It's just more race baiting from "tolerant" people. Their aren't
races anyways. Just people groups. I have never raised my kids to look at someone
as marginalized or oppressed as all of these "DEI" folks. Just stoking
more anger with people and then saying you are showing them anger...... just
sad to live like this each day.

come on..lego is just a toy to create a fantasy world...
lets keep out race/idiology and politics out...this is already a problem in the
real world

and skin colour?...I think there are more then 1000 different skin tones
the only way then would be PURPLE legofigures...then everybody will be pleased

lets hope no aliens land with purple skin colour...or we have this problem again

In LEGO products, jadonut writes:
I wanted to post here to see how many other LEGO fans have felt similar frustration
and confusion about LEGO's own cultural stance to printing yellow only minifigures
for their non-IP sets (ICONS, City, Winter sets etc, etc).

For those of you who are already on-board with this, I'll link a great article
I found that excellently argues this point and cites its sources:

https://womensbrickinitiative.com/diverse-lego-minifigure-petition/

For those fans who haven't put much thought into this or are opposed to diversifying
the LEGO minifigure population, I'd urge you to read the above article. It's
well-written and researched, and says everything that needs to be said on this
topic.

In short, I don't at all agree with LEGO's staunch position on "yellow"
washing its minifigs that don't represent a certain IP. Their argument (as
quoted in the above article) that yellow is "race-neutral" is insulting,
as only light-skinned people can truly relate to that tone of color.

I'm personally interested in buying my first modular sets, but I also know
that I will have to spend money to swap out the heads, arms and some torsos to
make it representative of the world I live in, and the people I know.

I strongly believe that LEGO needs to do better, swallow its pride and discontinue
yellow minifigures. They're boring and lazy anyway.

I love LEGO and will be a lifelong fan. I just wish the brand matured with the
times quicker, and embraced cultural diversity.

I like playing SNES Zelda & Mario maybe annually since they are my favorites.
I play with my 17 and 13 year old.

We grew up with a lot of board games. Monopoly is probably top 3. We like playing
Catan as well.

I thought about getting 2K Drive but 2K being 2K, it's filled with microtransactions.
I also thought about Final Fantasy XVI, but I don't like the M rating. XV
was just fine for me.

Impressive.

Maybe that perfection would be better spent on customer service seeing your 98.33%
positive feedback in the last 6 months.

Curious why you see the need to hijack this thread and dump on me. 100% inappropriate
response in my opinion. MY CS is fine, some customers are impossible to please.

Wow. I haven't seen that before. I have a horse from early 80's that
my kids still play with, and it's strong and good as ever. They had a lot
of issues with brown in that time period.

Cannot part with that. Took me awhile to find it. I did give away my Seven
of Nine and Homer. My collection room was looking a bit crowded. Bean adds class
to any room. My wife would not let me put it on the front door. She has this
thing about acting grown-up. So I put dirty smelly socks in her pillow and she
could not figure out where the bad smell was coming from. (That will teach her,
but it didn't.)

Any of those sets I acquire or build I never push the torsos and legs together
completely and are very delicate building or placing any brown plates or tiles.

So what sort of age is that, the set I was building is around 2009 so the plates
are more than likely that age as they were in the bulk lot I bought, what surprised
me was the tile breaking whilst in transit, I would expect that to be a bit newer.

I thinks that’s about when lord of the rings and pirates of the Caribbean sets
were out
Yah they can break super easy from the era. I just sold some legs from a potc
minifigure that were all good on my end but as soon as the customer moved the
legs it got destroyed so that can be very fragile

try and separate them from other parts.
I had test built a set that was going to be listed on here, built it fine and
as I started to dismantle it I had parts of the edge of a 2x4 plate break off
and a 2x12 plate shatter into 4 pieces.
I had also ordered some 1x8 tiles and as they ended up loose in the box (the
bag had split) one of them was in 2 pieces by the time it arrived!

Any ideas as to why it seems to just be the Dark Red that is this bad or does
anybody know of any other colours to be extra careful with?

Reddish brown and dark red are the biggest offenders but some other colours like
blue also have had that issue during that lotr/potc era

I'm sure the plastic and fluctuation of temps are the main causes for the
sealed sets. My nephew had a millennium falcon 4504 out in their detached garage
fully sealed, and we opened it to find a lot of the greys faded or changed tones
from the hot-cold spikes through the years.

In General, kidsncritters writes:
So a few years back I collected the parts to build the Statue of Liberty Pedestal
MOC. It was on display for some time in a case (I built myself) but was never
in direct sunlight. I broke down the pedestal/statue and it has been in storage
for about a year or so. I decided this month to rebuild the statue and the pedestal.
When I pulled the pedestal out of storage, various parts were yellowing; some
quite badly. There's no reason or pattern to the yellowing parts, they are
just in various locations on the build.

I know the yellowing issue has been discussed here before.
Short of individually sorting through thousands of pieces on this MOC; what other
options are available? Can the yellowing be reversed on LBG parts?

Thanks for reading!

I work in a North Carolina post office, and our pick-ups are approx 6:00am 1:30pm
and 5:30pm. Anything after sits until the next morning when the initial delivery
is made at 6am again. Times vary between post offices, but I would say 6pm pick-up
would be the latest for most. We strive to get every piece out by the last pick-up....
at our place at least.

In Shipping, BrickScope writes:
So...I have a real silly question. Our local post office picks up mail several
times a day from a local business where we drop off our mail. Does it matter
whether we make the morning or afternoon pick up? In other words, do you know
whether the post office sends out all daily collected mail one time in the evening
or whether the early pick up makes a difference? Sometimes I feel like Tom Hanks
in the opening scene of Castaway where we are trying to get one more package
on the plane as the seconds count down.

I am in search of a copy of Ninjago Skybound Season 6 on DVD. I don't see
it in the catalog, but was wondering if someone might have a copy. I would be
willing to do a trade in my store or if someone could offer it for sale in their
store. All transactions would be properly channeled through the site. Any info
would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hopefully folks can see the minifigure, but here are some details: floppy black
witch hat with orange hair, smirking female yellow head, potion bottle, dark
purple hands, and black torso and new skirt/slope with printed purple and silver
star and web patterns.

Is that actually available by some means?

I tried browsing around both on the Shop at Home pages and here, but was unsuccessful.
My best guess is that it relates to some sort of pick a brick thing or maybe
must be performed at a an actual Lego Store. Not sure...

TIA,

Richard

Part of my work area and shelves. Can't show it all since it looks like a
bomb went off. Generally organized, but not as well as I would like.

In Selling, popsicle writes:
From a once high-volume store with large storage and work areas, this is our
entire Lego work space of today, and I like it! Though we still have a few thousand
new minifigures, I remind myself, that number was once higher by a factor of
many, plus the parts and sets.

I've come to appreciate and really enjoy the current smaller, well-organized
Lego space within our home. That which only our selloff over the last few years
has afforded us. Another reason to be thankful for taking that decision.

What’s the saying “Size doesn’t matter?” Not trying to burst any bubbles, but
it actually does though not nearly as much as how it’s used, matters. Our current
Lego work-space size, is “used” well and today that matters most to me

If you’ve a mind to, please share pics of your Lego play and/or work spaces
