Please make changes to the following inventory:

Set No: 6951 Name: Robot Command Center
*
6951-1 (Inv) Robot Command Center
267 Parts, 3 Minifigures, 1984
Sets: Space: Classic Space

* Add 4 Part 4081b Blue Plate, Modified 1 x 1 with Light Attachment - Thick Ring (Alternate) (match ID 1)
* Add 4 Part 4085b Blue Plate, Modified 1 x 1 with U Clip Thin (Vertical Grip) (Alternate) (match ID 1)
* Add 2 Part 4081b Light Gray Plate, Modified 1 x 1 with Light Attachment - Thick Ring (Alternate) (match ID 1)

Comments from Submitter:
Verified from complete set packaged separately from my childhood. Received as a gift December 1986 (Canada). It is possible given the timing this was a later run of the set, explaining the thick ring and thin u-clips instead of thin o-clips. However, I also have two sets I purchased in adulthood that also followed the same more modern clip types as well, but was unable to verify confidently that this was a true variant until I retrieved my personal original from my parents' home.

Please make changes to the following inventory:

Set No: 6842 Name: Shuttle Craft
*
6842-1 (Inv) Shuttle Craft
41 Parts, 1 Minifigure, 1981
Sets: Space: Classic Space

* Add 2 Part 3040 White Slope 45 2 x 1 (Alternate) (match ID 3)

Comments from Submitter:
As per my recent submission re: 3943b, I also note that in my two sets the 45 2x1 slopes have bottom tubes (3040). Again, with the last known use of 3040a being 1981, and the earliest use of 3040 being 1977, it makes sense that later production runs of 6842 which had low attachment modified plates and axle hole cones would also have 3040.

Comments from Submitter:
I had a pair of these since childhood and recently disassembled and bagged them for storage. Both had the axle hole version of the large cones, which is corroborated in terms of timeline by the already confirmed existence in 6890 and 6929. Both sets also contained 3839b, which implies they were from a later production run.

Please make changes to the following inventory:

Set No: 6876  Name: Alienator
*
6876-1 (Inv) Alienator
80 Parts, 1 Minifigure, 1988
Sets: Space: Blacktron I

* Add 4 Part 3940b Black Support 2 x 2 x 2 Stand with Complete Hole (Alternate) (match ID 1)

Comments from Submitter:
Set owned since new and was still complete and intact in larger mixed box. All four supports were complete hole, and no other supports were present in the box (either 3940a or 3940b) so these must be the originals from the set. Note that, unlike most 3940b in my spare parts bin, these supports only have two mold numbers on the bottom and do not have a "c" or "lego" there, implying they are of an older vintage which would be reasonable for a 1988 set. Given that 1988 was the last year for 3940a whereas 3940b is reported to have existed as early as 1980, it seems highly likely that at least some 6876 sets were produced with 3940b.

Sorry, one more I neglected to list:

3684 (black) are 3684a (hollow stud)

  In Inventories Requests, weporter writes:

I have gone through the entire inventory in detail and have looked at all parts
with multiple possible mold options. Below I have provided an accurate inventory
(at least for my US version - box UPC: 6 73419 14901 3) for all mold types to
give a clear understanding of one complete set rather than the cobbling together
of many inventory jobs. I will address all pre-existing MIDs first, then refer
to any that do not yet have a MID or are undetermined afterwards.

MID 1: 3957b as per inventory standard (flat top)
MID 2: 30241b as per alternates list (hollow studs)
MID 3: 30237 as per inventory standard (thick open u clips)
MID 4: 44375b as per alternates list (solid studs)
MID 5: 88072 as per alternates list (5mm)
MID 6: 4085d as per alternates list (thick open o clips)
MID 7: 60470b as per alternates list (thick open o clips)
MID 8: 3794b as per alternates list (with groove)
MID 9: 3626cpb0001 as per alternates list (hollow stud)
MID 10: 61252 as per alternates list (thick open o clips)
MID 11: 3626bpb0560 as per inventory standard (blocked open stud)
MID 12: 3626bpb0561 as per inventory standard (blocked open stud)

In addition to the above, I note the following:

1. all 2555 (black and white) are the rounded o clip style found in the right
side of the comparison image (#3) for this part (not to be confused with 15172
which is a completely different mold)
2. yellow 44567 is 44567a (with groove)
3. poc011 (Jack) has head 3626cpb0559 (hollow stud)
4. poc006 (Angelica) has a previously unidentified head which I believe should
be labeled as 3626cpb0564 (hollow stud)
5. gen038 (x2) have head 3626cpb0001 (hollow stud)
6. poc007, poc013 and poc022 all have blocked open stud heads as per the inventory
standard

In summary regarding heads above, all skeletons, Jack and Angelica have hollow
stud, while the remaining minis all have blocked open (arghhhh, the frustration
where accuracy doesn't equal consistency...)

Let me know if there are any further items anyone would like clarification on.

Cheers,
Bill

  Randy,

Just putting the kids to bed now, but I will get through the rest of it tomorrow
and let you know on all of them.

  Randy,

In response to your questions, it was built from new, and kept assembled until
today when I was disassembling for cleaning and storage back in the box. During
that process I was double checking the inventory to make sure it was still 100%
complete, which is when I discovered the undefined spears.

Thanks,
Bill

Comments from Submitter:
I note that the spears are currently classified in the inventory as unknown end (4497u), which is due for deletion. I can confirm that my 4195 (USA) came with round end spears (4497).

I have a couple of questions before I can approve this change:

(1) Did you build this set from sealed set contents or was it obtained as a used
set?
(2) If you built it from sealed set contents, were the pieces always left unmixed
with other sets?

Thanks for your assistance!

Cheers,
Randy

* Change 5 Part Black {4497u Minifig, Weapon Pike / Spear - (MARKED FOR DELETION - Undetermined End Version) to 4497 Minifig, Weapon Pike / Spear - Round End}

Comments from Submitter:
I note that the spears are currently classified in the inventory as unknown end (4497u), which is due for deletion. I can confirm that my 4195 (USA) came with round end spears (4497).

Please make changes to the following inventory:

Set No: 6059 Name: Knight's Stronghold
*
6059-1 (Inv) Knight's Stronghold
206 Parts, 5 Minifigures, 1990
Sets: Castle: Black Knights

* Add 2 Part 4085b Blue Plate, Modified 1 x 1 with Clip Vertical - Type 2 (thin U clip)
* Delete 2 Part 4085c Blue Plate, Modified 1 x 1 with Clip Vertical - Type 3 (thick U clip)
* Add 2 Part 4085c Blue Plate, Modified 1 x 1 with Clip Vertical - Type 3 (thick U clip) (Alternate) (match ID 1)

Comments from Submitter:
I have this set, which was stored separately since childhood. All clips are thin-u (4085b), which contradicts the inventory which has black and grey as thin, but the blue as thick (4085c). Further, the instructions show what appear to be thin clips as well. While I don't dispute that some sets may have shipped with thick blue u-clips, I think that most likely this should be considered an alternate, and the matching thin-u should be considered the standard build. Accordingly, I have made changes to add 4085b to regular, delete 4085c from regular, and add 4085c as an alternate.

Set No: 6276 Name: Eldorado Fortress
*
6276-1 (Inv) Eldorado Fortress
462 Parts, 8 Minifigures, 1989
Sets: Pirates: Pirates I: Imperial Soldiers

* Add 4 Part 4085c Yellow Plate, Modified 1 x 1 with Clip Vertical - Type 3 (thick U clip) (Alternate) (match ID 4)
* Add 1 Part 4085c White Plate, Modified 1 x 1 with Clip Vertical - Type 3 (thick U clip) (Alternate) (match ID 4)

Comments from Submitter:
I have owned a non-shooting cannons version of this set new since childhood and it has thick u-clips (yellow and white). It was stored separately in the box and is complete and in mint condition, so I am confident the parts were never swapped out.

Please make changes to the following inventory:

Set No: 6081 Name: King's Mountain Fortress
*
6081-1 (Inv) King's Mountain Fortress
401 Parts, 8 Minifigures, 1990
Sets: Castle: Crusaders

* Add 6 Part 4085c Light Gray Plate, Modified 1 x 1 with Clip Vertical - Type 3 (thick U clip) (Alternate) (match ID 5)

Comments from Submitter:
I own the redesigned alternate build version of this set (with 10 Light Gray Brick 2 x 2 Corner), and mine contains thick u clips (4085c) rather than thin u clips (4085b). It was stored separately, so I am confident these are the clips that came with the set, but perhaps another member who owns the redesigned version can verify upon checking their own set.
