Could this be some type of scam?
Should I cancel the order?
Other then insurance, what if anything can I do to protect not losing $400
|
If this would happen to me, all alarmbells would go off. Ofcourse is not necessarily
a scam, but it sounds at least a little suspicious.
Trackable AND insured shipping should be highly recommended, not only in this
case but because of the value of the order.
When I was in your position, I would, in this case, only accept a non-returnable
form of payment if that's possible (such as a bank transfer).

case here) and BOTH not allow them to be listed.

Current BL code is of some age, but being a software developer (maintenance on
"old" systems) for long time, I would suggest this simple solution: change
the text "Marked for deletion" into "Catalogue item only",
or
something like that. The checkmark for "Marked for deletion" then
still exists with the same functionality, only the message to the user different.

| This is about the Duplo Little Forest Friends.
I have in front of me a Belgian set 2833, which contains two storybooks (one
in Dutch, one in French) and a Dutch set 2831 with one storybook in Dutch.
The inventory only shows the English book.
All books have different item numbers on the back of the cover, but otherwise
(besides the language), they are identical.
How to deal with this in the catalogue?
I see some options:
1. Change the item number of the book into an "independent" number, and
when listing a set the language has to be added in the desciption of the set.
2. Add all different versions to the catalog using there Lego item numbers, and
create an alternate entry for each book.
What seems to be the best way to do?

My own set, of which I'm 98% sure that it's still complete, only has 4 of these.
Looking closesly at all the pictures on front AND back of the box, you will see that most pictures only show 3 of these, and one (center upper picture on back) may show four. Never 6!

| I fully understand.
I too am going to stop selling internationally as new VAT rules are too complicated
for small (private) sellers like me.
I don't count myself to a business-seller, but just a private person selling
his personal collection, along with some loose parts.
So sorry to all of you international buyers: at least for the rest of this year
I won't sell abroad.

Regularly I buy larger or smaller piles of Lego to sort them out, rebuild or
resell. While sorting, I often find small non-Lego parts, many of which seem
to be Playmobil.
Does anyone know if there's a Playmobil marketplace, similar to Bricklink?
As I don't like to throw these parts away.

Using the Block Macro Tag works too. I've tested it,
live in Holland myself, and US sales tax shows on US invoices but not on e.g.
UK invoices.
Macro tag for Final Total would be highly appreciated.

When I got this set, back in the seventies. this was the first one (of which I can remember) to have a 2-slot tow ball socket. This set was never mixed up with other sets.
