20% sale and adding new parts almost daily.

Downsizing my personal collection, lots of new parts are added constantly.
New colors but also old colors.

I was wondering if any of you have ever had an issue with new member buyers trying
to scam you or anything like that. I haven’t had a problem with them so far
but there seem to be a lot of new members buying from my store. I don’t think
there’s any reason to worry but it’s also interesting that bricklink tells you
they’re new members if there hasn’t been a problem in the past.

Never refused service to a new buyer, weren't we all new buyers in the beginning

Can we plz have a function for testing our settings.

I have been setting my shipping and have to ask in the forum if i did it correct!

Had the same with the quote function!

Of course there is always a helpfull person but still.

There are two options,

1 a button for testing that shows the result in a screen.
2 the possibility to step further wenn you place an order in your own shop, it
can still be set that you cant make the order final.
Now you cant even go to checkout!

Thx for looking into this,

Since January i have the same part bought 3 times now by a new buyer and i get
no reply on invoice or messages....

This time it is Jeremybryan , regitered on August 11 and placing the order within
10 minutes.
Never logged in since and as said above no reaction on invoice, message or email...

I started and will cmpl the NPB incl a negative Feedback.

Only bad thing is that within the system the parts are stuck for a min of two
weeks.....even three weeks if he/she reply's to the NPB with a "bogus" message.

In my eyes this procedure should be a lot shorter,

My suggestion would be:

-Make starting the NPB possible after 3 days instead of 7!
-Make completing he NPB possible after 3 days of starting it.
-If buyer reply's to the NPB within the three days then make completing it
possible 3 days after that.

This way the parts are not stuck so long.

It's especially annoying wenn the new buyer doesnt log in inbetween the order
and the completion of the NPB.
It's a cmpl waste of time.

The NPB is a payment reminder with the intention to get the payment.
Sending payment can take more time than 3 days, for example a bank transfer isn't
proccessed during weekends or holidays or sending a money order or cash is relying
on the Post.

In a worldwide market there's also a day/night difference.
The time between the seller sending an invoice and the buyer seeing it varies
too.

The buyer can always select Cancel the order and accept penalty.

Please note as Seller you can cancel any order anytime anyway, and relist the
items.
You don't need to go through and complete the NPB process if you believe
money is more important than warning others and you can always reply to an unwanted
feedback.

I know that a payment sometimes takes more time but i wrote already in a reply
that if i sent an invoice and three days later i start the NPB then there is
still 3 days to complete it wich makes a total of 6 days to recieve a payment.
This should be enough to recieve the payment.

In most cases the NPB will be started much later.

Canceling the order is not a good option as you can still get a neutral or negative
FB from the so called buyer....

It's definitely not about the money, its just the time to t takes to get
your part available again.

Yes it is, being able to relist faster is a faster chance of another paid order.

An examplle is an order i got,

Sent invoice and no reply or payment for more then a week.
Started NPB and within a day the buyer replied to it telling shipping was to
high...revolving in an extra 7 days before i could cmpl the NPB.....

Just cancel the order after the buyer replied.
Then you can relist your items and you aren't punishing this new buyer for
replying.
Explain him shortly how BL works instead of chasing him away.
I only complete the NPB and leave a negative for buyers who don't reply.

I explained the whole thing to him in a message sent right after the invoice.
Again in a mail 4 days later.
He is not been online since the day he registered and placed the order.

A simple line like just cancel the order wenn he replies will not work here i
guess.

I just have to sit out the seven days before cmpl the NPB i guess.

System works ok for buyers that reply on the NPB and with my suggestion they
would still have time enough to reply and avoid the penalty but in cases of no
reply it just eats too much time.......

I sympathise with the problem but voted no. In this specific case I can see the
logic but there are other cases where this would not be appropriate and the buyer
could be "abused". We have some sellers here who take more than 3 days to send
an invoice! What I would agree though is that if a buyer responds to an NPB (but
still doesn't pay) then the 2 week limit for the seller completing the NPB
should be reduced to one week, just as for cases where the buyer does not respond.

Robert

If i as a seller sent the invoice and start the NPB three days later the buyer
still has 3 days to reply on the NPB. The total of days to recieve the payment
then is 6 days.
This is more then enough for any payment or reply to the seller that the payment
is made.

Voted yes, although it doesn't need to be the site default but I should be
able to make it MY default. That or they need to get rid of all of the wasted
space on the new layout.

Voted yes but also agree wth above.
