Hello, I had my bricklink account hacked, my password and email address stolen!
How can I recover my account, I have sent numerous messages to bricklink but
I have not received any responses. I have orders in progress, and a lot of purchases
to manage, your help would be very valuable to me, at least having someone to
help me! THANKS

  Sent you a PM message.

Sylvain

Have been in contact with this person (a kind and faithful buyer at our Shop,
thanks!)

It appears BL password was unique, hard to guess or brute force, and he didn't
click on any e-mail asking to log in (like "bricklinks.org" or such).

Great people!

So, my guess for now is that his e-mail has been compromised one way or
the other.

Then hackers read the e-mails, probably asked for a new password on BrickLink
et voila, the shop is compromised. I couldn't find his shop neither opened
or closed. Neither his old account appears. Maybe BrickLink already worked on
this...

Let him contact all his Buyers with open orders (hopefull he has some mailadresses)
so thay dont pay to someone else (the hackers)
Maybe his buyers get some information about the hackers and maybe if the hackers
changed the shopname they now what is the new name.

  Hello,

I have received an order from Norway (I'm based in Belgium). This is only
my 3rd sale on bricklink and the first one that would go outside the EU.

I was looking for what custom forms to fill in (it seems CN22 is fine, package
should be less than 1 KG) and I got confused at the "Incoterms". I think
that I would be shipping this with Bpost, our national postal company. Do I use
the code "DDP" then?

Thanks for any help you're able to give me .

Silas

Succes

I cannot check what the seller has done until I have the package. And as a private

Any advice welcome, thanks.

Maybe this is the solution:
You told the seller to add a VAT invoice.
Maybe it would have been better to ask for "The" VAT invoice.
So just ask your seller to download the Invoice on top of his order page. (see
example)
Let him send it electronicaly to you, you can send it to the customs.

I hope this helps.
Please let us know if this is good

Just checked my invoice, in the itemisation total the VAT is not even mentioned.
This is poor from Bricklink. The total doesnt even make sense without listing
the VAT.

Is the VAT mentioned on YOUR order page?
If not then BL did not take your VAT

The 15 max character for a BL Password is a botlleneck if you want longer passwords
or passphrases.

As Astute writes: if you reset your password only the first 15 characters are
stored in Bricklink without your knwowledge. So if you put in your new password
in full length it is not accepted
It is a puzzle then to find the 15 max.

It would be fine if this could be solved

When I look for the track sleeper (Part 767), it is sold as dark gray. Unfortunately
the color is not dark gray as shown in the picture on the left. I would call
it brownish gray.
I have some bricks and plates in this color and am looking for matching stones.
So what color should I choose to find brownish gray parts?

Left = Dark Gray
Right = Dark Bluish Gray (DBG)

Drak gray is the old DBG.
So new lego (in the shops)is always DBG

I made a purchase from a seller for 240$ USD. He sends me a message saying PayPal
took 20 dollars as a small business fee and that another 20 dollars was taken
for some kind of insurance that he could not specify. Now the seller is asking
that I send 20 dollars to cover the shipping because PayPal took the money.

My question is shouldn’t that have been listed in additional fees on the order
page? OR shouldn’t his store be quote orders only so he can calculate how much
money he will need before accepting the order? Am I in the wrong here? I’m just
not comfortable sending over more money for something that was not previously
discussed prior to purchase. What can I do about this?

If the order was payed with Instant Checkout it has to be included.
If the order was with Manual Invoice then you have to read the Terms very well.
It could be stated there.

Good day to you reader. I post this in a request for help from the community
to help me with a case I've been battling with a seller and the situation
I am currently in.

I will try to present my case shortly:

I made and order from bricklink with a seller, for which later I did a transaction.
The transaction did not reach the seller immediately and the seller decided to
issue me a NPB and further to that, accused me for committing fraud. I reached
to my bank and asked if something is wrong with the transaction, for which my
bank in continuous interaction that the transaction indeed left later than expected,
but that the sellers bank returned it.

The problem is, that the seller decided to leave me a negative feedback
with vulgar and false information in my profile, furthermore.. The seller
blocked me to stop any communication on the platform, for me to even ask for
it's removal. I was instantly in touch with support team, but they only said
that there is a different tool for feedback removal request, even tho I send
them all the receipts and chat messages from my bank to prove my case.

As soon as support team told me that there is a different page for feedback removal,
I filed the request, but my request was denied, without any further information
or communication bridging back to me.

This case is very unfortunate for me as a new user on the platform and I have
had zero problems with my other transactions. I kindly ask anyone who knows how
can I resolve this case to help me.

Cheers and warm regards.

If the payment is returned to you, you have to make the payment again until it
has arrived at the seller.
Problem solved:
At that moment Seller can remove the NPB and ship the order. As soon the package
arrives you can give positive feedback.

  Hi,

as a first timer I thought I'd give it a try and I ordered a lego part to
a local seller;

I received an email of confirmation, but since then, nothing

Usually one gets mail like "your order is getting prepared"", "getting
shipped"...

I contacted the seller, nothing

I donit know what to think, maybe it's the holiday, so

what can I do about this situation apart from waiting ?

thanks

Hi Phil,

Always read the stores Feedback and in your case you know more.
I'm guessing it will take longer than normal.

If in Hurry just order it elsewhere.

  Hi All,

I had a buyer in France purchase one thing. I had to send an invoice, which
I did. Shipping was high because shipping from the US to France is high.

For 7 days I did not hear anything from the buyer. Today, I filed an NPB. Suddenly
after an entire week the buyer responds and asks to cancel and says he found
the part elsewhere.

I'm looking for opinions on whether I should cancel or follow through on
the NPB.

Thanks

Consider cancel.

When i get a small order with high shipping costs i give the buyer the choice
to cancel right away.

If you want to open your shop the procedure is to have some feedback.
Not the feedback is the purpose but the fact that there have been some real transactions
so everybody can see you are a serious bricklink user.

This is to reduce scammers who open shops and get some money without shipping,
all anonymous.
With the feedback procedure there is some sort of social control from other BL-users
if a buyer is trustworthy to start a shop or not.

So just have some BL transactions.
Sort out your inventory for a few extra days and hope for some positive feedback.
After that you open your shop.

This is another copy of a set I just parted out last month and I know I didn't

Does BL permit/require sellers to denote the exact part ID (regular or alternate
item #) when they sell?

So if I see part 12345 for sale in a store, can I assume they are not providing
an alternate part 54321? (assuming their policy indicates nothing)

Or does BL have sellers list all variants under the same part ID? Hence obfuscating
the actual part you might be receiving?

  Hi,
I ordered recently 900 items, for a total of 16.62€. The seller was applying
a packing fee of 2.5€, plus 0.25€ per lot. Given that my order including 74 different
types of items (= lots), I was expecting a total invoice of 16.62 + 2.5 + 74*0.25
= 37.62€. I received an invoice of 160.87€, because the seller split the 74 lots
in 538 ! For example, I ordered 100 bricks 1*2 white, all used, and the seller
considered them as 100 different lots!
He sent me a NPB, asking me to accept a penalty. I argued that it was not fair,
and asked him to simply cancel the order. I wanted to do it myself by selecting
the option "mutual agreement", and asked him if he agreed. But he waited
for several days to answer me, until the point this possibility (cancel the order)
was not accessible to me anymore. Now he is arguing that he can't cancel
the order, because it is written in his terms and conditions that he never cancels
orders.
I find the whole process (splitting lots to artificially increase fees, not answering
me until the deadline for cancelling ordered is passed, accusing me of not respectiung
his terms and conditions, etc...) totally unfair and dishonest. What could I
do? Except accepting a penalty, I cannot find any other option on the website
(sorry, I'm new on Bricklink).
Thanks in advance for your help.
Nico

Welcome to BrickLink! I'm sorry that one of your first experiences on this
site was so negative. BrickLink does its best to maintain a fair marketplace,
but that does not stop members from attempting to take advantage of others,
particularly those who are new to the site.

The store in question is Mr Bean Marketplace: https://store.bricklink.com/burt0

They have 99.59% praise on 569 orders, so judging by their feedback, it appears
that most of their buyers are satisfied with their purchases. They do have one
neutral feedback from a few years ago complaining about slow shipping, but reading
through their recent feedback, I see no mention of excessive fees anywhere.

However, their feedback left for others tells a different story. They appear
to have a lot of non-paying buyers, a couple of whom responded to the negative
feedback left for them with complaints about excessive fees. Perhaps, like Nico,
these buyers were simply caught off guard by the lot fees and did not wish to
pay for their order after invoicing, resulting in negative feedback and an NPB.

The seller does have a lightning bolt icon next to their store name, suggesting
that they offer instant checkout. However, when I try to place an order in their
store, I am only offered manual invoice options. I am not sure what buyers in
France or Europe see when they check out.

Browsing through their store inventory, it does appear that this seller has an
abusive pricing structure. For example, consider the following part:

Part No: 3004 Name: Brick 1 x 2
*
3004 Brick 1 x 2
Parts: Brick {White}

The seller has 43 used listings for this part, each with a quantity of 1. Most
of them are priced at EUR 0.01. However, because of the EUR 0.25 lot fee,
the effective price per part is actually EUR 0.26.

While there are some legitimate reasons that a seller may want to list multiple
lots for the same item, that does not appear to be the case here.

While this does seem unethical, I could not find anything in the Terms of Service
that specifically prohibits this kind of behavior.

It seems like you have done all of the right things, such as contacting the help
desk, posting in the discussion forum, and responding to the NPB. Hopefully,
the BrickLink administrators will take care of this soon.

Play well.

Such a shop is a shame for Bricklink.

See the feedback: A lot of leavers who never came back to BL to buy elsewhere
Very bad for all user of Bricklink.

Bricklink do something about this sort of practice.
