Affects First Class mail packages and some Priority mail in certain zones and
flat rate packaging.

Thanks, but...

For those that continuously post USPS rate hikes: they are as foreseeable as
they are inevitable. Simply factor the inflationary increases that have historically
taken place, into your shipping costs. No need for such updates, they will continue
to increase, anually

American are super lucky to have USPS at it's domestic rates. Shipping in
and out of Canada has gotten insanely expensive.

  Hello there,

A rather large domestic ($50 USD) order was confirmed by a completely new buyer,
but then 30 minutes later the buyer made an order cancel request, citing the
reason under, "System Problem", with details "urgent buy, cannot wait for the
pending order". Bricklink says that buyer remorse or finding cheaper prices is
not a valid reason for canceling this order, and this is probably the case here,
but I also do not want to risk receiving negative feedback and ruin my 100% seller
praise. I reached out to the buyer yesterday with a high-priority flag, but no
response. What should I do?

Thank you.

I would not bother to try and hold the buyer to their obligation of placing the
order. That just opens the potential to many more issues. It's best to just
end the transaction as quickly and painlessly as possible.

Get the buyer to send you an order cancellation request through this link: https://www.bricklink.com/retractOrder.asp
Under reason, have them state "buyer mistake"

If 7 days since purchase passes with no response, just file it under as a NPB.

If they quickly send out a cancellation request, I wouldn't bother to even
leave feedback.

If you have to wait a week through the NPB process in which your inventory is
stuck in limbo, I'd leave a negative once the NPB is finalized through Bricklink.

Past the point of a NPB or cancellation, Bricklink will remove any retaliatory
feedback since the buyer never met their end of the obligation to start, which
is sending payment.

10123-1 (Inv) Cloud City
675 Parts, 7 Minifigures, 2003
Sets: Star Wars: Star Wars Episode 4/5/6
that unfortunately has several cracked minifigs.
I've been trying for a bit to sell it, but I really don't know how much
the imperfect minifigs devalue the set.
If you've got any feedback, I'd love to hear it.

https://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=Classicsmiley&itemID=307730878

Seems like 3k is about what a really nicely preserved copy goes for. One gently
used with some imperfections would likely be a bit under that. The only imperfections
really affecting your value are the cracked Boba arm (~$300), cracked leia torso
(~$100) and torn box.

I'd say somewhere in and around $2500 would be right in range for a fair
value.

I'm not sure if I'll be kicking myself later on over an increase in value
but given what I currently make, I'm not really sure about that either. Right
now, I really don't care enough about the set to worry about losing anything
on it so I'm going to list it in my store for $330 with free shipping and
insurance. That is, once I can muster the effort it'll take to reverse disassemble
the behemoth into numbered bags on the customer's behalf.

I personally think it's an ugly build but that's just me.

What excited me about this castle was the fact that it's the first parts-pack
that works well for moc castle building in a long time. The creator castle had
too many off colors and a lack of arches and castle-specific elements.

If I were you, I'd sell the figures/instructions/box separately for right
around $200-250 and keep the castle elements to make something new.

Ever say that? (The thing in the title)

It’s so annoying. It’s the only thing I don’t like about selling on BL, because
eventually I wish I had it back in my personal collection. It actually kind of
hurts sometimes, as many of the items I’ve sold I grew up playing with. It hurts
to watch myself sell my childhood away. Every now and then I just start kicking
myself for selling stuff. Is it just me? Or does any other seller feel the same
way? Sometimes I’m actually tempted to close up shop and keep everything to myself…
*sigh*
-Bricks of Faith (feeling sentimental and sad)

I regret selling most everything I have since prices have pretty much doubled
on everything vintage the past two years.

New buyer, bought a vintage fig. Sent out no issues when received etc.

Today I get a paypal dispute (wth??) I figure out its a brickink transaction
but have heard nothing here, no communication, nada.

Guy broke a vintage figure trying to pry off the arm, he said it must be fake
because this happens AND there's no logo inside the feet.

I respond with "that color from that era breaks easily, and I've never even
heard about a logo inside the feet (which I just checked some when I got home,
looks like some had it and some don't, which is typical for lego)

I then realize he's left me a neg with the pretty serious accusation of the
fig being fake.

He refuses to send pics of the hips and torso with the logo.

I think he broke it and is just crying fake to get a refund. I told paypal I'd
refund him on its return. The stupid part is if he had just messaged me I probably
would have just refunded it to be nice to a fellow collector.

I'm screwed on the FB right? Sigh

Crystal

I feel like negative feedback should be able to be appealed to Bricklink if the
seller offers to pays a refund and return shipping on a return or with any partial
refund offer that the buyer accepts. That already puts the seller at a loss on
the transaction at the buyer's terms.

Seeing long term, high volume members have scores tainted by new members who
might not be entirely trust worthy, reasonable or even over 18 seems very unfair.

I have perhaps one of the largest misprints ever. Raised baseplate part # 2552px3.
Not only is it missing the rock print on the top, it's been mistakenly applied
to the underside of the baseplate. Baseplate is in really good condition for
a 30 year old vintage part, no cracks or bends that are common in these, color
is good.

Priced at $400USD. It's a real one of a kind piece for a collector of misprints
or vintage parts.

A family friend gifted my son a mint condition unopened Lego System Aquasharks
Kit 6135, which they'd had in a cupboard at home for over 20 years.

Being that it looks like it was bought in a shop just yesterday I just wanted
to check if a kit like this carries some crazy value that we'd be kicking
ourselves over, if we just let him tear it open and start playing.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Set sold on another auction website for 90AUD just recently. Unopened Aquazone
is really hard to come by since no one really saved it as a collectible, but
the fanbase is a lot smaller than licensed themes. So while there are none on
the market currently, they don't bring in crazy money.

That said, if it's intended to be used as a toy, that money could buy something
10x the size at retail.

Some pictures attached of what I could find.

I sold 95% of my collection at the exact same time to purchase my first car,
including a unopened cloud city and several things of sentimental value that
have become unobtainable.

Best not to think back at the what-ifs and focus on the present and be grateful
for what we have. After all, we all could have loaded up on different assets
at the time and seen even more exponential growth of value. I also think we are
only caretakers of the things we own. The great thing about Lego is it's
longevity, so in a way it's good knowing that the Lego I own now will be
valued and enjoyed by other people in the future.

The regrets are not really overwhelming. I got close to half a million for my
collection and it took over two years. I am very thankful for Bricklink. Since
then I am selling my Simpsons collection and Wizkids Star Trek Attack Wing and
Heroclix. Not nearly as much bad regrets combined not as valuable as Lego; Lego
is really something special.
(Something funny I think, when I was have a room 27' x 26' for my lego
collection the people in the neighborhood would ask me "What is the addition
you are building, a bedroom or media room?" When I said a Lego room they
would look at me like I was crazy and change the subject." Non-Lego fanatics
just do not understand real meaning of Lego in all its different facets.)

That is insane John. Out of curiosity, what are some of the Lego items you decided
to keep out of a collection like that?

Hey, that's not fair, some people (including figs) just have larger foreheads

  Hello.
I purchased some Cloud City minifigs and after examining them I noticed some
print issues on on Boba Fett. His left arm, left leg, and torso (black lines
are too far left) are off register. The right arm printing is off center. The
rest of the figs from the group seem fine except the head on Darth Vader, the
bags under his eyes are off center. All the parts are marked Lego except: Boba
helmet is marked inside top center with a “2”, and no mark on any of the blocked
open stud heads. The seller is no Lego expert, but knew some figures from this
set were valuable. He asked a fair price, and offered a full refund if they are
not real. I have seen other Lego torsos printed off register, so it’s not unheard
of, but due to the price I would appreciate the opinions of some seasoned Lego
fans.
Thank you in advance. Lia

For early 2000s Lego, often times having a perfect print is more uncommon than
a misprint. That sort of factory error is perfectly normal for the era. If you
have any of the early 2000s EP. II clone troopers or "moustache" storm troopers,
you can see that it's hard to find two that are alike.

From everything I see, the boba fett figure and the vader head look perfectly
legitimate. The "2" inside the helmet matches the one I have from a Jabba's
Prize set I opened from new. Those jetpack helmets weren't stamped with the
Lego logo.

I hope that Lego increases the maximum amount of preorders per set. I made the
stupid decision of not ordering the Observatory and the train station for my
brother when I saw it around the 4000 unit mark at around 10:44 AM - I tried
calling my brother thrice on my cell to confirm, but he didn't picked up.
I figured thst it would still be available later today. I checked at around
noon AM, and it was sold out; the train station barely reached the maximum 10,000
units nark. With that said, I panicked and ordered it quickly. After calling
my other brother on the phone about missing out on the Observatory, I checked
Bricklink, and the train station just sold out.

Even though my brothers and I are adults, we share our Lego collection.

I have read months before that Lego increased the maximum order amount for round
1. I hope they do it again since all the sets in roind 3 seem to sell out within
the day - it took a few days for rpund 2 to sell out.

I don't think preorders will be reopened. When they were after round one,
it pushed production times back significantly. Round 3's sets are already
scheduled to ship March of 2023, which is nearly a year from now.

The designers all did a lovely job!

We've seen this trend across the Designer Program, so I think the town sets
have the most broad appeal. Certainly some of the sets that made it through to
production probably wouldn't have if there were more town sets to choose
from in their round. (For example, the Observatory was originally supposed to
be in Round 1, and based on how fast it got funded the Kākāpō wouldn't have
made the cut if it had been.)

I wonder if this will impact how LEGO handles future Designer Programs or not.

I'm honestly a tad shocked Brickwest Studios didn't make it. It seemed
like the most substantial set at $280US.
