Yes - Chrome is Evil, change chrome!!!

Short story, using Chrome, Google knows what they wish on all what you're
doing.

Do as you wish, can't help you much on Chrome which obviously I don't
use.
Maybe try to do some searches, but it's going to be difficult, just describing
the issue...

At least for some time, Frankly, just install Firefox on Mac?
Free, open-source, respecting privacy and all.

I don't know if it works well on Mac neither, but at least, for some time
use a differen browser?

Do you have any extensions enabled? That could mess with things.

The real question is why would they. If you hide canceled posts or just ignore them it in no way affects the usage

The issue is that they continue to allow it in the first place and have yet to
do anything to permanently resolve it

There ARE solutions - basic ones like Captcha, delays (like 24 hrs before posting),
plus many FAR more effective.

Problem is, many newbies find BrickLink's a great community because they
create an account and post a question like "What's this piece?" or
"How do I build this?", or...

So the more you'll make it difficult, the more newbies won't access BrickLink
Forum.

Voltaire said something like this: "It's better to have a hundred guilty
people free than one innocent person in prison."

Frankly I prefer 3 gummies posts than 1 newbie who can't join the community.

And seeing the recent posts, I tend to prefer gummies posts to the complainers
ones

System? Browser?
So few information when you've got a problem

Say Win10 and Edge?
Then install a brand new Firefox, and test the same thing...

If we just pretend everything will work out in the end, it never will, and we'll

way to hold BL's feet to the fire. So instead of going "chicken",
demand better from the company that runs the community we are all responsible
for.

Ever since Dan passed away, we've been demanding more accountability, transparency,
and communication from BrickLink.

It's not working.

Besides Russell, I'm not sure how much management is even aware of what goes
on in the forum. We've not heard much from our Community Engagement Directors:

https://www.bricklink.com/messageList.asp?uName=CE_Eric
https://www.bricklink.com/messageList.asp?uName=CE_Tanja
https://www.bricklink.com/messageList.asp?uName=CE_Uday

But, for all I know, they may very well be lurking the forums, reading without
posting, as I am often inclined to. I've no evidence, though.

But, even if they're not very active, at least "Community Engagement
Director" is a position that exists, and there are roundtable meetings and
focus groups with select members of the community. Perhaps someday,
something will materialize out of these meetings. Count your blessings.

I really don't care about forum spam. But I do care that the OP is concerned
about security and the reply to that was making the point that if BL can't
keep out spam from the form, how can they keep our accounts secure? These are
valid concerns, and shouldn't just be dismissed by BL apologists who assume
the cost is too high for security. It's a really simple point that should
be supported by everyone, not belittled.

Whilst I have no problem with being BrickLink's guinea pig however given
the recent warnings about phishing emails targeting BrickLink users, I figured
that it would be best to check if this is a legitimate email before signing up.

The Sign up! link goes to an Office 365 form that asks questions including Name,
Email address and BrickLink username.

Could someone from BrickLink please advise if BrickLink has indeed been sending
out such emails, or is someone else up to no good?

I received the same email earlier today.

Mine's from blservice@bricklink.com, so I'm pretty sure it can
be trusted unless BrickLink's email servers have been hacked.

Pretty much all of my BrickLink email comes from this address; anything else
is immediately suspicious.

But it's always good to check and ask, and I recommend you check yours to
make sure it came from blservice@bricklink.com as well.

You can also hover your cursor (don't click) over the link/button to see
the exact URL where it leads.

As I said, it's not necessarily worth it to prevent a relatively small amount
of relatively harmless spam, especially when the developers have other priorities.

That being said, if the spam does get out of control, then it might justify some
sort of technical solution, but everyone's tolerance for spam is different.
I don't mind a bit of salt.

Communication is nice, but I'd rather the developers focus on getting stuff

That is so untrue. Your profile says you're american, the land of the free,
right? Well here's a pep-talk. America didn't become free without people
who were willing to stand up and do something. Same goes for Bricklink, which
we all pay a fee to use, which gives us a say. If no one says anything, no one
is ever held accountable. If you want to see a community succeed, you have to
be part of it, not just sit on the sidelines and watch while it falls apart.
If you see something, say something, better yet, do something, or the freedoms
you take for granted will disappear. Bricklink's challenges are your challenges.
The thumper rule is for the uninvolved - get involved - care about the LEGO community
- be an american hero! (GI-JOE?)

What should we stand up and do? Create a better version of BrickLink?

When Benjamin Franklin was dismissed from his position as Postmaster General
of the Thirteen Colonies, he returned to America and used his experience working
in England to set up a rival system that eventually became the United States
Postal Service (USPS) we continue to rely on a quarter of a millennium later.

I've heard rumors that better things are on the horizon:
https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1332403
https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1459043

I've been hearing these rumors for a while now, but I still have hope, for
these things take time.

Patience is a virtue, but Americans are not known for being very patient.

  No it isn't
They've been letting spam accounts run rampant for the past year despite
announcing a "fix" coming "soon"

MrEvil from Ukraine was supposedly the culprit, he's been banned since August
2023, and the spam continues... somehow we're supposed to think they care
about keeping the site safe?

If they can't even deal with simple forum spam, how the hell are we to trust
them with our account security?

"Oh just report it so the forum mods can deal with it"
Yeah, rely on the volunteers instead of paying your security team to come up
with a premanent fix for it... makes total sense

What a goddamn joke

How do you propose we solve the forum spam problem?

A "member" registers in India or the USA, starts a single thread in the
discussion forum advertising gummies or escorts, the thread is cancelled by the
moderators within minutes or hours, and the account is deactivated and anonymized
the same day that it was created. Rinse and repeat.

It happens a few times every night, and it seems that, with the help of the community,
a few human moderators can keep on top of the spammers without too much difficulty.

Yes, BrickLink could implement more advanced technical solutions to prevent spam
accounts from being created in the first place, but it's not necessarily
worth the investment just to prevent a few relatively harmless spam posts every
night. I'm sure the BrickLink developers are busy dealing with more important
bugs and vulnerabilities.

The only time is was a real problem was on December 12th, 2022:
https://www.bricklink.com/messageList.asp?msgDate=12/12/2022

I'm not sure what happened there and whether all those posts were cancelled
by mods or by admins, but I sense that BrickLink's primary weakness is
not its leadership but its age. A switch to a newer, more modern platform might
help tighten security, but that's not a simple fix and will probably face
a lot of resistance from longtime members like XP did.

Yes, that email does contain a link to the following help page regarding One-Time

But the body of the email does not ask you to click on or open the link; it merely
cautions against logging in from links sent in suspicious emails and advises
sellers to enable OTP to add an additional layer of protection to their account.

You might need to have Newsletter enabled here:

https://www.bricklink.com/pref_contact.asp

I haven't received the email either, and I am also subscribed to the newsletter.
So the message has not gone to all users, or all newsletter subscribers.

I get tons of spam emails daily from all sorts of “businesses”… Netflix, PayPal,
banks, etc all doing the same thing. They have much larger IT teams as well.
You simply can’t beat them.

What everyone needs to do it learn how to identify fake emails. Check the emails,
hover over links, etc and it’s typically very easy to catch things.

If we can learn how to check spam, we can direct our frustration back to merges
and gummies.

So step 3 of becoming a seller is proof of identification. In the list of what
they accept as proof they label driver license, passport or identity card. I
provided my drivers license thinking that is enough since that is what they ask
for. The website will not accept it even though it is not expired and it also
shows my birth date. I am unsure if I should trust this website because of this
issue.

As far as trusting this website is concerned, BrickLink is trustworthy; you can
take my word for it…

Did they give a reason why your driver's license was not accepted? You do
have to be at least eighteen years of age to have a BrickLink account, even if
you have a valid unexpired driver's license showing your date of birth.

It could also be some stupid technical reason that has nothing to do with your
proof of identification (e.g. image size is too big, image is in the wrong format),
and therefore "the website will not accept it".

But as Carissa pointed out, you already have a storefront, so you may not be
as far from selling as you think. It may be a simple matter of opening your store.

A year ago, on the internet, I found some very rare and unknown Lego sets: the
Lego Batman Movie Promotional Cubes.
I became very interested about their history.

They are cubic dioramas, similar to the Cubedude sets, with four or five Minifigures
inside and a small build representing a scene from the movie.
There are a few diferent designs and they were gifts from Warner, given out on
a few diferent occasions and promotions. The attached photos are examples these
cubes.

Despite many hours of reaserch, because of their rarety, I coudn't find much
info.

I am asking for ANY further information about these 2017 Lego Batman Movie Promo
Cubes.

Any information would be appreciated.
Including: photos of the Cubes or their original boxes or accessories,
any links mentioning these Cubes, old sales and their sale prices,
if someone actually owns one or saw one and indeed any other infomation.

No spam messages, please!

I have been able to find images from Google (and this thread) four boxes that
contain unique minifigures: one on a couch (female) and three "red carpet
style" (2 male, one female). Being a completionist with my DC Minifigure
collection, I attempted to find the parts to make those unique minifigures for
my collection. Unfortunately, I could not find matches for any of the torsos
on Bricklink. I am under the impression that the torsos released with these boxes
must be unique and made specifically for this promotion.

It's okay to criticize something you love, and I'm sure there are others
that feel similar but stay quiet as to avoid conflict - and to be honest, I still
walk on eggshells and bite my tongue to avoid risking a ban on here

I've never seen people so complacent and accepting of bot spam in my life

(Thumper Mode: OFF)

Those supporting the efforts of the Bricklink Team are not shills nor are we
accepting of bot spam.

Many of us have extensive experience in the tech industry and understand the
challenges going on behind the scenes.

We know how frustrating it can be when a few noisy people try to denigrate the
efforts when they have no clue about the scope of the problem or the efforts
to find a permanent resolution.

(Thumper Mode: ON)

Please, talk down to us more, it’s really convincing.

You just keep pretending that BL operates solely the way you think it does and
for your best interest. The rest of us will stay curious and not pretend.

Was the genuine email that Bricklink send a link to follow?

I got one but deleted it, surely a genuine link about a scam should not be another
link to follow??

Just came across this on another website...

https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?G=snowkit01&name=Snow%20Character%20Building%20Kit&category=%5BDecoration%5D#T=S&O={%22iconly%22:0}

Did not know Target carried it a few years ago. Would be cool to have one of
the parts.

Are you sure that it wasn’t accepted and if so, how do you know that was the
case? Your seller status is green, which suggests all you have to do now is open
your store and get started. You can open your shop in the “My Store” settings.

I’d better be quiet now.

The Bricklink team has to play a very difficult balancing act. Unless you've
walked in their shoes you can't understand the challenges they face.

I've supported some of the largest web sites on the internet, but I'd
be a fool to think I know the Bricklink teams' challenges or how to solve
them.

Sometimes it's best to practice "The Thumper Rule".

(GI-JOE?)

  That's stupid to blame BrickLink.

First, the site is built on technology from 2000. Until they upgrade the platform
completely, they do as much as possible to lock it down. Hence the Nov 3rd incident.
Two-factor authentication has been available for opt-in if you think you will
benefit from it:

https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=2615

I'm sure they are handling this as best they can, a rewrite is in progress.
We were told about 6 months ago that it will be a two year job. So hang in and
look for bigger things in the future.

Currently, if Store A has 90 positives and 10 neutrals and Store B has 90 positives
and 10 negatives, the feedback percentage is the same for both. This is misleading.

What is misleading about it? They both have 10 non positive feedback out of 100,
so there is the warning from the percentage praise that the buyer should check
the feedback.

It is misleading because the neutrals are treated the same as the negatives and
they are not the same.

They aren't being treated as the same. A store with 90 positives and 10 neutrals
has a score of 90 with a percentage praise of 90%. A store with 90 positives
and 10 negatives has a score of 80 with a percentage praise of 90%. Both have
10 non-positive feedback, hence the percentage praise acting as warning to a
buyer to check why this is by looking at the feedback.

As mentioned before, it really comes down to what the percentage praise is for.
In my view, it is there to give a potential buyer a quick impression of how much
of the feedback is not positive and not as an ego rating.

Under the "neutrals shouldn't count" view, all these stores would
have 100 feedback at 100%. If a buyer buys from a store with 100% feedback they
would probably assume that there is no need to check the feedback as it is 100%.

Bad assumption. A buyer should always check the feedback page.

  I'd prefer no percentage rating
at all, rather than a dodgy calculation that shows 100% in such circumstances.

The calculation is dodgy now.

At least with no percentage, there is no false impression that the store doesn't
have issues when in some cases there might be.

The current calculation gives a false impression that performance is worse than
it is.

It doesn't though. It tells a potential buyer how many (as a percentage)
buyers that leave feedback leave the store positive feedback.

Obviously some sellers are unhappy because they think their store is damaged
by an unwarranted neutral feedback, but I really don't think that is the
case. The percentage praise is essentially a quick reminder to check feedback,
not necessarily to leave the store. And to me, it is better to have an effective
warning system for buyers to use when looking at a store rather than an ego protection
system for sellers. That is, I see neutrals as not good service rather than seeing
them as not terrible service.

All well and good, but you cannot treat a neutral as a stand in for a negative,
which is what is being done now. Go ahead buyer, leave neutral feedback because
the transaction didn't warrant a negative, but we're going to tally it
up as a negative anyway.

It isn't treating a neutral as a negative. It is treating them both as not
positive.

I was just uploading used parts with printing or stickers. I know people want
them for finishing a bricklinked set. But this category is one I loathe. I
was contemplating removing the stickers and selling the parts because they take
up a lot of space, require a lot of time to list and I don't get very many
orders for them. This gives me an alterative option that I might try with a few
themes.

Sometimes I get a badly placed or incorrect part sticker that needs to be re-applied.
I use a blow-dryer to heat and soften the sticker. Then it comes off with all
of it's stickiness and I can re-apply more accurately or to the correct part.
I have saved stickers to a zip bag exterior and they are in great shape to re-apply.

Thanks,
Donna

As said in PM with FamilyBuild, you CAN define new and other payment methods
in Stripe (I tried) - like Alipay or Apple Pay, IDEAL, but as BrickLink only
requests/authorize VISA payments, those other payment methods are simply ignored
here.

The requirement states:

"Sticker sheets missing stickers must be listed as used."

To me that's vague enough to include re-applied peeled off stickers.

That’s talking about sticker sheets - so one would think the original sticker
sheet is included and some stickers are missing. It’s not talking about previously
applied stickers at all. It’s not vague, per say, just not addressing this issue.

If the intent is to allow only original sticker sheets with one or more missing
but otherwise unused stickers to be listed (as used) then the requirement should
say so. Otherwise I don't see an issue as long as there is an accurate description.

Also, what about high quality stickers that were applied to the wrong part?

What about high quality parts that are broken… i throw them out personally -
because i wouldn't be happy to receive it.

The part in your example is unusable. The sticker is not.

YES!! Finally!!

This has been asked for over and over and over for at least the last five years,
so it looks absolutely amazing to actually see it come into existence!

I just browsed a ton of pages just to look at the beauty of it all. Magnificent!
It makes finding images that are missing for certain colors or images that
need to be tweaked to look better light years easier to find. That will save
a lot of time for those that like to improve the look of the catalog.

It's the little things like this that make a huge difference to users: things
that fix, enhance, or simplify core functionality of the site. More of this,
please!

I am seriously ecstatic over here about this!

The current calculation gives a false impression that performance is worse than
it is.

Er, BL doesn’t make big announcements for new colours.

FYI, there’s three other new colours in 2024:

So this came up after i ordered a sticker sheet from a seller, not realizing
it was incomplete and receiving just one sticker that was obviously pulled off
a piece, shipped on a felt backer, and was dirty on the sticky side (which was
no longer sticky). I’m just having a hard time understanding if this is an intended
use case for stickers on BL (regardless of the condition i received my sticker
in).

Ah, I see. If the seller didn't add an extended description letting buyers
know that the sticker was used and then pulled off of a part and was unable
to be restuck, then that seller had a bad listing.

Sellers can list anything as used, but if it's unable to function how it's
intended to, then they have to describe that in the item's extended description.
Of course, used stickers are far more unlikely to be reused than parts,
gear, etc, so it's even more important for sellers to describe those accurately.

David

OK, I see that sticker sheets can be sold if incomplete as used: https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=102

I don't think selling stickers peeled off lego parts and sold as incomplete
sticker sheets should be a thing. To me, it seems misleading. They should be
listed on the parts they were found on as stickered parts. If that part isn't
in the catalog, add it. This is a lazy loophole that should be fixed.

Since LEGO stickers are not intended to be removed (they are not marketed as
reusable as far as I know), why can they be listed after removal from a part?
Doesn't make sense to me. I suppose you can list broken lego parts if they
are clearly marked that way, and maybe that's the justification, but why?

A sticker sheet is a physical thing. If the original sticker sheet from lego
is absent, then can a few peeled off stickers from that sticker sheet still be
called a sticker sheet? I don't believe expectations are being met by listing
peeled off stickers as used sticker sheets.

Please tell me why i'm wrong.

Look at my listing for the stickers I mentioned. Nothing misleading. Also if
you had an understanding of the complex assembly they were applied to would help.
Not just across 2 bricks. Take in account there were 6 sheets for sale priced
$12-$25 I figured someone would be happy to get these for the $6. If there were
individual sticker listings I would have used that but the way I did it is the
best option available.

Arg... my ipad ran out of juice and I lost my reply. Here it is in a nutshell:

You are not trying to be misleading, you are doing everything you can within
the confines of listing stickers to present the truth.

However, when one is buying a used sticker sheet, I don't think the assumption
is that the buyer will receive stickers that have already been stuck on parts
and then peeled off with no sticker sheet included. That's why peeled off
stickers are not mentioned at all on the condition listing help page. LEGO stickers
are not marketed as reusable and in most cases, they are not. Sticker backing
glue cannot be measured to guarantee stickiness.

Also, when taking a picture of the stickers, you can't post two photos showing
the front and back, so it's not actually full disclosure.

The limitation here is that there is no category for stickers outside the sticker
sheet (nor am I advocating for that). So that means being misleading is inherent
to listing stickers without a sticker sheet.

Hi there folks.

Its been a while and a bit.

But as of now, by the looks of it:

additional payment methods seem to be activated within stripe.

Please have a look in my store and see if there are these payment methods active:

IDEAL
GIROPAY

Also check out if these payment methods are widely active among bricklink stores.
By logging into stripe, search for payment methods or navigate to settingpayment

Here can you check and or turn on addional payment methods.

By the looks of it:

Thank you for opening this up bricklink.

Looking forward to hear from stores if these are widely active.

It’s not vague, per say, just not addressing this issue.

edk makes a good point:

"Carefully removed, adhesive stayed with the stickers, placed them on a waxy
backer
sheet, scanned an image and listed as used. I do not see a problem with this
method."

If there was a listing for just that sticker then, yes that makes sense, but
there isn’t. This would be listed as a used sticker sheet. Where’s the sticker
sheet in this equation. Was this the intention of sticker sheet listings?

Also, what about high quality stickers that were applied to the wrong part?

What about high quality parts that are broken… i throw them out personally -
because i wouldn't be happy to receive it.

It can be a complex problem/reason, you really have to get all information to

Set your shipping methods to manual this will force costumers to invoice

Thou without instant checkout you might get less orders. People don't want
to wait on the invoice. Someone knowledgeable can help you with setting up your
postage right.

The things that detract buyers are; minimum buys, Avg. lot values, and no instant
checkout.

That might be true for you. I'm an experienced buyer, and I'm well aware
of the procedures for manual checkout and waiting for an invoice.

It does not necessarily imply that I only want instant checkout, although it

Absolutely.

If you wish to leave a really neutral feedback, simply don't leave feedback.
But Neutral isn't neutral - it's a blank vote.

Still, the whole FB system could be changed, see my proposal.

What is misleading about it? They both have 10 non positive feedback out of 100,
so there is the warning from the percentage praise that the buyer should check
the feedback.

As mentioned before, it really comes down to what the percentage praise is for.
In my view, it is there to give a potential buyer a quick impression of how much
of the feedback is not positive and not as an ego rating.

If there are fives stores:

100 positive, 0 neutrals.

100 positive, 1 neutral.

100 positive, 5 neutrals.

100 positive, 10 neutrals.

100 positive, 50 neutrals.

Under the "neutrals shouldn't count" view, all these stores would
have 100 feedback at 100%. If a buyer buys from a store with 100% feedback they
would probably assume that there is no need to check the feedback as it is 100%.
I'd be annoyed if BL told me a seller was 100% yet had loads of non-positive
feedback that I should have been warned about. I'd prefer no percentage rating
at all, rather than a dodgy calculation that shows 100% in such circumstances.
At least with no percentage, there is no false impression that the store doesn't
have issues when in some cases there might be.

Of the fictional stores above, I'd buy from the first two without checking
feedback. I'd check the feedback comments for the third and fourth, and would
disregard the fifth without looking. For the third and fourth, if the neutrals
were all from one buyer, or all for apparently stupid reasons, I'd ignore
them. If there was a consistent pattern such as badly damaged or missing parts
but eventually refunded, I'd treat them more seriously.

a piece, shipped on a felt backer, and was dirty on the sticky side (which was
no longer sticky).

The requirement states:

"Sticker sheets missing stickers must be listed as used."

To me that's vague enough to include re-applied peeled off stickers.

edk makes a good point:

"Carefully removed, adhesive stayed with the stickers, placed them on a waxy
backer
sheet, scanned an image and listed as used. I do not see a problem with this
method."

Also, what about high quality stickers that were applied to the wrong part?

That would make more sense but curious why they wouldn’t then just let the normal
shipping option be shown in addition the the special one and instead have the
buyer choose an insurance checkbox that most would miss

Adding something like "Click to see feedback" under the feedback percentage
is sorely needed. I discovered the click-through accidentally. You are then shown
all feedback sorted by type and nothing is hidden.

There’s the “Feedback” tab, next to Shop, Terms, and Splash.  That’s exactly
where you’re led when you click just below the percentage.

Again, that would be fine but they also then need to change what the percentage
is called and probably also decide what the current percentage praise is being
shown for.

Right now it's called "Praise", an odd description even under the
current system.

Neutral is not praise, but it is still feedback. The percentage praise acts (or
should act) as a warning to buyers to check feedback if it is not 100%. For example,
if a store has 90 positive and 10 neutrals, I think that it should be flagged
up to buyers that the seller is probably not as good as a second store with 90
positives and no neutrals. Both stores would have an overall score of 90 and
if neutrals are ignored when determining the percentage praise, then they would
both have a 100% rating. However, there is a clear difference between the stores.
Should buyers be warned to check feedback in such circumstances, or should it
be hidden in the way the rating is calculated, pretending that both stores have
the same customer feedback.

Currently, if Store A has 90 positives and 10 neutrals and Store B has 90 positives
and 10 negatives, the feedback percentage is the same for both. This is misleading.

I also think it is important to remember that an imperfect score of less than
100% does not mean that buyers cannot or will not buy from a particular seller,
but the percentage praise is there to suggest to buyers that they check the feedback
if the feedback is not all positive. They can then judge whether it is important
to them.

Adding something like "Click to see feedback" under the feedback percentage
is sorely needed. I discovered the click-through accidentally. You are then shown

I imagine that fee is for tracking to prove it was delivered, as in 'insurance'
against the buyer saying it didn't arrive rather than real insurance for
damage or loss. Here, insurance is relatively cheap compared to the contents
value, so long as you have already factored in / paid for tracking.

Ask the buyer to remove the NSS now that they have been refunded. And also upload

respond, stop list them so they cannot do it again in future.

Right, I guess it’s a two part question:
1. is selling incomplete sticker sheets allowed?
2. Is selling stickers pulled off pieces allowed?

So this came up after i ordered a sticker sheet from a seller, not realizing
it was incomplete and receiving just one sticker that was obviously pulled off
a piece, shipped on a felt backer, and was dirty on the sticky side (which was
no longer sticky). I’m just having a hard time understanding if this is an intended

I think i’ve had sticker sheets removed from my store that were just incomplete,
but I cant remember for sure.

BL may remove an incomplete sticker sheet if it was listed as New. I've had
this happen, list as used with a clear description and an image of the exact
sheet you are selling.
I just parted out a used large Technics car

Set No: 8649 Name: Nitro Menace
*
8649-1 (Inv) Nitro Menace
622 Parts, 2005
Sets: Racers: Power Racers
that has a lot of stickers
applied across multiple parts (I don/t think the stickered assys. are listed).
Carefully removed, adhesive stayed with the stickers, placed them on a waxy backer
sheet, scanned an image and listed as used. I do not see a problem with this
method.

See pic… and it stays this way during checkout, and I have the option to choose
insurance in the end.

realize the impact of their feedback. Honestly, I would even care if it actually
fell off at some point. So here’s my suggestion:

Neutral feedback to fall off of the percentage calculation after 500 orders or

Negative feedback to fall off of the percentage calculation after 1000 orders
or 1 year.

I picked 500 and 1000 because they are substantial numbers

There should be room for redemption.

This issue as been around for years and the users opinions are almost one sided.
I remember one debate were a very few sellers were opposed to a change, and they
all had in common, no neutral feedbacks in their record. Hopefully their opinions
would change once they would get one unwarrented neutral.

Bricklink, for an unknown reason, doesn't seems to want to move on this.
There's a ton of suggestion posts like this one. We also have now a group
of sellers that are consulted on ways to improve the website, and yet no news
of this been address. Did they address it and it was again ignored by Russell
and friends ?

It's just mindbuggling that it wasn't been address yet.

Excellent spot.

It's nice to see small but important things like this get sorted out.

Focusing on developing/fixing the basics and the core of the site is long overdue.

The set is from my childhood. I'm sure about 4623 because there was no other
set with a white 4623 in my childhood LEGO box, but unfortunately I don't
have the original string anymore.

So..** I'm a seller **

It's SO UNBELIEVABLE, I didn't get any mail from the BL team saying there
was a major issue since the variant merge...
Please, has anyone noticed this issue?
are there any other bugs??

Thanks!
Soon

There hasn't been a major issue or there would be a mutiny here on the Forum.
I know it's frustrating to deal with errors in your inventory, but consider
the bigger picture. There are 4,800 Dark Brown 3062 for sale on the site, but
the only problem was with your shop? The number and name were updated on Feb
1. No items were merged.

Take a breath and check your info again. I do hope you find the issue!

LOL
Hello!
as you can see, I do have other things to do than working on/for Bricklink/Lego,
so I can't waste my time answering everyone..
But thanks for the very useful tips as to taking deep breaths LOL!

ANOTHER ISSUE / PROBLEM I just noticed in my inventory (both B, A, C!!) : personal
remarks for new items disappeared (between the 24th of February and.. yesterday.)
So, NO, THIS IS NOT SOMETHING I DID WRONG ; PROOF ; These personal remarks are
STILL WRITTEN IN BRICKSTORE (in the bsx files I still have on my computer) !!

This is a message to help other sellers, who can't waste their time searching
uselessly for items...
I wish you a very nice day.
regards
Soon.

I don't know if the suggestion includes polybags, metal boxes and blister
packs, but I can imagine that members also want to be able to search for that,
I for instance searched for metal box once. And I searched for foil pack many
times. If we would change names, I would add something like 'gift', but
not remove the existing packing. I would also prefer to add co brand Blue Ocean
to all sets.

I saw an activity book with a cardboard box attached, maybe a future replacement
for magazines' blister packs, who knows.

Unfortunately you have to go to the co brand list first to be able to search
for them.

PS and it's very hard not to destroy the magazine when taking of these sets,
even the metal boxes are glued and magazines are already damaged in the store

is my fault for ordering the incorrect part. I have sent him pictures of what
I ordered and what he sent me and he still says I was wrong as he checked his
items with the inventory when he parted out the sets. I believe it was set 42129,
as this set was released in two versions, but the catalog and inventory does
not show this.

It can be any of those sets that comes with first variation of this part (and
in later production, those set could have come with the other variation)

He refuses to accept any responsibility or to check his remaining
stock.
In the meantime I have items I do not want as they are not suitable for some
of my mocs and unable to get any replies from the seller. I did NSS him but have
removed that and now no further contact from him. I am tempted to make a PayPal
claim.

Did you remove NSS yourself? If so, why?

I can see that it wasnt totally his fault that the inventory is not correct but
he needs to better check the items he is shipping match the items in the order.
I feel the language difference could be part of the problem, him not fully understanding
what I am trying to explain to him.

It is indeed his fault but a seller on bricklink has a harder job thank lego
company:
- sellers dont have any automated machine,
- sellers sells millions of parts each comes in variations of mold like this
battery box and variation of color like light gray vs. Light bluish gray. Over
the past years each new variation replced the previous one. The lego company’s
job is easier: they just sell what they just produced: the latest variation!
- sellers on BL have to check the condition of used parts.

So if a variation is important to you, i advice you to message the seller before
you order, and/or before you pay and of you don’t get a response, move on to
another seller. Indeed, most buyers dont care about variations of parts. This
is ehat i do as a buyer, specially for high $ orders or international ones.

He has communicated further with me since, hopefully we can sort something out.

You have the option to file a claim on PayPal. The best that can happen is that
you return everything in your order to get a full refund. But this means you
have to pay return shipping to Germany. You will be out return shipping costs
to Germany and the seller will be out shipping costs to you (plus PayPal fees
that won't be reversed to him).
So this is question: does this variation of part important enough for you to
pay and return?

As long as the seller says that they've been removed from parts and lists
the stickers as used, then I think it's within the rules. However, I can't
imagine anyone wanting to by such stickers, unless they're really old or
rare ones.
