Most parts and figures should be 35% off 6 month average sales.
Closing store and selling off inventory.

Thanks

Hello

Is there any reason to not accept Etransfer from a Canada to Canada order.
I saw some stores where they collect tax has been suspended in the states for
off-site payment and want to avoid any issues.

Thanks for any insight.

A buyer just recently claimed their £20 order with us didn’t arrive and so before
refunding them I did what I always do which is search my inbox for their username
to see if there have been any previous communications with the buyer?
It turns out that they previously placed just one other order with us to value
of £30 a year ago which at the time they claimed also didn’t arrive therefore
2 out of 2 orders not arriving is already very suspicious!?

With this in mind I contacted around a dozen sellers that had also recently sold
to the buyer asking if they wouldn’t mind sharing how their own recent transaction
with the buyer went and most didn’t have any problems with the buyer as tracking
was used but of the four sellers I spoke to that only used standard service it
appear 2 out of 4 of those transaction the buyer claimed didn’t arrive but not
only that but they just so happened to be the higher value orders too at £45
and £50. The other two were valued at around £10 with those sellers reporting
no issues!

Bearing in mind I had only contacted sellers going back a few months to November
and the fact that I can only contact sellers who I can see have left feedback
(Many sellers don’t even leave feedback for retaliation reasons) I didn’t have
much hesitation when it came to blocking the buyer from my store after issuing
their refund!

The question is shouldn’t more of us attempt to contact other sellers to build
up a better picture of a buyers activities? Because when we refund a buyer without
question only us and the buyer know exactly what occurred and presumably we then
just leave positive feedback for one another on the basis that lost packages
can sometimes occur!

However at the same time when sellers refund a buyer for lost package I think
Bricklink ought to be keeping a record of how frequently sellers are refunding
a buyer for lost package claims?
The frustrating thing is when I went to refund the buyer I had to choose the
reason for the refund but there is no “Lost in post” option and so I had to select
“Item Missing or Incorrect” which sounds like I’m refunding because of my
own incompetence to get the order right which is not what occurred?

The other issue I have is that despite having already refunded the buyer with
them appearing seemingly happy with the resolution! What if they later notice
I've blocked them and take offence at that and choose to leave negative feedback
out of frustration?

I agree that there should be some form of tracking.
Maybe as simple as positive feedback saying. “Package lost, full refund provided”
Then at least other sellers could look back and see if there is a trend.

Hello

Had a buyer inquire for several torsos asking to check the version, "H" or "O"
type vs "X" type.

Is there a higher value for the "H"/"O" versions?

Thanks

not quite true its possible the buyer selected offsite somehow by accident. I
would remove these options to prevent future errors as most places require onsite
payment now and most people prefer onsite

Thank you. Fixed now.

Edit a manual invoice order, and change to paypal on site.
I'm off!!!

Got it. Thank you!
I appreciate the help.

Is it possible to add a link to on-site payment in an invoice.
I had a scenario where a buyer wanted to add to his original order after payment.
Normally not a big deal, they make the order with a bypass code, I send an invoice
with the cost without shipping they send payment via PayPal and I mark the order
as paid on BL.

With the upcoming change to the tax collection in Canada this no longer works
as it has to be on-site payment for BL to collect taxes.

So now when I send an invoice I would like it to include a link to the on-site
payment option, is this possible?
If not is the only option to direct the buyer back to their order page for payment?

Thanks for any/all help.

Edward

If the buyer select onsite payment, then BrickLink will automatically add a PayPal
link/button to the invoice.

I only offer on-site payment and the buyer is saying their is no link in the
invoice.
He has almost 400 feedback so not a new user.

When paid one can't add to the order.

Make a manual invoice Shipping Method, edit the order to say PayPal onsite, send
the invoice to the buyer, and he pays simply opening the order and clicking the
"Pay" button.

Everyone's happy; BrickLink, the taxes, the buyer and you.

If not this, I don't understand the question, sorry

Buyer paid on-site for the first order through instant checkout but has struggled
with using on-site payment for the second order as it was a manual invoice and
suggested I put an on-site payment link in my invoice email.

I do have a manual invoice option which is what they used, they needed the bypass
for not meeting the $4 minimum.
You mention “edit the order to say PayPal-on-site” how is this done? I tried
to direct them to their order page as I thought there was an on-site option there
but wasn’t positive as I hadn’t needed to pay that way myself for a while.

Unless there is another way I will suggest they open the order and click pay
now on the order page.
Thanks sorry if this seems overly simple but just want to have my ducks in a
row before taxes start getting charged.
I saw some stores getting suspended for accepting off-site payment even if order
went through bricklink.

I am getting married in about a year and my fiance and I were thinking of fun
and unique gifts that reflect our interests and that our guests would enjoy (and
wouldn't weigh much since everyone will be flying to and from). We randomly
decided upon a Create Your Own MiniFig Bar setup. We are thinking of having a
container for each of the following: heads, torsos, legs, hair/hats, and misc.
Since I have only ever purchased individual pieces once (and that was to create
our own minifigs) I was curious what some suggestions would be to assist us in
procuring enough parts to make approximately 150 figures without breaking the
bank or going insane trying to order 10 from here and 15 from another place,
etc. Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you all in advance.

Below sorts USA based sellers by number of city figure lots.
I would start by checking out their pricing and selection.

  Hello,
I logged in this afternoon to find my seller's privileges have been revoked
without warning or notification.

The only reason given is "Temporary hold for info - please contact Admin"

All my fees are paid and I have no NSS reports. Does anyone happen to know why
my store has been suspended? Is it normal for BL not to give a specific reason
for suspension?

I've submitted a help desk ticket, but from what I've read looking through
these forums and contacting users, it could take several weeks to get a response
--or worse-- NO response at all. Anyone have experience with the wait
times for a matter like this?

Additionally, if anyone has had their store suspended in the past, any details
on the resolution would be greatly appreciated.

I've been glued to my phone refreshing my email all day today, as this unwelcome
surprise has me worried sick. I'm a full time student and I rely on BL to
cover rent and living expenses. All my money is tied up in my inventory, so if
my store is permanently closed I'll be in deep trouble.

Thank you to all for reading

Recently the trend has been using offsite payment which prevents BL from collecting
taxes.

It is after all, the buying n'selling that maintains the site, to
include the forum which you seem to enjoy as another social media platform. At
the very least, the shown experience would lend more weight to your inputs, imho.
Something to consider, my fine panthera. Build you feedback/experience here.

Understand that I mean this in the most positive way. I enjoy your inputs and
I'd like to see you grow within the community and not just as poster here

Maybe just me but felt a little like an eloquent version of “buy something or

Hey guys very odd question but it has been nagging me for sometime.

I am always looking through studio and other moc websites to see what to build
next. I'm always seeing cool mocs, some are quite complicated others are
not.

When seeing these mocs, just by looking at them I know how I would build 85%
of them. Is that like normal, or just a cool thing?

It just all comes to me, I dont even need instructions for them, I can just look
at the pictures and boom, I just know.

Is this just me??

Here are some things I've build with no instructions

https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?S=40316-1#T=S&O={%22iconly%22:0}

https://www.brothers-brick.com/2020/01/19/these-lego-school-supplies-are-sure-to-make-you-pleased-as-punch/

https://www.bricklink.com/v3/studio/design.page?idModel=360378

Yeah I just think its odd that I am able to do this.

I have built over 100 Mocs like this, (about 20 are brickheadz)

The Cute Giraffe

It's cool and normal at the same time.

I think certain people are drawn to lego because they have good spatial ability.
They can see an object and recreate it with bricks without too much difficulty.

Other people find this challenging and are drawn to other areas (music, cooking,
etc.)

To each their own.

But it's amazing that you are able to recreate MOCs from just a few images!
And that you have built over a hundred in this fashion!

+1

  Welcome to bricklink!
just a heads up it looks like some of your items are a bit pricy for example
your

Minifig No: sw0354 Name: Zev Senesca - Plain Helmet
*
sw0354 (Inv) Zev Senesca - Plain Helmet
Minifigures: Star Wars: Star Wars Episode 4/5/6
is priced at $9.99 when it usually only sells for about $2.80 in the same condition.
On a side note, I'm happy to be your first customer!
also, you might want to change to the wording on this
"After the shipment has been made, the seller is no longer responsible for damage
that may be caused to the product(s) during shipment unless the buyer purchased
shipping insurance at checkout."
as whether a buyer buys insurance from you or not the seller is fully liable
for the items until they are delivered so if they get damaged or lost in the
mail and the buyer hasn't bought insurance it is still the seller's responsibility
to cover it

I appreciate this. Some items are listed high doe to the fact I was listing them
high on another platform. So when I direct people to my site it is more intended
for local pickup. I will work on this though.

I would be cautious with this as it could appear to be fee avoidance.
If you are posting on market place with a link to bricklink but then taking cash
payment and deleting the inventory from BL. Maybe others can weigh in here if
I am wrong.
