Ah, that makes more sense. I was unfamiliar with the word, but I looked it up.

I have a magnifier with a light that gets me part numbers 98% of the time, but
Hygrotus' decision to become an entomologist and probably a bunch of grad
school and all just so he would have equipment to get the other 2% just seems
like an overreaction to the situation.

To me, yes. I have never been able visually to distinguish the difference between
the two without reinforcement - medium think - thin. I just don't see it,
try as I might.

You can always check mold number molded on the part's underside, magnifying
glass maybe needed.

Or a light piped thingamajig if you happen to be an entomologist (which is kind
of cheating).

I thought about buying an otoscope the other day so I could see the part number
on the giraffe guy's hat. Then I thought that might be a sign of obsession.

Sets: Town: City: Police

Comments from Submitter:
2453b is already an alternate, so the regular can only be 2453a.

Not necessarily. If the alternate part was caught late and added to the catalog
late, then this set may have originally come with only 2453b. I will try to find
some evidence for this, but if I can't, this request will be rejected.

Cheers,
Randy

I checked this set in my personal collection. It has 2453a. It was bought new
sealed and never mixed with parts from other sets.

Thank you for that, Paul.

Comments from Submitter:
Plates in the sets I parted out are variant WITHOUT groove 44567b

Were the sets you parted out brand new? The reason I ask is because the 44567a
in LBG have already been confirmed from sealed set contents.

If the sets you parted out were brand new, then we will need to add the parts
as alternates instead of changing what has already been found.

Cheers,
Randy

This will only change what is shown on your Bricklink account. You'll have
to destroy all the Legos manually.

I've found that it's best swallow them whole!

Hello Pam it is very easy to do - just go to your inventory page and underneath
the title " items in my inventory " you will in white letters see " category
" click the box in front of this - this will put a tick in the boxes of all
of your inventory then simply scroll down to the " Update My Inventory: " section
near the bottom of the page click the box " delete my items " scroll down to
the bottom and click on " submit changes " and thats it done - be warned though
once you do this there is no recovering this information - it is final and your
inventory is gone forever - I hope this helps kind regards Mark.

Thank you

Select all at the top, it should check all boxes if you select that one in the
header.

Then scroll down and select the "delete items circle", and click submit changes

I don't see why it couldn't be with all of the other robot minifigures
already in the catalog. Submit it to the catalog and see what happens. If it
is accepted, we can adjust the inventory accordingly.

I very much agree. This abiguity should be part of both the items for sale (sellers
not wanting to bother to distinguish) and the wanted lists (buyers not caring
whether they get the on or the other variety).

Taken a bit further, for the wanted lists this might take the form of 'any
shade of green', 'a brick of width 2' or 'the a or c variety
of 4085'.

Wishful thinking, but if this #1 upgrade is implemented in Bricklink XL, I am
all for it, despite whatever changes they might make to the interface.

In the first LEGO Movie 2 preview ( https://youtu.be/XvHSlHhh1gk?t=31 ) the sewer
babies are all holding weapons and the like. Anyway, I was planning on making
my own Apocalypseburg display, and of course, I want to have some sewer babies.

My question is: Is there such a thing as a baby body that has hands that can
grip minifig scale items (3.2mm diameter)?

Thanks,
David

Well, I personally don't care too much for mocs, but those restoring vintage
sets for themselves or customers DO care about variants.

Clips have a bunch as well.

I'm still learning them all. Its interesting, at minimum, and sometimes a
pain
