When I'm buying, I read the neutral and negative feedback of sellers I'm
looking to buy from and it's often clear to me that it's the buyer being
what I consider unfair or too harsh. This neutral would not prevent me from buying
from you nor would it even give me pause. It'll fall off eventually anyway.
Don't sweat it.

In Feedback, ReclaimedComp writes:
I did reply to the feedback. It's just frustrating with all the bad sellers
you see out there that someone would bother to leave feedback on something so
minor. If didn't try to fix the problem or if I was slow on shipping, not
commucative at all, parts were in bad shape or not packed well, then yes, leave
feedback. But a neutral is as bad as a negitive when it comes to the praise
precentage.

Sure, but the buyer will have to source the part from elsewhere and pay shipping
on that order - that's why it's a good idea to refund shipping costs.
At least offer it to the buyer (they might say not to worry about it).

But, the feedback states that I didn't reply and I did.

Might be worth replying to the feedback.

Yep. And half of all people are below-average intelligence.

In other words, stupidity abounds in the world.

A lot of the listings are already for the set and not the instructions.

Can I resubmit my pickable models from 2012 or are you just going to change
the instruction entries to sets?

It doesn't appear to cause any problems to change instructions to
sets, so for existing instructions this is probably what will occur - except
possibly in cases where there are large numbers of items for sale.

Here's one changed:

Set No: Torque Name: Toys "R" Us Exclusive Build - Rod "Torque" Redline

TORQUE-1 (Inv) Toys "R" Us Exclusive Build - Rod "Torque" Redline
30 Parts, 2011

List it in under the Sticker over Assembly number and indicate in your comments
that it’s the plate only and price it accordingly.

Hi, I have a 1x2 plate that has a sticker on it, I have gone to list it and have
found that it is marked for deletion because the sticker was applied to the wrong
part.
I have got this model at home and also have the instructions for it. the sticker
has been applied to the correct part as it shows it clearly on the instructions.
Who do we contact in order to get the deletion cancelled?
Part number is 3023pb01, you can see clearly in the picture that the sticker
is applied to the 1x2 plate and not the mudguard.

Here is the thread from when it was removed from the inventory:

https://www.bricklink.com/messageThread.asp?ID=253659

The sticker now forms this assembly:

Part No: BA081pb01 Name: Stickered Assembly 4 x 2 x 1 with 'Shell' Small Pattern on Both Sides (Stickers) - Set 6634 - 2 Plate 1 x 2, 1 Mudguard 2 x 4 with Arch Studded
*
BA081pb01 Stickered Assembly 4 x 2 x 1 with 'Shell' Small Pattern on Both Sides (Stickers) - Set 6634 - 2 Plate 1 x 2, 1 Mudguard 2 x 4 with Arch Studded
Parts: Stickered Assembly

So the sticker is in the correct place but it covers more than 1 part (admittedly
only just)

The only problem is, because that is just barely over, a majority of people will
have the 1x2 plate with with the sticker in a lot rather than the entire assembly...

True but that leaves the sticker open to being damaged or getting gunk stuck
to it.

There's no reason why you can't sell it as an individual part but it
doesn't need it's own catalog entry as we are now happily accepting sticker
over assembly entries.

That's the problem though, there is a catalog entry for the part, I'm
unable to list it as it's marked for deletion. I only have one of the plates
and I also don't have the other parts to be able to list it in the sticker
over assembly entry.
So I end up with a part I can't list or I remove the sticker and list the
plate whilst binning the sticker.
This is not one from my set as that is complete and still has all the original
parts from when I bought it new.

I recently purchased a used 7662 MTT set. Instead of the 4460 reddish-brown

the set listed 4460b slopes in DBG as a counterpart. I know it is a longshot,
but could someone who purchased this set brand new check if their set's 4460
slope has hollow studs or open studs. Thank You!

Member Teos verified that inventory from a closed set, so I would trust it as
100% accurate.

That open stud could be important for construction or not (I haven’t checked),
but it’s a cheap part so if it truly matters to you, you can always buy it and
swap it out.

probably not going to be able to add these sleeves to the regular section of

Please have patience as we make some adjustments.

And yet, inventories are being changed, and the sleeve is being added as a regular
item and its component parts deleted:

Going through some old sealed CMF pouches and identifying them by feel (I'm
100% other than the DFB soccer players), and I believe I've found a Rogue
from series 16 with 2 heads and no headgear:

Set No: col16 Name: Rogue, Series 16 (Complete Set with Stand and Accessories)
*
col16-11 (Inv) Rogue, Series 16 (Complete Set with Stand and Accessories)
2 Parts, 1 Minifigure, 2016
Sets: Collectible Minifigures: Series 16 Minifigures

This is easy to find:

Part No: 4499 Name: Minifigure, Weapon Bow, Longbow with Arrow Drawn
*
4499 Minifigure, Weapon Bow, Longbow with Arrow Drawn
Parts: Minifigure, Weapon

as is this:

Part No: 4498 Name: Minifigure Arrow Quiver with 2 Arrows
*
4498 Minifigure Arrow Quiver with 2 Arrows
Parts: Minifigure, Body Wear

But I'm feeling 2 heads and no cowl.

I've felt countless CMF packets and this is the first mispack that I'm
certain I've found. Has anyone else found mis-packed CMF packets and if so,
how often?

And the ultimate question, of course, is there a market for this unopened?

Thanks!

And this part isn’t chrome silver colored ABS plastic, nor is the part chromed
on the underside:

However, there is now an inconsistency with this type of part:

Part No: 973pb1126c01 Name: Torso SW TC-14 with Blue, Red and White Wires Pattern / Chrome Silver Arms / Light Bluish Gray Hands
*
973pb1126c01 (Inv) Torso SW TC-14 with Blue, Red and White Wires Pattern / Chrome Silver Arms / Light Bluish Gray Hands
Parts: Minifigure, Torso Assembly, Decor.

The chrome is a "print" / spray, and the colour of the underlying part can be
seen where the attachment point is.

Hi,

You can use http://www.goatleg.com/ to look up the minifigs.

you can search on:

Torso
Legs
Head

If you search a little, you will find them.
Success with it.

I thought the implementation of on-site payments was supposed to help in some
way. Was it only by requiring Paypal for new sellers? We know that's no
guarantee. Wonder if there's a way for BL to work with PP so that new BL
sellers have their funds held at PP for a number of days until buyers confirm
receipt. And maybe it needs to be receipt by buyers who have a minimum of X
feedback or Y years of membership, so it's not sham buyers validating delivery.

Question is whether the burden dissuades more legit new sellers than it thwarts
shams. Considering the surplus of sellers here, I'd think it worth a try.

That was the practice a few years ago.

There are strict rules for creating the inventory of a minifigure. My belief
is that to sell the figure, it should include all correct parts; otherwise it's
not THE minifigure but a collection of similar parts. It messes up both sides
of the averages (sold and available).

But there is a contingency here that doesn't agree, often it seems because
historically accurate minifigs aren't a big part of their sales. When I
see a debate here that doesn't impact me much, such as including the historic
suggested retail list price of a set as they do on Brickset, I stay out of it,
even though I don't agree with the majority who don't want that info
easily available on BL.

I believe that sellers who specialize in used minifigs as well as buyers of older
figures detest the games played by sellers who sell parts under minifig listings
or who sell incomplete minifigures under the minifigure listing. If you want
to sell the figure as described, finish it properly, and if you don't want
the hassle, then part it out.

And here's a similar open suggestion from 2010:

http://www.bricklink.com/messageThread.asp?ID=105117&nID=498385

In Suggestions, calebfishn writes:
A minifig is not a set.

will be reported and removed.

The odd thing to me about the Ghostbusters minifigs is the newness of the set.
I understand that old castle and Star Wars figs were inventoried long ago and
those exceptions have been inherited by the current Admins, but why allow the
Ghostbuster minifigs without at least the neck bracket (as was done with the
GB Firehouse figs) to be added to begin with and assuming that was done by mistake,
not then marked for deletion? And then why perpetuate that distinction for a
2nd set?

Is this purely a seller accommodation? Might have made more sense and benefited
the catalog more overall to have just added a complete/incomplete flag to minifigs.

Minifig No: gb001 Name: Dr. Egon Spengler - Plain Arms, Proton Pack
*

In Inventories Requests, WoutR writes:
  In Inventories Requests, viejos writes:

Personally, I would prefer to see the version without the backpack marked for
deletion, but as long as that fig is still in good standing in the catalog, it
should be retained in the inventory. There are precedents for this, btw, for
example the Ghostbusters figs:

Set No: 21108 Name: Ghostbusters Ecto-1
*
21108-1 (Inv) Ghostbusters Ecto-1
440 Parts, 4 Minifigures, 2014
Sets: LEGO Ideas (CUUSOO): Ghostbusters
Both versions are listed in the inventory, with the most complete figs listed
in the Regular section. This is likely the pattern we will see in the future
if the two-tiered solution continues to be used.

Russell

Could I ask the Inventory Admins to reconsider this? The more I think about it,
the more this feels like a wrong use of the counterpart feature. We are introducing/enforcing
a wrong precedent here.

I believe the pattern chosen for the Cas122 figure should be the guideline, and
not the pattern chosen for the Ghostbuster figures.

Other than the buyer when the items sell before they receive the quote.

Quotes are great when they're sent quickly and the items are still available.

I'd rather have clearly displayed fees so I can decide, when the
part is available, if I want to make the purchase. The universal
chart seems like a faster and fairer method than the current
hodgepodge of terms and sellers who don't give quotes.

Then all buyers and sellers can quickly and easily asses true
pricing for their purchases in real time. Seems better than
waiting for quotes, when available, and risking that the items
sell in the interim.

In Suggestions, VITreasures writes:
Why don't you suggest a quote? That way you know all the fees and can agree
to the terms of the sale, or if you don't agree, you walk away and no one
is disappointed.

In Suggestions, Proprietor writes:
BL should create a uniform fee disclosure template that will appear on each seller's
Store Terms page. It should be the same format for every store, and once sellers
enter the various fees into their store settings the chart would automatically
populate and appear on the seller's page.

ONLY fees that are clearly disclosed on the chart could be included in an invoice,
and a buyer would have the right to cancel any order when invoiced with undisclosed
fees, without fear of receiving negative feedback. Same for sellers who cancel
orders when the buyer cancels over fees that were validly charged.

Here's an idea of what a chart COULD look like; anything clear and uniform
works, not unlike the fee disclosure information that must be included with credit
card and home mortgage offers in the US:
