Can we make it so they can't?

Because when a seller does it by mistake, we can not send a ship notice thru

Thanx

As a side note I wonder whether status should auto set to complete once buyer
has left feedback or certainly after both buyer and seller have left feedback

Sensible. Put it forward as a Suggestion post, I say.

Just realised that I reach 20 years in 2 months time.

I still really value this site although I am not a large user.

Thank you to all those sellers I have dealt with. No bad experiences whatever.

Early Congrats!

Congratulations to you as well Erikk!

20 years does not make me feel old, it makes me realize how much useless knowledge
I have acquired along the way.

And thanks to his mom for carrying the torch until she was able to pass it on
to Kim, an already member and fan of the site, that in turn realized it's
value to TLG: https://www.bricklink.com/feedback.asp?u=Danielsmom

Yes, thank you Daniel's mom!

I'm sure you would've come up with something, competent and gifted as
you are.

Thank you! You are very kind.

Except for the inclusion of the silly and relatively recent "Pizza & Mustard

Would be ecstatic to accept another 5 years of prognostication

For certain! My favorite aspect of LEGO!

Please add state sales tax or other taxes such as VAT to the invoice.

Cass T

This is already possible; the seller needs to have the appropriate macro tags on
their invoice templates.

Here are mine for example, they work for all TAX, VAT and GST orders.

Thank you! I looked back at several pages of messages and found that only 1 of
10 stores actually include the (tax) line on the invoice which begs me to ask...

How come the tax line is not automatically included?

Hello all! Does anyone know how long it takes for a new item to be approved to
the catalog? For instance I added a few snickered parts for the Lego Ideas Tribute
to Galileo Galilei

Set No: 40595 Name: Tribute to Galileo Galilei
*
40595-1 (Inv) Tribute to Galileo Galilei
302 Parts, 1 Minifigure, 2023
Sets: LEGO Ideas (CUUSOO)
this afternoon. How long will it take to get approved?
Thanks all!

You have to submit images before your parts can be approved.

~Jen

The only problem is that the person who applied the stickers didn’t do a very
good job.

You can use some tweezers to re-align the sticker. If there is dirt / hair or
such on the part of the sticker that was hanging over the edge, you can use any
flat object to scrape off the debris. If done gently enough, the sticky glue
should still be viable and will re-stick very well.

I do this all the time and it works very well. I use my fingernail to scrape
the debris off as I have semi-long nails.

Do misprinted pieces get catalog entries? I understand misprinted pieces happen
often however if a misprint is listed under a non misprinted item then it doesn't
really reflect the item.

If you are looking to sell a misprinted item, you can list it under the normal
item category and add to your description that the part is a misprint. You can
also use your own photo for that item.

You could also list it under custom with the item number, but fewer custom items
get hits when someone searches.

Where can I find the tracking number on orders?

Look on your order...

Order Total: EUR 12.98
Shipping: EUR 9.00
Insurance: EUR 0.00
Additional Charges 1: EUR 0.00
Additional Charges 2: EUR 0.00
Credit: EUR 0.00
Virginia Sales Tax: EUR 0.69
Grand Total: EUR 22.67
Pay Grand Total: US $24.15
Orders in this Store: 1
Tracking No: 5ivc0055172974

Some stores do not include a tracking number, and you may have to ask for it.

This information is on the top right side of every order.

This should be a no-brainer.

Please add state sales tax or other taxes such as VAT to the invoice.

It is very annoying to see:

Total: US $43.77
Shipping: US $10.80
Insurance: US $0.00
Additional Charges: US $1.00
Credit: US $0.00
Grand Total: US $57.94

$43.77
$10.80
$ 1.00
-------
$55.57

There is clearly a discrepancy between the Grand Total and what is actually showing
for charges. Since taxes are not included in those charges, the discrepancy must
be the taxes.

1) This discrepancy will likely confuse many buyers.
2) Anyone who prints the invoice for business reasons will not have a paper record
of the taxes paid.
3) In case of an audit, having a record of taxes paid on paper is beneficial.

Ideally there would be two types of Complete in the pulldown, one for "Seller
- Complete" and the other "Buyer - Complete".

I don't think that's really necessary - once it's "Shipped"
it's "seller complete".

But is it really "seller complete"?

If the buyer should receive their order and find inconsistencies with the order,
the buyer reaches out to the seller. The seller then needs to communicate with
the buyer to try to find a solution that both can agree to.
this scenario is in play, then the seller's side is NOT complete until an
agreement can be reached, and the seller honors the agreement.

IMO the only person that should have final say on whether or not an order is
complete, is the buyer! If the buyer does not mark an order as complete, then
leave it as such. The buyer has 6 months to make a claim on any order they pay
for and after 6 months the order is "purged" from the system.

If you are a seller and it bothers you that an order is just sitting there after
you have shipped it, I say "To Bad". It is the buyer's right
to make a claim for up to 6 months REGARDLESS of your store terms because Bricklink
terms supersede store terms.

Some sellers file an order once they believe the order to be complete. I do not
know how this affects the seller's ability to help a buyer if there is a
problem, but this would seem like a decent solution for a seller if having an
order on your orders list for 6 months bothers you.

In truth no order is fully complete until it has been purged from the system
after 6 months.

I vote "YES"
