I did not get a payment notification sent to my personal email, but Bricklink
did update the order status and I had to log into PayPal to confirm I actually
did receive payment.

Hi Chris!
Thank you for being so diligent about checking for new part variants. Fortunately,
we already knew about this one and have been discussing it, so we should have
a ruling shortly.
For your information (and anyone else's who happens to read this thread),
the differences are in the very significant redesign of the underside of the
part (see image).
Cheers,

| Hello everyone,
I've recently started adding inventory to my shop, thought Id start small
and went with the brick's category. All my brick's are used. Very soon
I realized that I cant correctly identify all the color's.
I've taken a photo of the 27 different color block's that I have, and
tried to use https://www.bricklink.com/catalogColors.asp as a guide. The photo
doesn't seem to catch the true color of the brick, I've made my guess,
but some I still find very confusing. What makes it more difficult is that some
of the brick's I have 1 - 3 pc's at the moment, so I cant really compare
if they're faded somehow, although they're in good condition.
Anyways here's the photo, after doing this, I do realize it's impossible
for someone to accurately tell me what color brick I have, but I guess I'm
not the first one with this problem, so any suggestion's and overall help
are appreciated.
P.S left side is no flash, right side with flash.

In my opinion, here are two options:
1. Buy a very new set with a lot of different colors so you can see for yourself
by referring to that set's inventory. Examples include sets 11035 and 11036
shown below. It's definitely some money up front but at least you will have
a known comparison for most of the colors.
2. If you have more special pieces (not just 2 x 4 bricks), you can find the
part in the catalog, then see what colors officially came in sets by reviewing
the "known colors" in the price guide. Sometimes a part only came in
a couple easily identifiable colors: for example only in dark orange and tan
but not any other color, so you know you have a dark orange brick.
Best of luck, - Chris

These little guys are built alongside the Minifigs, so I think that they should
count as such in the Catalog.

Yeah... I am thinking the same. I suppose the worst that could happen is that
my catalog submissions could be rejected.

A part, or a space exploration minifig, such as cty1447?

11 orders to Arkansas, my hold out state was North Dakota, currently at 2 orders.

| Hello,
I'm in the middle of doing the inventory for set 21254 The Turtle Beach House.
The side of the box identifies the large turtle as a named entity but does not
show/name the three baby turtles (built on page 12 of the instructions).
Set 30432 has all the parts for the large turtle but does not have the turtle
as a counterpart assembly.
Should mineturtle01 be added to both of these inventories?
Should I submit a counterpart assembly for the baby turtle (quantity 3)?
Thanks, - Chris

sadly it's common these days. when I buy used parts on bricklink i "expect"
about 30% of the parts to be unusable do to excessive damage. I've least
favourited dozens of stores and don't even bother messaging sellers now when
I get damaged stuff
|
Apathy never makes changes. Perhaps there is a veteran builder, who becomes a
seller, but doesn't quite yet understand the very particular nature of many
buyers on Bricklink. Maybe the seller needs a message explaining any potential
neutral / negative feedback and why you're dissatisfied.
I can think of several fragile pieces that often get damaged, and without having
a frame of reference, might appear "normal" to a seller who is new to
Bricklink.
I thought I remembered long ago posts regarding this topic often suggested that
without feedback, people won't know. Communication is key, regardless if
you leave feedback.
And in the distant future, wouldn't it be great is Bricklink made "how
to" videos explaining things like this?

Getting ready to finalize the inventory for Minecraft set 21247 and forgot to
ask about this possible counterpart shown as an assembly on page 33 of the instructions.
To be honest, I'm not sure what this is. If this should be a counterpart,
please advise what name / part number I should use. I cannot help but imagine
this as a water chicken, but maybe it is just a piece of Axolotl art.
Thank you,

|
Glad to hear I'm not the only one noticing this trend. Feedback numbers
have dropped off dramatically for me in the last couple years. People don't
even mark the orders as "Received" or "Completed" in most cases.
I have never chased feedback as you mention. But I did move away from waiting
for someone else to post it first. I'm happy to go first so long as you
change the order status to Received or Completed. And for Zero feedback Buyers,
I post as soon as their payment is made, in order to help out the newcomers or
those looking to sell on the site.
As silly as it may sound, feedback is important to me. I enjoy knowing that
someone is happy with the product and service provided. And it helps motivate
me to continue working hard and satisfying the community. I've been inching
towards the 5k milestone but at a snail's pace.
|
I pretty much feel the same on everything you said. For me, I want to get to
2500 feedback so I can finally ditch the purple brick.
The two neutrals I received are a major bummer because i don't think I could
have done anything differently to prevent them, but i did state my case.
For buying, neutrals or negatives hinting at nefarious deeds are a huge warning,
as are cumulative negative totals over 1%.

| Hello,
I've inventoried some new sets in 2023 and seem to be finding more and more
Part Color Codes (PCC's) that don't show up in the catalog. Occasionally
I feel bold and state the PCC's in the inventory comments during submission,
but usually I am too lazy.
Is manually adding a PCC number into the catalog solely an Administrator function,
or can anyone submit a PCC? If so to the latter, where can I do this?
Thanks, - Chris

I'm inventorying set 21177 and have a different chicken. Instead of the yellow

I just wanted to confirm that I should submit a new chicken entry into the catalog
for the different 4073 variant. The body bb0816pb01 is identical. It would be
possible for Lego to add other different colored round plates on the bottom of
the chickens, creating many more entries.

| Hi,
I'm in the middle of doing the inventory for set 42105 Catamaran. The sails
and instructions front page both contain the word "Bouy", but this is a misspelling
in American English (should be "Buoy"). I don't know if this is an outright
misspelling in any language.
Just figured I'd point this out in case someone questions it later. Sails
are currently pending catalog approval.
