Do: Open a store before advertising you have sets for sale.

For a few weeks now you have to clarify with the seller whether it is the part
you want. So you can no longer use these functions.

That difference never was recognized in the catalogue by different entries, only
by a note as it is now.
You ALLWAYS had to clarify with the seller for such variants.

Then this entry is missing in the catalog.

Not really. There are loads of minor or unimportant variations that have never
been individually catalogued, just mentioned in notes.

970c00pb0092 Hips and Legs with SW Luminara Unduli Pattern

Part No: 970c00pb0284 Name: Hips and Legs with SW Imperial Pattern

970c00pb0284 Hips and Legs with SW Imperial Pattern
Parts: Minifigure, Legs, Decorated {Black}

of Star Wars Characters and Uniforms.

Thanks you for your consideration.

It often happens with highly specialised designs and it can be a problem if you
have to know what you have to be able to search for it. But how would you describe
these parts to make them searchable? There will be a lot of parts with a description
like "with dark bluish grey lines".

I find Google lens is now quicker and more reliable than searching by words.

I has a similar request some years ago, which was ok - someone wanted one brick,
to pay and get the feedback. I Cannot remember what I did, but I found it wrong
so I probably cancelled

Now this - 0 feedback, but actually ordered a set and something else.

But - what do people here think?

It is a bit strange. They are a member for 5 months and don't buy anything
in that time. Then ask for feedback and get told they need to buy something.
I would have thought they'd pick a cheap item with domestic postage to keep
costs down and have fast feedback tyrnaround, but instead go for an international
seller. They also contact to ask about feedback rather than just buying. And
coincidentally the seller they pick is a forum user.

If you reply, make it clear what the postage costs are, in case they don't
realise this is an international site.

For some years now, whenever I add a sticker to my Inventory I set Package Type
manually to Weight, and then when someone change it to Volume Bound it changes
my initial setting.

It shouldn't, should it?

I agree. If you manually override something, someone changing it in the catalogue
should not change your manual setting.

Thank you for the replay and making a good point. the refund total was $0.14.
but it will cost 6 bucks in shipping to order from someone else. I assume as
get further into custom builds you just naturally build up spare bricks.

Yes, you will naturally build up spares. It is annoying when you need just a
few cheap parts, so overbuying parts you are likely to need in future is a good
idea.

Type from Weight To Volume Bound thus making Instant Checkout unavailable?

Thank you.

The sticker sheets I have appear to be a mixture of both volume and weight bound.
The majority of the volume bound ones have dimensions, but not all.

Ideally, these probably all should be volume bound. Or at least the larger ones
that might get creased more easily and/or not fit in a regular bubble mailer.

All my orders ship in a box.

I set all my stickers' package type to Weight and that works for me.

When someone changes it to Volume Band (without dimensions) it disables Instant
Checkout, which is annoying.

I'm not sure why someone would that? It should be at store's discretion,
right?

Volume bound for any parts with large dimensions makes sense to me, and it should
probably be consistent. Individual items are always at the store's discretion
as you can set them manually to weight or volume bound. Of course, if the dimensions
are entered then the IC issue goes away.

Any help appreciated!

Instead of parting out 4 copies of set 10291-1, are you changing the numbers
in the boxes on the part out screen to 1 copy of set 10291-4? As doing that will
cause this error.

Be aware that not all sellers here will charge VAT, or be able supply a VAT invoice.

Most of the orders shipped but one was talking a while and when it shipped they
refunded me for 2 pieces they didn’t have. All fine so far.
But it’s really hard to just order two pieces due to minimum order requirements
and overpaying for shipping.
Is there a way to tell the sellers not to complete the order if you can’t complete
the whole order?
Also the seller is highly rated
Any advice or past experiences would help. Thanks!!

It shouldn't happen but it does.

Something else you can do, especially if the parts are cheap, is double up by
ordering the same parts from other sellers if you are already buying parts from
them. It helps avoid missing lot problems and gives you spares if some (used)
parts are not up to quality or if you drop any.

And if you are not in a hurry, space the orders a day or two apart. If one seller
has an issue, there are still others on your list that could provide parts to
make up for other sellers errors.

How did you pay through stripe, as bank transfer refunds can be a few days, back

I don't think I had one. My childhood LEGO was second hand, we had a bucket

There is a reason sellers might want to set an order to complete.

If you want to delete an old shipping method, you cannot if there is an open
order using that method

There's also NO reason to immediately delete a shipping method.

Simply disable it and forget it, delete it later on - it won't be shown in
your shop while disabled.

In short, there is still no reason a seller would set Completed an order

Sure there are work arounds to solve a problem. But if a seller wants to remove
a method, they cannot and are warned it is because there are open orders (even
if they are filed). Hence they can be tempted to complete ones that are already
months old.

There is also the issue that store wide minimum orders take into account any
disabled methods. So if you have multiple redundant methods that are disabled
you still have to edit every one of them if you want to raise the store minimum,
even though they cannot be used by a buyer. Of course, this is not the buyer's
fault (or care), just dodgy programming blocking changes.

It also seems strange that you cannot delete a shipping method while an order
is open, but you can change all the variable parameters in that method.

There is a reason sellers might want to set an order to complete.

If you want to delete an old shipping method, you cannot if there is an open
order using that method, even if it was delivered months ago and feedback left.
Obviously you can disable the shipping method, change the name if it conflicts
with another name, set the minimum order value for that shipping method to 9999
if it conflicts with a change in the store minimum order value, but all that
is a faff just because someone hasn't marked an order as complete.

Personally, I think it is better to use the existing tools, such as using a minimum
lot value or maximum number of lots as these are displayed in the store. Using
more hidden fees that are only seen when viewing the final cart cost or after
placing an order are likely to make a buyer leave the store or cancel the order.

Can someone give me a good reason not to leave bad feedback, is this the seller

and pay the postage?

There is no way a seller can block zero feedback buyers, so some sellers just
cancel orders. You can leave feedback if you like, but you will get a negative
back. For you, that could be serious, as it is possible to block buyers with
negative feedback and that will mean you cannot buy form significantly more sellers
that have this option turned on.

So long as you got a refund, I'd leave it. Least favourite the store though,
and don't return to it in future. Or alternatively, place an order with someone
else and get feedback, then return to the first seller asking if you are worthy
enough now.

Is it possible to have offerings from other themes, maybe branded themes like

There is no chance for licensed themes to be done without the IP holder's

I cannot see LEGO banning someone selling on bricklink for using a small number
of bags with 100 parts in each, when this is how LEGO sells its products. Especially
now they are trying to cut down on plastic waste, banning someone that is trying
to be more environmentally conscious is very unlikely.

That could work but I would still have to manually go through them. I use the

at a certain percentage that would not work as the lower sale items would still
be in the list.

If this was common buyer behaviour because a tool allows it, sellers would double
their prices and offer 50 % off on everything.

Some already do that type of thing, and advertise fake sales in the forum.

very belligerent. Why does Bricklink still allow him to have a store

There are no limits. It is up to potential buyers to look at feedback and decide
for themselves.

nice to have a filter that you can choose the discounts you want to see instead

50 and 75 percent off you could filter for everything above 50%.

Just sort by % off descending.

  People
could support their favorite content creators and not have acess to their adress,
friends that are not on the adress sharing level can also do that, members of
family can have a way easier time finding something you actually want without
the hassle of looking for it and packing and sending it. It would be a really
fun idea all around imo with a lot of ways to surprise someone.

Voted no, because of the idea of supporting content creators. This would be abused
from both sides. The buyer has no idea if the seller sends the item. Similarly,
there is no eller protection as the buyer asks for it to be sent to a different
address to their payment address.

LEGO cannot be seen to be making money from intellectual property that they have

As a seller, 9 times out of 10 I will contact the buyer to let them know something
is missing before shipping and then NEVER HEAR from the buyer. So then their
package is sitting around for days waiting on a response from them. Then their
feedback is 'took a long time to ship and missing parts'. We have no
way of knowing who is going to be a quick responder and who isn't, which
parts are the most important and which is filler.

If you have something in your order that is the reason you placed the order,
then mention it in the notes so that we know and can reach out to you. I've
found that it is always about communication.

I do not run into not having all parts ordered often but EVERY time I have messaged
the buyer Before shipping an incomplete/partial order they have replied to let
me know how they would like to proceed with the order issue.
I do not see why a buyer is expected to or should have to add a note stating
why they placed the order. Isn't it as simple as they wanted to order the
parts in the order?

Of course it is best that s seller contacts the buyer if they are missing parts.
But not all sellers do. So if some parts are especially important to the buyer
then indicating this makes sure the seller is aware of it.

It is not always as simple as they need / want all the parts in the order. I
just placed an order with a store, I only need about half the items I ordered.
The other parts are cheap enough, so I'll buy them even though I don't
need them right now. But I wouldn't place the order just for those extra
parts.

refuses to accept PayPal because "the British" always complain about
his orders.

If every British person that buys from him complains, then chances are he sends
poor quality parts.

Can't you just file a cancellation request, if he refuses then report for
not allowing paypal even though it is offered. Asking for IBAN when offering
paypal is no different to offering PayPal then demanding friends and family.

Yes, I was serious. If the buyer is having the same issue with multiple orders,
it makes sense to ask sellers not to ship if they cannot fulfill the whole order
or the important parts.

EU consumer law as with any laws around the world, is the province of the people
and their respective nations. EU law is not binding elsewhere if not otherwise
accepted elsewhere. Iow, we here live by the laws created by the representatives
we elect to do just that, and not by the laws other people of the world create
for themselves. Put another way, it's not binding nor enforceable elsewhere.

But now back down to Earth for me There is compliance with law (money returned
as the seller did) and then there are the TOS for the adherence of the entire
membership. Othewise, it just doesn't work. Strikes for behavior on a membership
site, have little to do with the satisfying of any law, as I see it.

Happy to be proven wrong and learn. Sure this is eye-opening for others too

I think the direction of travel is actually the opposite. We have seen it with
GDPR laws, tax laws, the German packaging law. That is, if an American seller
wants to sell in the EU (and by advertising to the EU, that is what they are
doing), then they should abide by EU consumer laws. If they don't want the
transaction to be covered by EU consumer laws, then don't sell to te EU.
This is pretty much what happened in the early days of GDPR, even relatively
minor things like cookie tracking for advertising. Many US (and elsewhere) based
sites blocked access to EU viewers as they were not GDPR compliant at the time
and it was easier to block users than resolve the issue quickly. It wouldn't
surprise me if the same happens with consumer laws, that if a US company wants
to access customers in the EU then they have to comply with EU consumer law.
They have the option to not advertise to EU customers. This doesn't always
help the buyer, of course. Quite a few ebay sellers stopped shipping to Germany
due to the packaging law registration costs. Of course, if the German consumer
chooses instead to pretend to not be in the EU, using a VPN forwebsite access
or a US reshipper for their delivery address, then that is (presumably) different.

There are of course other barriers to returns. I buy a fair bit of hobby electronics
from China. If I decided to return a cheap product, the cost for me to return
it is likely to be more than the cost of the product. So the business can easily
comply by saying the consumer can return at their expense but are unlikely to
have to deal with returns.

I think not. BL states this when a NPB may be filed (its NOT obligatory!):

"If there is no payment or communication from the buyer within seven days
of submitting an order, the seller may file a Non-Paying Buyer (NPB) alert."

Seller misused the NPB here as payment was made.
So BL did the only right thing here: remove the NPB as it was incorrectly used
by the seller.

Yes, and if a seller says they will NPB a buyer for not paying, the buyer just
needs to pay then cancel to avoid the NPB.

What could be argued is that BL parts orders are “goods made to order or clearly
personalised.”  Those are exempt from the “cooling-off” period.

It used to be that lego.com PAB orders were not returnable. They have changed
their rules so that they are now returnable so long as the whole PAB order is
returned. So if LEGO have relented on their 'no PAB returns' line, presumably
there is some legal reason behind it.

or do people mostly default to used parts on that list? I thought this could
help us sellers use better methods of selling somehow.

The part I'm talking about is 3068bpb0929 2x2 map tile. Last six months .27
cents used, compared to .17 cents new.

any thoughts on this ? I've sometimes thought about listing everything used
unless it was a rare part. You would lose money up front but possibly make more
sales ???? Apparently on this part you would make more money. Just a strange
topic I thought would be fun to discuss.

It can happen when a once relatively hard to find part suddenly becomes more
common as it is in a new set. There is often a lag for prices to stabilise especially
if people using wants lists don't care if they overpay a little to get it
all in one order.

Usually I would request a quote, but the seller did not have that option, so
I messaged the store, because the seller doesn't want to be contacted.
Does the seller just ignore messages relating to shipping cost, as they don't
want to waste time trying to find the cost of shipping unless they know I'm

I would appreciate any help.

please understand that as a consumer you have extensive rights in europe.

if you do not like the quality of the goods, you can return them to the retailer
for any reason. this is normal day-to-day business in europe.

but sometimes there are dealers who do not like this. the only thing i want to
discuss here is the "Non-Paying Buyer Alert system" has been abused by
the dealer and what i can do about it and this is a problem for all buyers from
Europe if they buy from European dealers.

It has not been abused. Tge seller refunded you according to the law. However
your right to cancel is totally different to the right for a seller or marketplace
to refuse service and stop you buying if you place many orders and keep returning
them, even though you are entitled to return them.

Thank you for reading correctly. Yes, that's exactly what happened! And now
I don't know what to do!

You accept the NPB and move on.

You ordered goods, paid for them, the seller supplied them and you chose to return
them under your EU right to cancel and the seller refunded. They have complied

I know, when I put easter eggs instead of Lego bricks in a shipment, TLG can

Probably none. I imagine that is why they deregister rather than get suspended.

Doesn't tracking always come with standard insurance up to a certain amount?
its when the value of the package exceeds the standard insurance that you pay
for extra insurance.

Yes but it isn't much. £20 for tracked parcels and £50 for signed for. And
it doesn't necessarily cover things like the condition of the box of an expensive
set if it is damaged.

yeah but OP asked for tracking without insurance which I believe is impossible
because tracked always comes with basic insurance (but yes that basic insurance
doesn't cover a big amount)

Not here. You can get basic tracking that has no proper insurance. Royal Mail
will refund up to a small amount for loss or serious damage but it isn't
actually insurance, it is compensation for failure in service.

You can offer what you like through instant checkout. Insurance is for you.
If you offer a cheaper method with no insurance and the buyer chooses it, you
are still responsible for refunding if the parcel is damaged and returned to
you. So add / charge for insurance anywhere you would not be willing to refund
on return.

And he's no longer registered. headhunter_odst (193) Is the seller.

It is good the account is no longer active, although not being registered suggests
they made that choice rather than being suspended or banned.

In the future, do yourself a favour and check feedback for selling before buying
from a store. The recent ones wouldn't have been there when you placed the
order, but there would have been older feedback indicating issues with this store.

Did you follow this and request the cancellation, or did you just message the
seller asking them to cancel it?

If you have the NPB completed against you, then you can try asking for it to
be removed as you thought the postage was too much. The NPB won't matter
unless you make a habit of placing orders and not paying for them. However, you
might get negative feedback for not paying for this order and would not be able
to leave feedback for the seller.

In the future, ask about shipping costs before placing the order if they are
not calculated by instant checkout or detailed in the seller terms. Shipping
large or heavy boxes internationally with tracking can be expensive.

done but there is no error reported, seller's account have been debited the

If someone at BL wish to help, order is 24614935.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Bricklink cannot help you here. If it was paid outside of Bricklink, the refund
has to be done via PayPal and not via Bricklink. Even if it was done via onsite
payment, Bricklink would not be able to refund you, it would still need to be
initiated by the seller.

How do you know that the seller's account has been debited?

I'm just curious about how these custom torsos fit into the catalog and its
policies about custom prints. Thanks!

It will be interesting to see how often people try to add them to the catalogue,
or if any get listed under current listings especially where they have official
prints.

For example, someone could have the "apples" torso printed in green on
the front of the torso and blue on the reverse and then try to list this as a
rare misprint as the back colour is incorrect.

Or have "LEGO STORE 2012 City Name" printed on the back and claim it
is a rare giveaway, or try and replicate existing store torsos.

I'll tell you how I wanted to resolve this, I wanted the price of the head

of the total purchase. I already ordered the head, it cost a total of 19 dollars

another 85 with tax. He would have to pay me 170 dollars, in perspective, 19

so much, or is it?

Why are you paying 100% of the order value in tax?

I was just checking to see what's the average price, and there's a number
of sellers who has 50+ of this set somehow. The set was gift with purchase from
LEGO. Either someone placed multiple orders with LEGO to get 50+ sets or they
got it from another means.

Any idea how would someone get 50+ of 40712 sets legally?

those are all in china. rules are very different there. look at US only listings
its only 1-3 qty with one person having 10 as the most available.

Yeah Chinese sellers often have large numbers of promos.

Once I was asked by someone as I left a LEGO Store if I wanted to sell the promotional
set I had been given (for a small amount compared to the BL price). I hung around
for five minutes and noticed there was two guys, one near the till and one outside
the store. And they did get some hits, presumably people that bought something
they wanted and didn't really care about the promotional set and saw the
money offered as a bonus.

I almost feel tempted to mess with these people a bit by following the link,
then entering "BIGSC" as the username and "AMMER" as the password.
Maybe even submitting random jumbles of letters, numbers, and quotation symbols
as both the username and password.

I did a few yesterday with fake details. They instantly ask you for the OTP once
you have entered the account details, so presumably they are not being read by
a human but just automatically scraped and submitted to bricklink to generate
the OTP passcode request to be sent to your email, which the scammed user is
then meant to give to the scammer through their website.

This is because most quotes don't result in a sale, which is a waste of the

66% of quotes I provide are accepted. I like this system and I don't think
it is a waste of time. I think that is because the buyer actually fills out a
cart.

I think my post was vague. I've had quotes enable in my shop since the beginning.
I even have a link in my terms to the BL help page for how to request a shipping
quote.

My own conversion rate is about 1/3, mostly because international buyers are
shocked a the shipping cost.

I found something similar.

When I was shipping internationally, most quotes were not accepted but I believe
that was mainly because (1) most domestic customers should not need to ask for
a quote as the shipping prices should have been clear from terms (or later, from
IC) so I got few domestic quote requests and (2) the high shipping prices for
lowish value international orders were nearly always rejected.

Once I stopped shipping internationally, I didn't get many quote requests
as domestic shipping was nearly always already calculated though IC so there
should not be any reason to ask for a quote. I can understand asking for a quote
when IC did not calculate shipping for larger sets or very heavy orders. But
I really don't know why some buyers were still asking for quotes when IC
would have calculated it for their prospective order. Nearly all the of the few
I received on such prospective orders did not actually lead to an order once
I entered the same postage costs as IC would have told the buyer. I can only
assume they were hoping that I would give them a lower price than what was being
shown to them through the checkout.

You have some very good points here. The whole communication architecture on
BrickLink is definitely in need of some upgrades. They may want to start looking
into it sooner rather than later.

For example, every transaction I have on eBay has everything done through the
eBay platform. There is never any communication outside of the platform between
myself and anyone that I purchase something from. In that way, the user on the
other end remains completely anonymous. It would be a good model to look into.

That is partly so they can monitor communication and partly (probably mostly)
to stop deals being done outside of eBay. Anonymity is just a by-product. Here,
any businesses selling on ebay (or elsewhere) are required to have their identity
and address shown before a buyer decides to buy.

All of it started fairly shortly after all of the extremely unpopular part merges
started to actually occur. I have a strong feeling that a user here that was
very upset about the decisions made is having some "fun" at BrickLink's
expense.

And judging from the people who are receiving phishing emails (e.g I'm not),
the phisher is probably part of an online BrickLink group somewhere else (Facebook?
Discord?) that all of you are also part of or maybe they ordered from all of
the phishees in the past and already have all of your contact information to
use.

I checked earlier, the .net site is about two months old and the bricklink-com.co
just two weeks. Whether it is linked to merges, I don't know. Haven't
some people mentioned high value sets being added? That suggests financial fraud
rather than just messing about.

+1 since I started selling on bricklink I’ve given up on privacy as someone dosnt
been need to place and order, just a quote, and they can see my name, address,
and email.

Have they changed it then? It used to be that a quote didn't send the seller's
email address or postal address.

You won't get a good price if you sell it as mixed up bulk.

Anyway, with a very official looking email in hand, I clicked the suggested logout
from all devices link and had just about entered my credentials in the new window
to log back in when I noticed two minor things that seemed just a bit off. I
won’t mention those things in case the fraudsters are reading. I looked at the
URL and it was very close to BrickLink’s (it was not the .net one that was mentioned
before). Needless to say, I immediately changed my PW and reenabled the one-time
PIN (I had turned it off because I was being repeatedly prompted for a new PIN
over very short time spans even when I hadn’t logged out). I’ll also be downloading
my inventory

It must be a different one, as the .net one that goes to bricklink-com.co doesn't
really look anything like the frontpage of BL. No BDP banner, no "Browse"
box. Plus the login box is very different as it is a full page rather than a
pop-up. Also none of the buttons like "remember this login" tickbox work
if you click them.

MFA?  They did that with OTP.

Mandatory OTP?  They did that last week.  It’s annoying and people are opting
out (like you did at first).

The OTP doesn't work anyway, as the scammers can get the user to send the
OTP code to them.

I imagine it will be regional, based on what the local postal providers can offer.
It shouldn't affect bricklink sales at all though. It is up to sellers to
provide any tracking in a dispute about non-delivery, whether that tracking comes
from their postal service or paypal.

The OTP codes are going to be useless to combat scammers.

The current phishing scam is asking people to sign in with their user name and
password. Once those are entered, on the next page they are asking for the OTP
code that bricklink has sent.

No doubt they are automating logins so the user enters their username and password
on the fake site and then the scammers attempt a login at the real bricklink,
generating the real OTP email and the user then enters this on the fake site.
The scammer then has the username, password and real (and unused) OTP code which
they can use on the real bricklink.

I still doubt their legitimacy and logged in from a "bricklink.com" shortcut

No doubt they are scam emails. If you go to policyking.net then it redirects
to https://www.bricklink.com.co/ and shows a fake bricklink login page. The only
active boxes are for your user name and password. The forget password and problem
links are dead, as are the stay logged in and register boxes.

If the buyer claims they did not receive the order, you as the sender should
file a claim with the post office (at least that's how it works in Austria,
I assume in Italy it's similar). They should then show you a proof of delivery
or refund the value of the package to you. That probably means hours in "customer
service" phone lines and waiting for weeks for replies, but if it's a
valuable package...

They already said that the tracking indicates it has been delivered. The mail
provider won't refund when they say they have delivered it.

False! I wrote my experience with CanadaPost:

https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1459988

And you think the Italian post service will do the same?

But even so, I would like the rule to say that only minifigs that come
from the factory assembled can be sold as new.

Same here. But I guess the problem is all the sellers that have assembled their
figures would take a hit on their perceived value as their new stock becomes
used, and would also need to do some work to update their listings.

My approach to the issue over the last 8-10 years or so has been to least favourite
every store that says that they assemble minifigures, whether it is in their
terms or they say it here. In the long term that helps avoid stores that do it.

If the mistakes are only a few cents worth of items then I don't bother.
Doesn't have much to do with the number of lots - I don't tend to order
larger quantities, but I've definitely fulfilled such orders!

Even then, I'd still inform (without complaining) the seller about it. At
least they know they have made an error and can correct their inventory and hopefully
avoid making the error again. I don't think informing has to be complaining.
I've told a seller before that a couple of cents part was the wrong one or
was missing but don't worry about sending the right one or refunding. Especially
if it is the wrong part, they might have a lot more of the same part incorrectly
inventoried and will make the same mistake again and again until told about it.

There is nothing special or unique in that set so there shouldn't be an issue
with the listing. If there was a sticker sheet or decorated part that only came
in the set that is missing, then is it really the special set? If an incomplete
set should have a unique part that makes it the set and that piece is missing,
is it really the set?

Except it is missing its instructions which are what make the set unique technically
speaking. But to the best of my knowledge bricklink isn’t worried with the “philosophical”
side of what makes a set a set as I’ve seen many listing for incomplete sets
that contain only a fraction of the parts for a sub build like a car or something
inside the set even if the rest of the set contained multiple other exclusive
parts so i don’t really see how this would be any different so as long as it’s
listed as incomplete then I don’t see why it wouldn’t be allowed

The one I remember seeing it done on - Yoda's Lightsaber - was not a normal
retail set and supposedly special. Whether that is due to licensing or the nature
of the set, I don't know. If LEGO allow sales of a special product that is
missing what makes it special, does it devalue the actual product? That probably
is different to buying a retail set, taking out the minifigs and splitting the
rest into individual builds sold as incomplete sets.

I didn't get a response from the help desk, so I'm asking here.

I noticed that I can part together some official sets using 100% new parts. Am
I allowed to list those sets as "new incomplete" if I mention in the
comments that I parted together the set myself using new parts and am missing
box/instructions/stickers? Or are you only allowed to list a set as "new
incomplete" if you only took items out of a NISB set?

If you are not allowed to list it as "new incomplete", could you list
it as "used incomplete" and say in the comments that you parted it together
using new parts and am missing box/instructions/stickers?

Given that:

"Custom sets or instructions may be listed, provided they do not infringe
on any intellectual property rights, including those of the LEGO Group."

I do not believe I could list it as a custom set instead?

Thanks for information and if possible would like clarification from an admin.

I don't believe you are, although it might be dependent on the set. When
it first came out, someone was trying to sell

continually removed even though apparently listed correctly.

Yes. Just report and they quickly vanish if you auto hide cancelled posts. People
that feel the need to reply to them are a bigger problem, so they get added to
