| Honestly, before buying anything I check the complaints. If they had a couple
and it's been over a year, ok, everyone makes a mistake. BUT 12 in the last
year? That is a red flag.

| I've only had to ask one time about the shipping. Most of the time it's
not too bad. But the one time I did, the seller actually said he could pack
it differently and that cut the cost by almost half.
Worth a try to question.

| Honestly, I have only purchased from outside the U.S twice (I've made over
300 orders over the years) and then only because I really needed the parts, and
they were not available anywhere in the U.S., as cost and time and cost of shipping
from foreign countries is really high. I would imagine it is the same with others
buying from the U.S.

| Guilty - lol. I don't generally buy the whole lot but if I need say 13 and
they have 15 or 20, I buy them, especially when it is a part that I will likely
need again.

| I started having problems in November. Instead of charges on my paypal credit
card, the money was taken directly from my checking account. Bricklink is the
only account that no longer links to my paypal card. I was able to add a different
card as my preferred payment method but have not yet made a purchase so I am
not sure I can use it to pay for bricklink purchases.

| Yes we do but if you order standard bricks, they still come from Denmark and
take quite a bit of time. If you order Bestseller bricks you can get those in
about a week. If you order enough shipping is free and you earn VIP points.
The nice part is that if you need a large number of a certain piece you can
order it all at one time. However, be aware that their packing leaves a bit
to be desired as they are all dumped in one bag and rub against each other during
shipping. So, even new pieces may not feel quite so new.

| I had the same problem. It has to be a bricklink issue as I purchased from Brickowl
at the same time and I was able to use paypal credit. I even went into my paypal
account and made sure my preferred method of payment was set to paypal credit.
No clue.

| As a frequent buyer I regularly look at feedback prior to purchasing and if someone
had negative or neutral feedback that is more than a couple of years old, I totally
ignore it. But to be fair, there should be a system of purging feedback, good
or bad. Some buyers and sellers can have a bad experience and unless it is recent
and frequent I would hope it doesn't stop people from buying. In the same
tone, if someone has recent bad feedback, then I do avoid them. It's just
not worth the anxiety.

| I was watching the news this morning. It seems that $600 instead of $20,000
is the new reporting level for income from paypal and venmo. Has anyone thought
about how this is going to affect Bricklink?

If your living room has windows it will still affect it. Last time I checked
windows don't block much UV light so it will still affect your bricks. also,
I've heard it can be a temperature thing.

We have windows, but they all have room darkening curtains and blinds and doors
are only open to go in and out. So, as little light as possible. It could be
temperature but honestly I suspect Lego could find a way to make these bricks
less susceptible to yellowing. Just like the reddish-brown bricks that I keep
breaking.

| I've made quite a few purchases and until recently some of them went astray.
The first thing I did as a buyer was to go after the postal service, and 100%
of the time I got my package which was either sitting in the truck or in my neighbor's
mailbox around the corner (she lives on the same address but instead of Court,
her address is Road). If you have a tracking number and the cost of the item,
you can file a claim with them.
Also, if you don't get a package a claim can be filed through paypal.

| Check store terms, some shops only ship on certain days, at times they post vacations
and that they will ship on a certain date. The other thing that I do now is
check their ratings. If they have too much recent negative feedback, I avoid
them. Had a situation last year when it took nearly 3 weeks to get a package.
In hindsight, I should not have purchased from this store as they had literally
hundreds of negative feedbacks. Good luck

| I just bought some small parts storage bins from Lowes, Craftsman brand, reasonably
priced. Great for storing small parts of which I suddenly seem to have a lot
of.

| I have been a buyer for years and only had one issue so I no longer deal with
that shop. In my defense, I knew better than to buy from them as the negative
reviews are in the hundreds.
I always leave feed back but, as a buyer I don't always receive feedback
from the sellers even when I leave a positive review. Because I buy a lot, I
mark things completed and then filed so I don't have to look at it when I
am checking order status. I don't know from a buyer's perspective whether
or not you can just file this order and be done with it or not.
Some of the sellers don't leave feedback but actually give me coupons for
the next purchase so I guess I was a good buyer. I would not worry about it
as long as they don't say anything negative.
