Can you share your prove for change requests?

For me changing request with only prove of "I saw a lot of XXX," is not a prove.
I have a lot of 1x2 brick, Am I an expert of 1x2 brick? Can I bypass prove for
requesting inventory change of every sets with 1x2 bricks?

For me you are making a black hole on inventory doing change without "physical"
prove.

The same as in the past when people did make/change inventories without prove.
Now we don't know if people did bad change request because of lak of good
parts in catalog, or because of bad knowledge of set.

As SezaR say, we can't check all sets to know if the set ever come with gray
rims. (as example).
But when people are asking to add gray rims, we can ask a prove to be sure.

In the past, Admins were more strict with change requests:

Hi INV admins,

The rules to modify extras parts have changed?
In my mind, we need to have the set in hand for extra part change can be accepted?

-Fred

https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=1562 "Adding Extra Items - Extra parts
are only added to this section when they have been confirmed in a new set. Exceptions
may be made for older sets based on convincing evidence."

In this case photos of the unboxing of a set are convincing evidence for this
older set.

Thank you for you answer.
I missed this rule, I will resubmit extra parts change

Thanks for adding the new part. But the image for part 7864 still shows the output
cover plug. It should probably be replaced with an image of a transformer without
the output cover plug.

I've added the new picture.

Are we doing the same with other parts with a cover? like remote control.
-Fred

Hi Fred,

What part are you referring to as "remote control"?

Hi SezaR
