So this came up after i ordered a sticker sheet from a seller, not realizing
it was incomplete and receiving just one sticker that was obviously pulled off
a piece, shipped on a felt backer, and was dirty on the sticky side (which was
no longer sticky). I’m just having a hard time understanding if this is an intended
use case for stickers on BL (regardless of the condition i received my sticker
in).

Ah, I see. If the seller didn't add an extended description letting buyers
know that the sticker was used and then pulled off of a part and was unable
to be restuck, then that seller had a bad listing.

Sellers can list anything as used, but if it's unable to function how it's
intended to, then they have to describe that in the item's extended description.
Of course, used stickers are far more unlikely to be reused than parts,
gear, etc, so it's even more important for sellers to describe those accurately.

as used, incomplete sticker sheets. Is that allowed?

As long as the seller says that they've been removed from parts and lists
the stickers as used, then I think it's within the rules. However, I can't
imagine anyone wanting to by such stickers, unless they're really old or
rare ones.

As far as their sale prices, I doubt there was a price. Promotional items like
that are usually given away as prizes or gifts.

Is there anyone here who has received a response via the helpdesk since the beginning

I've been waiting for over 2 months now, but nothing happens.

The big problem with the new helpdesk is that you don't get any confirmation
of receipt by email. There is no ticket number. You can't upload any documents.

It seems as if everyone has gone underground. Is there still a Bricklink admin
who takes care of the requests?

I'm in the same situation. No ticket, no confirmation...

TLC is hyperconcerned about its public image, so since TLC now owns Bricklink
you'd think they would do something to change that.

The only parts in your store are 8 sticker sheets. 6 are at full price, and
2 are 10% off.

You can add a complete torso assembly without adding the armless/disassembled

Members who created accounts here on BL many years ago never had a place to put
our phone numbers. I don't remember the date, but at some point BL decided
to add a data field for members' phone numbers. However, they messed it
up and only let new members have that data field.

However, there is still a way to add a phone number. If I go to My Personal
Information page ( https://www.bricklink.com/pref_address.asp ) there is a data
field for "Address 2 (Optional)." Some people need that second address
line, but I do not, so I put my phone number there.

It's probably been years since I reserved a lot for someone, and it was probably

need for any notifications to be sent, hence my ignorance on the subject. Thanks

I just had someone buy all of a particular part in my store. (It was 1000+ quantity.)
I still had hundreds that I had not put in my store yet. I thought that he
might want to buy more if I had them, so I asked, and he said yes.

I counted them out and added them to my store reserved for that member. I don't
add lots reserved for someone very often, but if memory serves me correctly,
reserving a lot for a member does 2 things:

1. It, of course, reserves the lot for just that one member so that no one else
can buy it. (I think it makes it so that other members can't even see the
lot when shopping my store. Is that right?)
2. It sends that member an email notification that the lot was added and reserved
for them.

After I added the reserved lot, on the My Bricklink page, the link that says
"1 Lot in my store inventory not yet notified" showed up. In theory
sending out a notification should only email the member who I reserved the lot
for, but also in theory he already received a notification when I added the lot
to my store.

Is the ability to send out a notification for a reserved lot sort of a function
that's effectively doubled in the system?

So are you seeking the sets or selling the sets?

Selling. Typo sorry

The BL price guide can give you an idea of how to price the sets. 928 for example:

https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?S=928-1#T=P

You'll have to upgrade to a seller account first though. Since you already
have positive feedback, it won't take as long to upgrade as a brand new member.

I found it in a lot it would go in the fake bin but before I ask for a refund
from the seller I would like opinions.

If you would put that part in the fake bin, then you shouldn't be sorting
LEGO.

Normally I would brush this off but... why is it that I shouldn't be sorting
LEGO exactly?

Because I came to the forum to ask for people's help on a piece that does
not have the LEGO stamp or the copyright symbol? I can show you many examples
of fake hair/headgear that only have a number and have a different looking head
stud area.

With the influx of fake parts it seems better to be overly cautious rather than
not.

Maybe you shouldn't be replying to help threads...

1001bricks is right—MANY LEGO parts don't have the LEGO logo. Imagine if
that 3625 was a white one, and you had thrown out. Those things are rare! The
forum is replete with people asking if a part is fake because there's no
LEGO logo, and the vast majority of the time it's a legit part. It baffles
me that someone with a feedback score as good as yours doesn't know how differentiate
clones from real LEGO more thoroughly.

I realize that I care about this more than other AFOLs, but to me when a LEGO
part is thrown away, it's a mini little tragedy. Like a tiny voice crying
out in terror and then suddenly silenced.

I agree with edk and disagree with jennnifer. That inverted slope definitely
IS LEGO, and as edk said, it's an older one. It's normal for that particular
inverted slope to have those hollow studs with the thicker walls if it's
from 40+ years ago.

Are the links a problem though? How many people see an obvious spam message with
loads of links in and think it would be a good idea to follow them?

To me, the issue is that the spam exists, not that there are clickable links
in the spam. Stopping any clickable links doesn't solve the spam issue.

Luckily, enough people report them and forum moderators act quickly once they
are reported reported and then the spam disappears if you have the hide cancelled
posts setting selected.

My thought was that if a new user tries to post a message with a URL, BL would
give the user an error (URLs/links not allowed in messages from new members,
or something like that,) and the message would not go through at all. If a spammer
found that he could not post a message with a link, he would give up very soon
(hopefully,) and leave.

You're entirely right about BL members not being dumb enough to click on
obviously bogus links (which makes me wonder why the spammers go to the trouble
of posting them anyway.) I also agree with you that the moderators do a good
job of cancelling the spam posts.

Those are all legitimate parts. I just don't get the hyper paranoia buyers
have nowadays about counterfeit parts. The forum is replete with posts about
parts that people think might be fake because they don't match 100% with
the parts they have from the past few years. As time goes on LEGO makes new
molds and makes tiny changes on most iterations of parts. I suppose the Chinese
clones are to blame. Sigh...
