Same problem here...

  Hello,

I am encountering some weird glitches recently. Firstly, bricklink was blocked
by my Avast AntiVirus. When I added it to exceptions now I can access the cart
but at every store there is a "checkout error". What the hell bricklink. Anyone
else getting this?

I would like to see the possibility to overwrite S&H for any given item, the
same way we can put our own dimensions/weight.

We could offer free shipping by setting it to 0 or for example a flat $10 shipping
fee. Either only for domestic shipping and two values, one for International,
one for Domestic.

When browsing, buyer could see a specific free/flat shopping icon.

If the item with specific shipping is bundled with other items, it would be excluded
from the calculation and its flat shipping fee added to the result (if any).

Further more, in search filters, we could select items with free/flat shipping.

You do that using BrickStock, import a set inventory and update the part prices
with the current price guide.
If you don't want to use BrickStock, you can do a part out of a set in BrickLink
and you can have the current average value of each part.

My advice is that if you start to be serious about BrickLink then to get used
to BrickStock, from there you can create your part lists, export your parts/wanted
list, import the orders you make, etc. Those two are integrated with each others
and at this point, I can't imagine using one without the other.

Make sure it is clear in your terms and that will be within the rules...

But why should I as a Buyer not have that access on a Wish List?

We do, if you see the max price to the average price, then you have a baseline.
When browsing stores, I do not have to check any price guide, I make decision
base on that price.

Even easier is to create the wish list form brickstock when it can automatically
set the max price to the average or anything else.

I am a buyer and a seller, that feature did nothing to me, here an example of
what I was looking at (single piece to complete a set):

Store A:
Part listed at 5c
Then charge 25c for every lot below $1
Then charge 5% paypal fees (even if illegal in the US)
$4.00 shipping

Store B:
Part listed at 20c
$2.81 shipping

Even if shipping is excluded, the 5c part was in reality 31.5c

Price comparison is good when comparing the same thing, as long as BL does not
have immediate check-out prices can't be compared.

I would rather have a link in the store to report a suspicious store and it would
be automatically suspended for enquiry if enough members reports it, that would
happen fast when suspicions are posted in the forum.

Once members reporting with total of 10K (or more) feedbacks combined, that would
trigger the enquiry and prevent buyers to access the store, it would also email
current buyers with order to not pay until this is resolved.

I would like sellers to have the option to add items to an order (buyer will
have to approve them, more or less like the item removal process).

Lately, I had multiple instances of (new) members asking to add or replace items
in their order after their order is submitted. I know it is not a difficult for
an experienced member to do, but it would be very user friendly for new buyers.

I had requests from: wanted to buy 4 tires, not just one, please add it to my
order.
Or someone new that orders a battery pack and motor that are not compatible,
when I let them know in the invoice, they ask me to replace the battery box,
with a one compatible with the motor.

Once again, I understand how easy it is to add parts to an order for anyone that
is familiar with the site and LEGO, but that would improve the buyer experience
a lot for the beginners.

Alternatively, it could be a link that shows all the items needed to be added
in a single page in the store.

Thanks,
CB

There will always be a few months when sets "are retiring" as they may be available
in some countries but not others, so the date will only be an approximation.
But if we take the last few months, sets like 10217 or 10219 can be flagged as
retired.

Thanks,

Hello,

It would be useful on the set catalog to have a retired flag (true/false) and
optionally the month/year of retirement.

Then we could also search our inventories for retired set only.

Thanks for reading,
