Hello, does anyone know or have the link to the image in the Castle Reimagined
event. I'm looking for the one of the king seated on the throne with the
glass windows behind him.

I want to see that build in more detail but cannot find it anywhere. I tried
asking the moderators but its been over a week with no reply.

Glad you like my design. Here you go.

Nice stained glass background! Looks like a yellow or golden knight with red
plume

I was just checking to see what's the average price, and there's a number
of sellers who has 50+ of this set somehow. The set was gift with purchase from
LEGO. Either someone placed multiple orders with LEGO to get 50+ sets or they
got it from another means.

Any idea how would someone get 50+ of 40712 sets legally?

is currently available free with $200+ purchase from LEGO. But I
can't find if that's only online or if I can buy from local LEGO stores.
$200+ worth of PAB parts would make this especially worthwhile.

Yeah I'm hoping someone does have one and hasn't bothered listing it.

None currently up on that auction site but it seems you missed one 2 days ago

Hello sellers. I was just curious how many of you use the pick-a-brick wall at
Lego stores for your inventory. My nearest Lego store is 2 hours away and would
require a day trip dedicated to it. Would you consider that worth it? I also
know I'd have to research when they get their restock and get there early
to find the "rare" stuff. What kind of parts do you regularly restock
on?

No. I have 2 near me. 1 hour and then another 15 minutes drive (Great Lakes
Crossing and Sommerset Mall both in Michigan)

Most of the time I go there, it's for personal since most of what I find
on PAB are common parts rarely worth stuffing the cup to resell. Last trip I
went, I did find a lot of 1x4 tan masonry bricks. A full large cup would be $32
+ shipping from Bricklink store and $16 from local store. I also cleaned out
about 20 of lavender 6x5 leaves they had left

!!! Wwwwhhhhhhyyyyyy would they think this was a good idea?

From LEGO: slightly lower arch probably saves them $0.001 cents using less plastic.
Multiply that by maybe 1 million total lifetime variants and that adds up to
a thousand dollars saving. Then again, LEGO uses more plastic with torso containing
ribs vs old torso from before mid-80s that had no rib.

92903 and 6005 (1x3x2 curved top arch) are listed together as the same part even
though it's shown in one picture (attached below for your convenience) that
92903 is maybe half a mm lower at the mid point of the curve. Short of looking
at the tiny and hard to read number, most sellers wouldn't know which one
are which and BL doesn't separate that 2 at all. Functionally they are identical.
But so are minifig torsos with short and long rib and minifig head with blocked
open, vented, solid, and hollow stud. Yet they are separate for historical use,
people prefer to match correct part with original LEGO set when rebuilding older
sets.

I was cleaning my moc now that I've gotten a cheap purple helmet and air
tank and found my old black spacemen when I noticed one of the black and both
of the red arches stuck out a bit. That's how I found out about the minor
variant. And now my moc feels incomplete with 3 of the slightly larger 6005

Part No: 6005 Name: Arch 1 x 3 x 2 Curved Top
*
6005 Arch 1 x 3 x 2 Curved Top
Parts: Arch {Red}

Just wondering if it's practical to have 3 categories, one for verified 6005,
one for verified 92903, and one of undetermined variants, and to try and get
correct part # on future new set cataloguing? I sure wouldn't want to spend
a lot of time looking for seller that has only 92903 in red and black so my moc
has all smooth top.

Could be because Bilbo is far older than most Hobbits due to the cursed ring
and gets special treatment. It's also why he was invited to go on a long
trip with most of the remaining elves at the end of LotR.

Why is Bricklink set @ 7% for FL residents?

Maybe this:
Florida does not have a state individual income tax. Florida has a 5.50 percent corporate income tax. Florida has a 6.00 percent state sales tax rate, a max local sales tax rate of 2.00 percent, and an average combined state and local sales tax rate of 7.02 percent.

Off topic. Nice video! I found it interesting that at 7:55 he said a new mold
for Sting had to be made as the old was long gone. I had assumed things like
that remained on hand somewhere in case of just such a need.

My hopes of someone digging out the 8 spoke antenna mold...thoroughly dashed.

One would think but old molds do go missing or possibly destroyed. Remember
the monorail sets of the late 1990s and early 2000s? People have been begging
for reissues mostly to replace failing and worn out switches and motor and possibly
introduce 2 more tracks and boogie extension that were mentioned in patents and
never released, but LEGO can't make them anymore because supposedly the original
molds are long gone and it was costly to make new one. Monorail parts didn't
really turn profitable for them.

There was a monorail track kickstarter a few years ago that didn't pan out.
I think it was doomed from the get go as the plan was to produce in Germany.
$$$

Though, with only 3 sets and 2 being space, they never gave it a big try, There
was a 4th in the works. Space/water hybrid. IIRC, it was called Seatron.

Yep Sea-Tron. And before anyone says that's a MOC, show me a source of:

Part No: 2619 Name: Monorail Motor Cover
*
2619 Monorail Motor Cover
Parts: Monorail {Red}
in yellow as well.
There are many more parts shown in picture that were never released in the color
as shown. One could use paint to change the color of solid colored parts but
no one can turn 10x10x12 quarter dome into trans-red

why the money my paypal receive is less than the total amount of the order?

if the money is charged by BRICKLINK, why they send me the invoice every month
to charge again?

i check my paypal account this price differences is call the Partner fee that
means it is paid by bricklink to PayPal, but why should i pay it?

Hello,
I think the "Partner Fee" you can see as a deduction to the paypal payment
is the international VAT which has to be paid from the buyer. This VAT is directly
charged by Bricklink and is not additionally added to your monthly fee. On the
monthly fee you see only the regular Bricklink commission fee.

Regards,
Oliver.

It’s indeed taxes, but not necessarily VAT: it’s Sales tax in the US.

And it’s not taken on your total, it’s added on the buyer’s side.

Simplified example for a 10% tax:
— the order is €90,
— the shipping is €10,
— so the total is €100 for the seller,
— the buyer pays (90+10)×1.1 = €110,
— the seller receives €100,
— the “partner fee” is €10.

So the seller wants €100 and gets €100, but the buyer pays €110 and that’s what
shows on the PayPal transaction.

More, what’s confusing is that the tax is called ‘tax’ in the “plus” part of
the PayPal transaction and “partner fee” in the “minus” side.

And where it’s a bit more complicated than this simple example is that PayPal
takes their fee on €110, not €100, so the seller gets €100 minus the PayPal fee
calculated on €110 instead of €100 minus the PayPal fee calculated on €100.
But that’s just a few cents less.

As for the taxes, they are only collected in these situtions:
— Sales tax: most US buyers, when they buy from any seller for any amount,
— UK import VAT: UK buyers, when they buy from non-UK sellers for less than £135,
— EU import VAT: EU buyers, when they buy from non-EU sellers for less than €150.

(UK/EU VAT are directly paid by the buyer for other amounts.  Domestically (intra-UK
/ intra-EU), it’s handled by the sellers when necessary.)

More info here:
US: https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=2467
UK: https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=2514
    https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=2511
EU: https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=2517
    https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=2518

There's also Paypal fee. It's a percentage plus change. Using the above
$100 example, the fee would be a bit over $3 so OP would be getting $97 in the
end

I am still using ancient Zebra 2844. Got it over 15 years ago and aside from

last year it has performed well.

It's built like a tank and doesn't use DRM like some of the newer label

So...I have a real silly question. Our local post office picks up mail several

whether we make the morning or afternoon pick up? In other words, do you know

or whether the early pick up makes a difference? Sometimes I feel like Tom Hanks

Been a while since I've sold and shipped LEGO but I've sold other stuff
on that famous auction site. My local post office closes at noon as it's
a rural area serving about 1,000 people so they are rarely busy even during the
short 4 hours they are open.

Unless someone paid for an overnight fast service, any packages not paid before
11 am will go out the next business day.

Your store is closed which makes it hard for people to look at what you have.
You could open it and set order minimum to $5000 or so. That way anyone local
can check your store out and consider if it's worth buying your inventory
or not.

PS only your inventory. The store and account you have can't be traded or
sold. Just a heads up.
