NOK, Nokia Oyj shares?

Okay, I get it, Norwegian Krone Euro conversions have been somewhat wonky for
reasons outside the sphere of influence of BL and third party, and beyond whatever
site issue there might also be.

The conversion rates are just fine. Both listings are correctly converted. To
me this looks like a sorting issue in BL.

Fair enough, no problem - I cancelled the order.

Today had a message from the "Buyer" to say I had sent them a wrong part

Good try - but no cigar

Have to be alert in this game !!

Mine weighs 2.6 kg. Wondering if they took out the minifigs and added counterweights
or something? Seals look fine to me.

A sealed Tantive 4 (2019) weighs 2.52kg, how did you arrive at 2.4kg? Maybe your
scale is not the accurate enough?

to me, as it is one of the most populous countries in the world, with over 200

countries to potentially ship to?

Thanks in advance

Maybe list the sets individually and add a text to the description 'X% discount

I received used Lepin or other off-brand pieces. One stud on each piece is indented
where the Lego logo would go.

These people should not be allowed to operate on here. Go sell that junk on
fleabay.

Giving the seller a negative feedback will help other buyers to avoid this seller.

Let me refrase; how do I complete an older set (391-1) to original state? By
original I mean the parts that were in the box in 1975.

Well, you buy a 391-1 (complete or not), otherwise you can’t be sure that whatever
part you get came in a 391-1 box, or even could have come in a 391-1 box.

I think that’s what Russell tried to say the other day.

Set 391 was inventoried in 2003, which can only be done when using a sealed set
(if I'm correctly understanding the inventory rules). So this information
was available, but has now partly been lost (merged). How do I find the original
part list back?

I'm asking for date relevant parts, like 'frosted' in this case.

I'm not sure which post from Russell you refer to, I might have missed that
one.

Yes it will. It was possible before bricklink, it has been possible throughout

Serious question: how? using 391-1 as example.

You find the bits that you think should be in your set, and you build the set.

Oh yes, and sellers rule, right?
Just because many of them are too lazy/unwilling to determine their parts accurately,
the standards have to be lowered.

This makes things easier for buyers too. It is not sellers pushing through changes
because they are lazy.

I'm quite certain Daniel Jezek is turning in his grave having to witness
what (t)his Bricklink is turning into...

Why are you certain of this? Did you know him and his plans for the site?

I didn't know him, but I imagine he would be proud of what bricklink has
become.

  Hi everyone,
I ordered a sealed set and minifigures that were listed as new from a newly opened
store, the whole thing came in a paper bag in the mail. The set luckily survived.
Unfortunately, the figures are not new, they are used (torsos had traces of arm
movement, etc.). 4 out of 5 figures had cracks in the arm, one figure had a scratch
on the back.
I textet him to ask why he sold them as new and what he suggested to fix this
problem.
The reply was very rude: The figures were in good condition before shipping,
it is not his problem if the post office broke the figures.

In his shop the figures are still listed as new (now with description:
No cracks or scratches. Good condition).
I have written to him again and tryed to find a solution, but it looks difficult.
He just wrote: you can change the arms, they are not printed and not expensive
and he told me that he sold the figures cheap.

But thats not the problem, they are still not new

My question now:
I never wanted or needed to write someone a neutral or negative feedback,
but this one really deserves one. However, I am afraid that I will get a negative
feedback from him in revenge. I am still at 100% positive feedback, my store
has almost 1000 orders. I want to keep it that way, and i don't mean the
almost 1000 orders .
Is it possible to get revenge Feedback deleted?

Thanks for your help

Consider putting the seller on your shop stoplist.

Knowing “what you need” is based on available information, which has now been
condensed for no good reason. The only reason I know that a set has a specific
variant is because of the work put in by catalog contributors. People aren’t
going to care anymore because the distinction isn’t being explicitly made anymore.

And, in that case, the distinction is no longer important as any of the merged
variants will do. That is no different to other parts where aleady known variations
are not important enough to have a catalogued variant for each.

What is the functional (or visual) difference between a black 3001, 3001old and
3001special? The market for 3001old and 3001special is tiny compared to regular
3001. The vast mayority of buyers just want the 3001. Should they be merged?

Let me guess; you only sell new parts. Like so many vocal supports of the merge
who will surely reply with their "I'm bigger so I know what's best
for everybody" argument.

This does not bother you because your buyers only want new parts and you believe
this might even help you sell more.

In General, infinibrix writes:
I hope the admins are taking note only there are people here like myself that
have always followed the rules despite wanting and being denied a second account
for legitimate reasons (separate business from personal) and yet there are clearly
members here using second accounts to strengthen the voice of their own opinion
in the forum?

How is it possible that so many replies against the variant merge are from people
with barely any feedback yet they still appear to have the highest/most complex
level of understanding when it comes to variants?
Yes perhaps one or two of these never buy or sell and only use Bricklink as a
database reference in which case are they the best voices to be listening to
anyway given they don’t actually contribute to the core element of the site which
is to buy and sell Lego!
But let’s be honest having an opinion is one thing but using a second account
to voice that same opinion again is unhelpful spamming and so I hope admins will
investigate and merge these accounts!

Ultimately as far as peoples opinions go in general I understand the arguments
on both sides and to a degree sympathies but generally a lot of these arguments
seem to be along the lines that the merge is a bad idea because people will no
longer be able to easily distinguish the correct variant? Yet this appears to
be the exact intention, since Bricklink has already openly stated that they do
not particularly want members of its community (New or Old) being overly bogged
down and concerned with these variants. They essentially want them dismissed/forgotten
about! (Pretty much their own words)
With this in mind it really isn’t in Bricklinks best interest to put in place
any specific solution that only further prevents them breaking away from what
they are trying to break away from? Therefore in the end it can only be for individual
members who care about this stuff to either use the comments field or ask the
question!
The way I see it, this change is probably going to hinder maybe 1% of the community
whilst making things smoother and more efficient for 99% of the community. It’s
a no brainer from Bricklinks perspective!
