LOL! Oooooh my lord, if you only knew how far out of my way I went to source
biodegradable bubble wrap, poly bags, tape and mailers. I need more carbon credits
for my own flatulence then I do for my printing.

Speaking of which, the same company I'm buying from has released mailer bags
made from recycled ocean plastic and I'm dying to buy some, but their bubble
inserts (as of the last order) didn't fit. So I'm waiting to deplete
all my current shipping supplies before ordering. I'm not secret about this
stuff; this is the company: https://www.betterpackaging.com/

The stuff isn't cheap unfortunately but it's a cost of business for me.

in the 3Rs Reduce & Reuse come before recycle

Most of my mailers are reused mailers that I received, same for boxes and parts
baggies. Occasionally, I send the excess boxes to the recycle bin

Maybe I should sell more and buy less... but that is hard!

As we all know, getting buyers to reply to messages and/or leave feedback can
be brutal. I don't know if it's just me but my feedback response rate
fell off a cliff around early February. 83 orders and just 35 feedbacks which
drops well below the 60% rate most of us have.

I've had a few buyers with very high feedback numbers but they have left
___ZERO___ for other users. Those people are to far gone, so I decided to try
to tackle the problem with the new users.

I tend to get a lot of buyers with very low scores, so when I recently had a
few zero feedback users place orders, I decided to try something proactive and
drafted up this letter which was included in their package. Of the two I sent
it to so far, both followed the instructions. One even went back and added feedback
for other orders they placed. I sent my third one out today which is what prompted
me to go double check on the other two users.

And I know, I know, "don't worry about your feedback number more than
your feedback rating", but there are people out who see that number first
and assume that with experience comes better service and fewer hassles. It's
also just a few extra keystrokes of extra work to help improve the community
for everyone IMO.

@BrickLink: can you please put a banner on the landing page to at least warn

I'm curious though, is this being done to any/all users of BL or is this

After reading about these, I checked my spam folder and Google has flagged them

There maybe things I (we) don't care for about Google but they do an excellent

The pic will hit theaters on Oct. 11.

The 13-time Grammy winner and double Oscar nominee posted about it on social

into a movie about my life. It’s proof that anyone else can do it too… #PieceByPiece.”

I guess Deadline did not read the style guide on Legos...

Or I am misunderstanding the parts your referring to?
~Jen

As shown - you can see the slight molding difference in the bottom, but this
is insignificant and does not effect function.

The studs on the face are placed at slightly different heights.

From the images you would not guess, that other than cosmetically, the parts
are not interchangeable (in some uses).

from the newelementary article

Lining up the 2 versions, you can see that because the studs are set slightly
higher, a sliver of the underside of the new one sticks out when placed on the
edge of a plate.

and

Furthermore, the sliver is tiny but big enough to cause a collision when the
new 4304 is used for its original purpose as a stud-reverser, shown above in
Blue and Yellow. So while solving one issue, the new element causes a new issue
in return.

I'd put the asterisk as an archaic or old-fashioned feature but I would hardly
call it a hidden or obscure feature.

The asterisk as a search wildcard is used by both Microsoft (since the DOS days)
and Google in their search engines. Not an Apple user but have a hunch they use
it the same way.

Lack of user knowledge about standards does not make it hidden - rather it is
so ubiquitous that it should not need explanation.

However, it is the 2nd item in the search help...

I don't know if this is allowed...

Yesterday cart message said the store was closed for 2 hours on Dec 4. Today
the store page says it was closed for TOS on Dec 3rd

They were participants in the MOC pop up and generally have a positive feedback.

Is this store returning? Or should I just move on?

Hello everyone I have Been a bricklink seller for a month now and would like
the help of figuring shipping labels.

For the past month I been buying the shipping labels at the post office in my
area.
But I have been seeing most bricklink sellers using there own printer to make
there shipping labels.
So I need to know if it’s cheaper to print your own the shipping labels and if
yes what is the best website to print your own shipping labels?
So what are your recommendations?

Thermal printer is the way to go...

I bought a Dymo printer from a 2nd hand store 10+ years ago for $15 and since
it is not one of the 'wide' models I used the 99019 label 2-5/16"
x 7-1/2" (150 roll/$8 recently).

When PayPal switched to ShipStation the option for that style went away. With
just the typical 4x8 label. I have used this template and printed 'to fit'
which results in about 33% original size and fits 2 up on the 99019 label.

While it is smaller than usual - I have not had any of the 300+ parcels returned
or any delivered slower than expected. At 20-30 cents a label cheaper than standing
in line - which I used to do, at one point almost every day. You're spending
too much time a the PO when the clerks know you by name!

ones (I had checked by other sellers) and I just asked them if they were sure
they had the correct price? And they never answered back - just blocked me. Well
- anyway - I was never going to pay close to 22 Euros for one single technic
brick, nor a small dome for the similar price. But would you, if you were a seller
- not like to know if your prices might have been entered wrongly?

It's fair to mention (as others have said) if it appears to be a mistake,
most sellers are appreciative.

There is no alert system on Bricklink for sellers to see unusually 'high'
prices.

Mistakes athat I have seen mostly are items that are missing a decimal - $10
instead of 10 cents or similar.

This is why I always place some type of average or max cost in the wanted list
to catch those outlier prices.

Some people clearly value their bricks more than others!

On the other hand I have had a few potentially buyers ask for a price reduction
on a part that is unusual or with only a few other listings. I don't block
people and I at least consider the request... but for pricy items I have usually
already considered it at listing.

the seller results that have the most items I'm looking for.
But one information is missing along the process : when looking on what such
seller has among the items I want, I cannot see wether he puts any comment on
the condition of his items ! I'm totally blind ! So when browsing the results
with prices, I have no way to see if a part is cheap because really used or even
damaged...
The only way to see the comments is to systematically open another tab for each
seller, explore my wanted list through his store to see if there's any comments...
So totally manually...
As maybe not everyone would be interested by this information (especially if
buying New parts), that could be an option to tick, to display or not the comments
on the seller detail popup.

I'm very hesitant to list any filler bricks for just this reason. I have
asked several buyers of such lots if they were aware of the condition. They all
were unaware.

Thanks everyone. Yes, I did mean putting the bag/bin# in Remarks.

I thought using Concatenate Remarks might work, Jen, but unfortunately, I think
that the old bag numbers would still show in the Remarks even AFTER I pulled
the order and the parts are no longer in that bag. So then for future orders,
I would go looking in bags that no longer had the parts.

Mike, your suggestion is basically the system I had resigned myself to do, so
these responses helped settle that it's the right way for me to go. Appreciate
it!

  Hi everyone,

Up to now, I haven’t used the bin number feature for my inventory; I’ve just
had them in plastic bags by color. My question is, if I go to a system where
I number small bags, can I fill them sequentially where one part type is spread
across multiple bags?

Example: I upload 5 2x2 black bricks and put them in bin (bag) #1. A few months
later, I get 5 more of the same and put them in bag #6. What would happen if
a customer then ordered 7 of them from me? Would it show me all the bins #s so
I could go pick?

What I am trying to avoid is having to go back and look up/pull bags when I upload
new parts. I just want to fill the small bags as I go and save time on the front
end. Will this system work? Thanks for your thoughts.

BTW, I love looking at akro mills walls on YouTube, but cost/space limitations
mean it’s bags for me right now

Hi,
First of all, it's not worth saving time when your loading your inventory,
this is how mistakes happen. As you expand, you need to save yourself some time
at the picking stage.

You need to separate storing USED and NEW in the same area, ideally you need
to use two different rooms. You say you cannot afford wall mounted bins, that's
fine. Buy yourself some cardboard boxes which your polybags will fit into snugly.
Number each box 1, 2 etc. Then number each polybag 1,2 etc. There you have
a viable storage system! Which can then go into the REMARKS block on your listing.

Spend more time at the beginning and keep all the same colour/parts in the same
polybag, that will make it easier for you when you sell! Don't overload the
polybags with several items, this will get confusing for you.

Hope this helps.

Has anyone known people that buy really beat up Lego? If there was a rare part
that was beat up, do people still buy them?

You could sell them as 'fillerbricks' it seems there is some market for

I'm very cautious with poor condition bricks - with the automated wanted
list purchasing.

I've asked several people to confirm they actually wanted the "more yellow
than typical" used light gray bricks - all of them said they did not realize
they were not standard quality. The automated system can't differentiate.

I had a pretty big warning... here's the last lot.

https://store.bricklink.com/Andy_Bell?p=Andy_Bell&itemID=303940425#/shop

I have removed most of them, just to avoid any issues. And will probably remove
this one soon.

My brother works along the Mexican border and knows several pastors in poor neighborhoods
in Mexico. I send the scratch and dents to him to gift to kids who would never
have Lego otherwise.

I recommend NOT giving them to thrift stores - where I have seen lots for sale
that should be in the trash.

it's 10.8VAC.

Do we have a weird, not-yet-listed item here or just can't find it in the
catalog?

Any help would be appreciated.

It's squared like the 45541 but yeah, the output voltage looks different.

I'm not sure this is exactly the answer you're looking for - the part
number and picture could be added as alternate items #s

That 0.8 volts falls into the 'it doesn't matter' category - because
the NXT battery (like the 9v train controllers) have "~9-12v" molded
into the plastic. Just about any transformer/adapter in that range is acceptable.

No doubt LEGO leveraged their purchasing power and purchased the best price item
at the time.
