Big maybe on that. I thought everything came out of Illinois. Mos Eisley's
were 9+ pounds and came with the GWPs in the same box. The Orient Expresses
were 7+ and came in the "ready to ship" boxes that are custom sized,
but the the GWPs came separate. Where else do they ship from in the US?

Hi all, thanks for the help in advance.
I am trying to upload an image of a piece that I wish to add to the catalogue
but all my imagaes are too big (bigger than the 800 x 600 pixel limit).
How should I go about getting a picture that I can upload?

Hello all! How much would you pay someone to sort a 12 gallon tub of Lego?
I buy Lego at about $2 - $4 a pound if that helps

How would you want it sorted by color or category or size?

Categories.

We sort into 19 different categories. The same ones that the Great Brick Lab
(GBL) uses to sort their Lego. I’ll post a link to the sorting sheet later.

Here's the link to the sorting sheet.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1809BBSWvmC6HrqpWcbQa-YP6alDrJOIe/view

They share it in the description for this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iSr8117iiIQ&t=7s

I printed it out and sort 1 pound of Lego into the category’s and it took around
50 minutes so I’m think maybe $2 a pound. But maybe state that you have to finish
sorting the entire bin to get paid. I would also pull out category #16 just as
a per caution. Also it should not be snowing this time of year

I'm cackling, thank you XD

We definitely could have talked about it on the catalog panel if the catalog
panel had EVER been consulted about this.

The catalog panel was informed of this merge project months before it was announced
publicly. But the purpose of the panel is to bring community voice to the development
team, not contribute to catalog policy.

Unless there was a meeting I missed somehow, I do not recollect that we were
informed of this project or asked to give any input or suggestions. There was
a brief mention that there was a variant project but no details or timetables
were ever given. Considering that many people on the Panel were among those who
expressed surprise and dismay when this was all introduced, I would think that
those meetings would indeed have been an ideal place to breach the subject with
the members at large.

The only thing I recollect is talking about the need to tackle the variants on
the catalog, but nothing specific, I must have missed it too.

We do address catalog policy when it comes up, but it's definitely a sideline
issue, as are all issues that relate to other BrickLink teams, like Marketplace
and Studio. Panel meetings are not the place to debate proposed variant merges.
The Forum is, and there was plenty of debate and even opportunity for more debate.

Perhaps it was not the place to discuss the exact specifics of each part being
looked at. But it would have been good to know how the project would be introduced
and carried out. We are supposed to be looking out for the community and sharing
out expertise after all.

Thanks,
~Jen

He only claims that we were informed of the project and that is the truth. We
were told that it existed.

I'm surprised 25 million wasn't a big topic of conversation in the forum.
Didn't even know it was coming up. I remember 10 million being a pretty big
deal around here.

I recently purchased a used copy of the reissued Black Seas Barracuda and this
torso was there, also the torso has a modern underside and that is in common
with all the figures that came with the re-released set.

This can only be fixed by replacing the minifigure in the set inventory. But
the correct minifigure (with 973pb0280c01) must first be added to the catalog.
You can submit it here:
https://www.bricklink.com/wantedCatalog.asp?catType=M
The number would be pi198.

I didn't think that a set bought USED was allowed to be used as proof to
change or update / add to an inventory. Did this policy change?

Cass T

It isn't the only proof. There is only one set that occurred after the underside
torso design changed and that is 10040. The black buckle torso has the modern
underside so there isn't much possibility it could be any other set.

I haven't had to order anything online from TLG in a month or two and
placed an order for multiple copies of a set late Monday night. Much to my surprise
they arrived today. But the bigger surprise was that they shipped the GWP's
in separate boxes. Is this a fluke or did they listen to our complaints about
smaller sets getting crushed? Seems like the orders from early February were
all packed in to one box.

I have had several GWP ship separately but it mainly depends on the set you order.
Bigger sets tend to be stored in their own shipping box in the warehouse.

Cass T

“ For the first year after a set was originally released, inventories will only
be accepted from sealed set contents. Exceptions may be made for bundle packs,
certain accessory sets or service packs which only contain very few items, and
also for sets that were distributed in an open (non-sealed) packaging. If no
inventory was created during the first year, then any source may be used to create
an inventory.”

I didn't think that a set bought USED was allowed to be used as proof to
change or update / add to an inventory. Did this policy change?

I think that that only applies if the set is only 1 year old

I haven't had to order anything online from TLG in a month or two and
placed an order for multiple copies of a set late Monday night. Much to my surprise
they arrived today. But the bigger surprise was that they shipped the GWP's
in separate boxes. Is this a fluke or did they listen to our complaints about
smaller sets getting crushed? Seems like the orders from early February were
all packed in to one box.

For me it has happened when a buyer is local and selects local pick-up. I invoice

order then sits permanently at packed with payment as none. Then the next order
they place gets added onto their last 'open order' as a new batch. I
send them an invoice and there is no pay button.

This may very well be what happened here.

I've been patiently waiting for the help desk to look into the ticket that
I filed, but have it on my to-do list to send them a second request for help
at the end of the month. It isn't currently happening, but my local buyers
have been busy recently and haven't been placing as many orders.

I do hope a resolution can be found!

The only solution we have been able to work out is for me to email my buyer my
direct PayPal link and take payment that way, then we can at least move forward
with getting their parts to them.

This really isn't a good solution because taxes are not being remitted to
Bricklink or whomever the taxes get remitted too. I understand it is the only
way for you with your local buyers currently. Bricklink does need to find a solution
for this.

What I suspected too.

Hence my don't pay without having the "Pay" button on the order
page (or the orders one)
.

So, don't pay and ask the seller for explanations?

From what I can tell this is a bug. I've seen more times than I am happy

For me it has happened when a buyer is local and selects local pick-up. I invoice
them, they pay, they pick up, but the system never registers the payment, their
order then sits permanently at packed with payment as none. Then the next order
they place gets added onto their last 'open order' as a new batch. I
send them an invoice and there is no pay button. My inventory/order system then
tries to subtract their previous order + their new order from my inventory screwing
up my numbers. It's become a whole annoying thing. I currently have 22 orders
sitting as filed that are payment-none and status-packed.

I've been patiently waiting for the help desk to look into the ticket that
I filed, but have it on my to-do list to send them a second request for help

Does it have to do with something the seller has not checked prior to sending
the invoice?

The 1st order I placed in their store was paid for through invoice and had the
"Pay" button, so I have no idea what has gone wrong this time.

TL;DR

There's no "Pay" or "Go" button in any invoice, except if
the seller put this link (button) himself in a specific invoice he sent you (which
can be completely manual or automatic).

Which the seller obviously did or the "GO" link would not have been there.

I did mention, I have been buying on Bricklink for 20 years, well in 3 days it
will be 20 years, so I am NOT a rookie and I do know where to look to pay for
an order!

Same here. You get, what is it, about 6 weeks to pay it so there really shouldn't
be any excuse to missing it. Especially if going away, paying it before leaving
is sensible. You don't have to remember once you are back.

One feature that might be helpful here is the ability to pre-pay fees.

+1

AutoPay set-up, as available with most other services today, might be nice too

Many sites have automated billing yes,

also they could implement more payment methods with less fees that would bring more revenue for them...

More payment methods with less fees? Not something to argue with Though still
trying to understand "bring more revenue for them" Who's them,
and how would it do that for them?

Much more... with the extra planning development test deployment accounting costs
to save say 2% of 3%... they may start to save money in 5 or 10 years maybe?

Interesting. Thanks

the only reasons I can think of that there wouldn't be a pay button is 1.
If the invoice wasn't sent (if they changed shipping prices after they sent
it it would then null the first invoice). 2. if its offsite payment or 3 its
paid.

I have been buying on this site for 20 years. Never have I had a problem paying
for an order until now.

My seller sent me an invoice, I paid for the order, the seller contacted me and
told me he forgot to add in the shipping and that he would send another invoice
for that. Knowing the seller could not invoice me for just shipping, I told the
seller to hold on to the order for 1 week and I would place another order so
that they could then invoice me for the shipping for both orders and send them
both together.

To me this seemed like a no-brainer. It gets me a bunch of parts I need and I
get to save on shipping and the seller gets the shipping costs paid.

1 week goes by and I place my second order, the seller sends me an invoice for
the second order, but I think something must have been wrong with it because
when I clicked into the invoice there was a message at the top of it that the
invoice had been updated and it had a "Go" link.

Okay this is new; I have never seen an invoice with a "Go" link before.
I click on the link, and it takes me to another invoice that looks identical
to the first invoice. I read through the invoice, as I always do, make sure it
all looks correct, and go back up to the top to click on the "Pay" button
only there isn't a "Pay" button. I look on my orders page, no "pay"
button next to the order. I look on the order itself, no "Pay" button.

I reach out to the seller and inform them that there isn't a "Pay"
button for me to click on and did they make sure that the invoice was set for
Onsite PayPal?
The seller assured me it was set correctly.

The seller has not said 1 word to my message of there being no "Pay"
button to use nor how I am supposed to pay for the order.

I did send a second message to the seller 3 hours ago but still have not heard
anything back.

I did check the forum and the seller is not asking any questions regarding this
matter.

Can anyone explain why an invoice would be sent without a pay option?
Does it have to do with something the seller has not checked prior to sending
the invoice?

The 1st order I placed in their store was paid for through invoice and had the
"Pay" button, so I have no idea what has gone wrong this time.

I'm sure if I was "in Hiroshima when it happens" I would NOT ask
you to represent the bomber.

Something's doesn't seem to be coherent in what you wrote.

I'm also pretty sure LEGO isn't interested / doesn't allow
representations of actual war weapons and sceneries.

The concept of promoting peace while representing mass destruction objects is
a VERY complex approach, and I think you're far from this comprehension /
distance which would be required.

I'm 100% sure I'm NOT interested in this "project".

Please also take note that you should be an adult to register here.

This is super Surprising because they had a very high Sale Count with mostly

Quite a milestone.

Congratulations!

The chance that a seller will reach this milestone and also be an active member
of the forum is almost zero.

I'm coming up with something: couldn't Bricklink organize a competition
where sellers receive a prize when they reach a critical order number? For example,
a free set 10305 for the seller who has order 2510000?

I received order 25002416!
This is a very unique number and the last time an order will have this order
number!!
Doesn't it deserve a prize?

It does! You should treat yourself to pizza! that order funded it!

So that'll make a Pizza per order with an unique number?
Something like 75/100 Pizzas per week?
That's the problem with fanatics; they're crazy

A worthy goal!

Hello,
I bought 2 LEGO Mosaic sets with photoes of my kids in NY on 5-th avenue, and
as a gift, they included Mosaic instructions for the Statue of Liberty and Empire
State Building. My son has assemble the Statue of Liberty and is super happy
with it, but unfortunately, we printed paper instruction for Empire State Building
got somehow lost. Probably we accidentally threw it with the empty LEGO box.
Does anyone by chance has the instruction and is willing to share the photo of
it?

Best regards and thanks in advance, George

I do not have enough words to express my frustration about this.

There is no ticket system, no ticket reference, not even an option to see the
ticket I logged, no option to follow up. Just absolutely nothing, and this place
is owned by Lego.

Baffling is an understatement.

How do I get a reply from bricklink?

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Help is on the way.

Yes! That usually happens when we get new used bulk in.

When we get new bulk in, we usually do something along the lines of what these
guys do. Some fig parts do slip through.

Why is LEGO's PaB website not included among the stores on BL?

(I tried to search for this suggestion in the Forum but didn't find anything)

Anyone have the data on what percentage of parts/colors/patterns available on
BrickLink is on the current PAB menu?

They now have 15087 lots for sale, but only 14694 in stock. Bestsellers in stock
are 4180 lots.

Also, I think the prices would become much higher if LEGO had to pay enough people
to ship every order as quickly and accurately as a good BL shop does.

Hi and welcome

If you’re talking about Studio, you can’t: it’s English only

Also, the dedicated forum for Studio and PartDesigner is https://forum.bricklink.com/
(hover over the red Studio icon on every page, then click “Studio Forum”).

Please search the forum for your question before posting a new one (the search
box is in the very dark grey banner).
There’s indexes of known bugs and suggestions that you can browse first:

I recently purchased a used copy of the reissued Black Seas Barracuda and this
torso was there, also the torso has a modern underside and that is in common
with all the figures that came with the re-released set.

This can only be fixed by replacing the minifigure in the set inventory. But
the correct minifigure (with 973pb0280c01) must first be added to the catalog.
You can submit it here:

The number would be pi198.

  Hello everyone,

I thought it would be good to give people an update on the variant project. As
of now, everything we announced would change in this post:

https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1454437

has been completed, EXCEPT the decorated minifigure heads and new Help pages.

Link for the overview:

Scheduled completion date is still the end of May.

I would like to see an update on this grooved variant that was merged:

Can you image if UPS had this kind of transition? They’d be out of business.

If DeJoy has his way, that is exactly what will happen. Then his corporate buddies
can sweep in and pick up overblown federal contracts taking dollars out of the
general population and putting it into the pockets of shareholders; all the while
blaming the federal government for mismanagement of federal dollars, continuing
to reduce the middle class, raise prices, blame the population for their lack
of drive and work ethic, while rigging the system so only the 1% can succeed;
while the cult of personality waves the flag, lies with his hand on the good
book and distracts the gullible by spouting Putin's talking points and prosthelytizing
about freedumbs.

Many of the changes the USPS has been making are necessary and, in some cases,
have improved service. Package processing during the holidays has been great
the last few years after the pandemic meltdown.
But this was a disaster, my USPS rep as usual had no answers. I see now not even
a US Senator could get his answers without dragging Mr. Dejoy Infront of a committee.
Can you image if UPS had this kind of transition? They’d be out of business.

We are having so much fun in Atlanta with our postal system! (NOT.)

Please understand that I love the United States Postal System. I think it is
an amazing organization that has done an outstanding job serving the people of
our country since its founding. This post is not meant to denigrate the hardworking
individuals who are trying to do their jobs, but are caught up in a political
nightmare not of their own making.

In case you've been caught up with other stories around the world, here is
the latest on my region's woes and the USPS system in general:

I buy Lego at about $2 - $4 a pound if that helps

How would you want it sorted by color or category or size?

Categories.

We sort into 19 different categories. The same ones that the Great Brick Lab
(GBL) uses to sort their Lego. I’ll post a link to the sorting sheet later.

How much does The Great Brick Lab pay/charge?

When clicking Buy All on a Wanted List and then clicking Auto-Select, only third-party
stores are listed. The price of a part is often (but not always) cheaper from
LEGO's PaB website than from any third-party store. Also, PaB shipping is
free if the order is at least $35, whereas shipping costs can really add up when
buying from third-party stores. LEGO has owned BL for almost half a decade.
Why is LEGO's PaB website not included among the stores on BL?

(I tried to search for this suggestion in the Forum but didn't find anything)

In my experience, it's rare that PaB is actually cheaper - if it were I'd
definitely be buying parts there and selling them here.

I sent a ticket to support two and a half months ago and still havent received
a reply

I do not have enough words to express my frustration about this.

There is no ticket system, no ticket reference, not even an option to see the
ticket I logged, no option to follow up. Just absolutely nothing, and this place
is owned by Lego.

Baffling is an understatement.

How do I get a reply from bricklink?

Why would LEGO care whether any third-party stores (i.e. competitors of LEGO's

Because that would directly impact their own sales. Myself and many others focus
solely on new sets and new set part outs, buying multiple copies of high dollar
sets. How many $200, $400, $600+ sets do regular consumers (or BL buyers without
a store) buy per year, and how many do small rinky dink stores like me - or
extremely large stores not like me - buy per month? I'd argue that an enthusiastic
3PS is worth a minimum - minimum - of 40 run of the mill consumers.

Also, third-party stores would still be indispensable, because there are so many
parts that are unavailable from the PaB website.

Indispensable and profitable are two different things. Plus how many people
place an order for 50 lots of discontinued parts? Think of at least five of
unavailable parts you're trying to find and go look at the sales history
of it. At best it's current for sale average is probably a couple of bucks
and at least three of those probably have an outlier that's ~50% below the
average. From the sounds of it, you're going to buy from the cheapest store,
and they made "a coupl'a bucks". That's not running a business,
that's running a charity without the benefits of 501c status.

When taking over bricklink, LEGO claimed they wouldn't interfere with the
marketplace, implying they wouldn't compete with sellers. If they want to
compete with sellers, then many sellers will leave and move to the independent
marketplace.

They would also need to behave like other BL sellers. I'd leave them negative
feedback unless they improved their order turn around times.

has been completed, EXCEPT the decorated minifigure heads and new Help pages.

https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=2625

Scheduled completion date is still the end of May.

I didn't realize 32064b was on the chopping block.

Wasn't there that whole controversy with that guy who claimed to have used
it in a "moc on top of a stud so therefore it was useful" even though
it cannot fit on top of a stud

32064b could go on a hollow stud. I would have spoken up on it, but I didn't
realize it was on the block.

We definitely could have talked about it on the catalog panel if the catalog
panel had EVER been consulted about this.

The catalog panel was informed of this merge project months before it was announced
publicly. But the purpose of the panel is to bring community voice to the development
team, not contribute to catalog policy.

There went a double handful of my catalog work and all the give-a-darn that I
had stockpiled. I think I'll go touch grass and see if it is everything
people talk it up to be.

We knew the hardest thing about this project was having to undo some work that
the community had done. The important thing moving forward, though, is that no
one is going to keep investing in that handful of variants that we removed. This
will also force us to consider more closely the addition of variants in the future,
to avoid this happening again.

And, like I said clearly before, we have a complete record of all modern inventory
change requests. They are all preserved in the Forum for those that want to see
what you discovered in your sealed sets. And the vast majority of your work is
still completely intact and helping other members, so let's not paint this
as a total loss.

  Hello everyone,

I thought it would be good to give people an update on the variant project. As
of now, everything we announced would change in this post:

https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1454437

has been completed, EXCEPT the decorated minifigure heads and new Help pages.

Link for the overview:

https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=2625

Scheduled completion date is still the end of May.

I didn't realize 32064b was on the chopping block.

It's been on the list since day one. The purpose was to remove distinctions
based on the shape of the axle hole.

32064c was renamed to 32064a and was retained.

Why would LEGO care whether any third-party stores (i.e. competitors of LEGO's
PaB website) close down?

Also, third-party stores would still be indispensable, because there are so many
parts that are unavailable from the PaB website.

Lego owns Bricklink, and Bricklink is strictly third-party sellers; the site
would die and Lego would lose money on their investment & whatnot

If you want to source parts from PAB and Bricklink, use BrickHunter, a Chrome
extension that lets you upload a wanted list & auto-selects parts from PAB and
shows what you would need to get from Bricklink if parts are unavailable or retired

Yes, BH is amazing, and I often use it. But it adds another layer of complexity
and another step in the process.

Ever order from PAB? Enjoy your bricks 2-3 months later.

For standard bricks but yah it’s crazy.
