For administrators,

Why don't My Store Shopping Settings hold permanently?

Under BrickLink 1.0, I set my desired shopping settings once, and
they were applied to all open store pages (i.e. tabs) whenever logged in, and
I was done until the end of time ... or under the circumstances until the roll
out of BrickLink 2.0.

Under BrickLink 2.0, desired shopping settings have to be continually
reset for new logged-in sessions, and during individual logged-in sessions, and
under numerous store tabs
. All of this effort is required despite BrickLink's
present and inaccurate claims on the My Store Shopping Settings page/window/pop-up.

Please explain why you are unable to provide community members with this 1.0
service level, which has been absent for a year and a half.

You need to show in status layers informations about the whole activities of
the account owner :

ID : when the mouse is over, you should show the total number of commands done
or received...

Date : when the mouse is over, you should indicate the date of first command
and date of last command, and informations about regularity of commands...

Seller/Buyer : when the mouse is over, you should indicate the total number of
sellers/buyers and the average commands done with indication of maximum (32 commands
by this shop) and 1 command to 42 shops among the 52 shops used...

Items/Lots : when the mouse is over, you should indicate all lots received and
number of items received, and informations about those in shop and those owned
in wishing lists...

Ship. : when the mouse is over, you should indicate the total fees paid for delivery
(=== wastings, compared to Mail Direct International PSC...)

Insur. : when the mouse is over you should indicate the total amount wasted for
insurance fees and the use of such service when problems occured! (=== wastings,
compared to Bill !T by use of EJFJ Contexual Computing for retribution of any
useful act...)

Chrg. : when the mouse is over you should indicate the total amount of charges
paid, and indication if this is above or lower to what other bricklink.com users
pay...

Credit : when the mouse is over you should indicate the total amount owned by
other shops and the number of concerned shops, with the maximum due by some of
them and the minimum amount due, and you should indicate the pieces they own
from wishing lists and coupons available and special promotions made by these
shops!!! Read after, for letting the user being able to click on links to open
the shop in a new panel...

Order Total : when the mouse is over you should indicate the total amount paid
for the pieces in all commands (with of course all those deleted, older than
12 months)...

Grand Total : when the mouse is over you should indicate the total amount paid
for all bricklink users/partners services and an evaluation of the position of
the member according to other members...

Pmt In : when the mouse is over you should indicate the number of currencires
used, and the paiement methods used

Status : when the mouse is over you should indicate how many commands were done,
how many are completed (delivered and finalized), and how many are still not
delivered, and how many need to be paid, how many need to be prepared, ...

Changed : I do not know what can be put there, the date does not reflect anything
accurate without EJFJ Contextual Computing, as you can change this date by changing
the status of the command and restoring the previous status by changing it again
and only the date will be kept changed (mistake)!!!

Feedback Me/Them : when the mouse is over you should indicate how many feedbacks
were done by the user, with comparizon to 100% (hidding that some users do not
evaluate correctly their sellers... With Bill !T this is done automatically,
with price proactive adaptation during 20 years, so no constraint and no risk
for anyone, all benefit of the most effective average!

Paid/Pmt Method : when the mouse is over you should indicate how many commands
are paid and some informations which are more accurate from the Status layer
and from the Pmt In layer...

To improve the efficiency of your website, you should add a first table-row with
all these informations, this should be kept hidden, and when a layer
need to be shown when the mouse enter (onmouseover) the header cell, it take
the content of the hidden row to show only this cell content, and this layer
need to be hidden
onmouseout... But when the member clicks on the table header, the row appears
or disappears, showing all informations of all colums and allowing the member
to click on the link to access the different parts of your website, in a new
panel (target="_blank") allowing the member to get more informations or benefit
of coupons and making new commands... and the informations given in this command
allow him/her to have a global view of what has been done on your bricklink.com
website with positive comparizon compared to other users, allowing them to spare
wastings and use more efficiently your tools... thank you for proceeding immediately
: only the best is legal according to EJFJ Principles http://principles.ejfj.org,
and you should not have anything to do to benefit of this, only if you can make
improvements, for the benefit of all, and not only those who use your website
(illegal partiality, unrespect of EJFJ Equity Principle!).

There is a button reading "Hide Items if Have Qty is ≥ Want Qty" in the wanted
list filtering, but I cannot get this to work. When I tick it and click "Apply"
nothing appears to happen and the button unticks itself.

I used to move all the part with Have Qty = Want Qty to a new wanted list 'Project
purchased' to get a wanted list with only lots of missing parts. Nevertheless
this seems to be a bug. The Checkbox seems to do nothing. It would be really
useful to see those parts missing for a specific project without destroying its
wanted list.

Hello Bricklink Managers,

I'd like to suggest having a feature where you can have a listing of sets/figures/etc
of what you have without having to be a seller. I know this is primarily a buying/selling
site but I feel this would be a cool feature for users to be able to "show off"
or display their collections without having to become a "Seller". Please let
me know what your thoughts are on this.

The Quote function really is painful and only good for postage requests.

For example a buyer requested a quote but one of the items was incorrect. I message
him and inform him and he then submits a second quote for just the item that
he wishes to correct.

Ideally I would have liked to delete the first incorrect item and then combine
both quotes but there is no features at all.

I have a new iPad Pro 10.5” running iOS 11.2.1. I just tried to log in for the
first time (on this device) and could not because the login window kept disappearing
when I tried to enter my password. I was in landscape orientation and the keyboard
was in the way, and when I tried to scroll the page up so I could type in the
password box, the login window would close. I finally made it work by rotating
the iPad to portrait orientation.

That scroll attempt also caused other screwups, like the cursor and entered text
not showing up in the data entry box, but below it.

We want to make a suggestion to improve the Bricklink catalog.

Every now and then, we receive request from our customers about parts that exist
with different variations, e.g.:

 
Part No: 553  Name: Brick, Round 2 x 2 Dome Top
* 
553 Brick, Round 2 x 2 Dome Top
Parts: Brick, Round

We are asked to explain the differences between the variation. Most of the time,
our customers don’t care about the variation at the end of the day. However,
they have to check all different varieties, e.g. to look for the lowest price.

Based on this issue, we would like propose to list all items with different variations
under the undetermined entry in addition to the entry of the variation.

Example: The part 553a would be listed under the entry of 553a and automatically
the entry of 553.

By following our suggestions, people who do not care about the variation could
simply look in the undetermined entry. Bricklink would thus be a bit user-friendly.
At the same time, people who care about a specific variation could still search
for it.

We hope you like our suggestion.

When I receive messages from members that have been generated via the Contact
Form, my instinct is to hit the 'reply' button and then proceed providing
a response to whatever question has been posed. THis is the way every other email
or messaging system I have ever encountered works.

But doing so yields an unpleasant surprise: my response is sent to a black hole
instead of the actual sending party.

I (now) know that the member address can be found in the body of the email, but
two things:

1 - Would I ever really want to reply to 'blservice@bricklink.com'? (No)

2 - Replying on a mobile device where copying text segments (the email address)
isn't very easy makes this situation worse

I can't think of any good reason that the sending member's address ISN'T
the one provided upon receipt and would respectfully suggest that it be changed.

When I view instructions in my inventory list, the title is prefixed with
' (Instructions) for Set ' ....
I think it would be helpful if this was done in shop listings, as currently the
only indication that the listing is for just the instructions (apart, possibly,
from a very low price) is buried within the breadcrumb hierarcy of categories
below the listing, where it follows the words 'All Items', which to a
newcomer to bricklink could be taken at first glance to mean all items in the
set.
Otherwise the listing reads exactly the same as one for the whole set.
This has caused me to double-take on a listing on more than one occasion whilst
browsing shops.
