| I have, and I don't recommend them as the quality has downgraded since they
moved away from using gobricks
I recommend wobrick, which uses gobricks and is quite similar in quality to Lego
from what I've experienced

| Harry Potter minifigs aren't very valuable, so I'd sell them with the
sets
If it were Star Wars, I'd sell them separately depending on the minifig

| I would recommend using Lego Pick-A-Brick for this, as you can sort by minifigure
parts & order in high quantities when compared to the average Bricklink store
Normally I'd recommend Bricklink over PAB, but PAB is a much better option
in this case

| Yes, it's normal - sales usually die down during summer & won't pick
up till around October/November during the holiday season

|
| You need to understand that Bricklink is owned by a small family company that
struggles to make ends meet each and every month, so they don't have the
time or resources to improve things that actually matter.
The help desk has, at the very least, a 4 month backlog (as people have been
saying for the past 12 months) and there's (allegedly) only 1 guy dealing
with all the support tickets. He's locked in the cold, dark basement and
only given saltine crackers and milk for sustenance. He hasn't seen the light
of day since he was hired 5 years ago, and all he knows is the bluish hue of
the computer screen that degrades his retinas day-by-day. Please cut Bricklink
some slack, they're doing all they can to help the userbase.
Consider donating more money with your monthly fees so they can maybe hire more
customer service people for the umpteenth time in the past 2 years... maybe that'll
help, or maybe they'll just get better at brainstorming excuses as to
why they're getting nothing meaningful done; it's like gambling, but
without the fun or chance to win anything.

| | But UTLF point may be that time, energy and money spent on those weren't
used to fix or upgrade our day to day use of the current BrickLink.
For a few years we only see as upgrades: more taxes, documents and procedures
to follow.
I don't blame BrickLink, it's everywhere - the legalized income pressure
gets higher and higher on small people, with nothing/few in compensation.
|
Yeah, that's what I was getting at: pouring resources into useless changes
that nobody asked for and acting like they're doing work when the important
stuff gets swept under the rug
But hey, make sure you pay your seller fees or else we'll shut your store
down! We need to fund more useless projects instead of tackling things people
have been asking for for years now!

| I don't care about the spam itself, I'm more-so bothered by the fact
that the Admins in charge allow it in the first place; it may be an insignificant
annoyance, but for me, it shows they don't care. Action speaks louder than
words, and they're full of empty promises.
They can say they care, they can give as much lip-service as they'd like,
but it's been going on for years now and they still haven't come up with
a simple solution to forum spam. I've said it in the past, but it doesn't
really make me feel confident in the site's security when they can't
even deal with simple spam being posted daily for the past 3 or so years.
"It's the spaghetti code though! it's impossible to tackle!!!!"
Is that why they've done umpteen complex & pointless changes that no one
asked for while ignoring real issues? Implementing a MOC pop-up shop, a designer
program, a 2nd forum for Studio, and merging a bunch of parts for no reason?
It's extremely frustrating to watch, especially when some changes have been
protested for weeks before they implemented them. But "muh spaghetti code"
prevents them from implementing a requirement or filter for forum posts. Makes
sense.
I personally think the whole Bricklink team needs a restructuring or needs to
be replaced entirely. Sorry to say, but this seems to have been an issue for
way longer than I've even been on the website judging by other posts that
have been brought up over the years.
They hired more helpdesk staff back around Fall 2022, then on top of that they
had Lego step in and provide customer service reps this year, and that STILL
hasn't helped the help desk backlog, that has been "months behind"
for months now with no real info as to how bad it is, we can only go off of what
regular forum members parrot in their posts.
On top of that, the community engagement people hardly communicate with us...
the only admin that actually seems to acknowledge posts is Russell, but even
then a lot gets ignored and looked over (I know he can't reply to everything
and read everything, but there are a lot of popular forum posts that have valid
concerns that get ignored)
I love Bricklink, just hate to see it mishandled and stomped on like it has been
for the past while now.

| | Are they why if you search up “.” On YouTube then you get creepy results?
|
Nah, that was around years before AI - it's closer to those Elsa/Spider-Man
videos that were "made for kids" & had a ton of inappropriate content.
The "." videos were some sort of algorithm bypass that allowed people
to upload disturbing content & not get caught by YouTube's filtering system
The "." search was "fixed" in a sense that YouTube no longer
suggests weird search terms or videos with foreign symbols in the title when
you search "." but it still results in creepy videos showing up (which
are titled "Full Stop Punctuation" although I think those videos are
just copycats trying to get views off of people who learned about the whole situation
after it was "resolved" - none of the videos being suggested contain
disturbing content, it's just odd/creepy videos with unrelated, custom thumbnails
to draw people in; it's basically a creepypasta sort of thing now
Before YouTube caught on it was a mix of odd/creepy copycat vids and actual NSFL
content, no idea how people figured it out but I'm glad it's somewhat
fixed now

| NPBs stay permanently for both buying/selling, I have some from 2021 still in
my "orders received"
I think that's how the strikes are enforced, if the order disappears the
strike doesn't exist; I may be wrong though

Gojira is a really good band, but they're also pretty heavy & take some time
to adjust to if you've never ventured into metal music (they're also
the only metal band I enjoy, everything else I've heard is hit or miss/executed
poorly)
