
and I view websites in my browser at 120% or more. If the print is really small
I use a magnifying glass on top of that.
If the monthly maintenance differs from previous times, you would do better to
change the design of the banner, or even better: send all your customers
an email that this month is different from previous times.
I find the title of your post offensive to people with low vision and feel offended.
Surely you can do better ???

Good morning to you!😀

| I know the answer but how would some one expect you to ship before cleared payment.
The problem is BL has it as paid and the payment is not cleared. Oh and it is
99 lots. Here is their message.
It won’t let me attach an image but PayPal says “Your payment method will be
charged when Kathryn Iannaccio completes your order.” So this is not something
I can do anything about. You have to ship it, it delivers, then PayPal pays you.
No idea why but that’s what it says. I would imagine it tells you the same thing
somewhere, no.
