I was an active seller on this site 15 years ago. I recently have began to buy
new sets and lots as my son is 4 years old and he seems to enjoy it. I like the
creator houses from the past couple of years.

Anyway, I bought a 40 lb lot from a garage sale last summer ($120). I've
been wanting to get rid of it as we just don't have the room and my son isn't
ready for the types of pieces in this lot.

I noticed is has an unusual number of DARK GREEN 1x3 bricks, maybe 100 to 150!
In the past thirty minutes or so I have discovered that this piece is quite rare
and evidently worth about $6.00 A PIECE(?)! I see it was only available in the
10133 BNSF Locomotive. It came with two.

How is it that I would have so many in this box? Obviously they did not own 50+
Locomotive sets based on the parts in the lot. I really believe I have the dark
green parts. They are not regular green, sand green, teal, or lime, and they
are certainly not a clone brick. At a glance, I have a 2x2 invert slope, 4x8
plate and a forestman style large plant piece that are the same color.

Could they have been in a LEGO Store pick-a-brick? When I have time, possibly
tomorrow I will see how many there actually are. Any thought or comments would
be appreciated.

I just wasted 6 hours placing an order just find out fine print stated I could
only buy lots in quantities of a $1. If this is a stipulation of a seller I
shouldn’t have to sift through fine print to find it. Likely I will not use
this site again until this is fixed. I quickly learned (100) meant quantities
divisible by 100 and when I miss that I am warned which is great and very helpful.
It should be the same when sellers have a stupid rule similar to described.
If a seller wants to have a stupid rule so be it, but it should be more obvious
to the buyer when selecting quantities to purchase.

When a store has that option enabled, it will show up on that grey line next
to the green cart button. Even then, it is always best to read through a stores
terms before preparing a cart.

Good question, it should be a 2018 entry.

Why is the rare Star Wars minifigure Finch Dallow (sw1005) registered under 2017?

I know the original LEGO set (Resistance Bomber) was released in 2017, but the
re-release of the set - which included the new Finch Dallow minifig - is from
late 2018.

Or am I wrong?

If minifig dates work the same way than for parts, they are automatically set
from the (oldest) set they are from.
So, unless the new version of the set gets its own entry, the minifig’s date
will stay 2017.
