Hi Jonas,

I myself have wondered about this part in our BrickLink inventories for several
years. Confusion seems to have come from images that did not show the differences
clearly enough.

  Hello everybody,

before I (maybe) do some proper requests, I'd like to clarify the following
issue regarding part 2739a/2739b in black.

Part No: 2739a Name: Technic, Link 1 x 6 without Stoppers
*
2739a Technic, Link 1 x 6 without Stoppers
Parts: Technic, Link

Set 8110 came with 2739b in August 2011. That is correct: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=5134871
In November 2011, 2739a was added as alternate. That is correct, too: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=5256458

Set No: 8110  Name: Mercedes-Benz Unimog U 400
*
8110-1 (Inv) Mercedes-Benz Unimog U 400
2048 Parts, 2011
Sets: Technic: Model: Construction

According to the catalog, five sets from 2012-2014 still had 2739b. I think that's
wrong because...

- I tried to find images or videos showing 2739b, but didn't find a single
one.
- All those sets were inventoried by the same person and always with Source:
Parts List.
- The following sets from 2012 and 2013 have 2739a as regular and these sets
were inventoried with Source: Sealed Set Contents.

Set No: 9450 Name: Epic Dragon Battle
*
9450-1 (Inv) Epic Dragon Battle
885 Parts, 7 Minifigures, 2012
Sets: NINJAGO: Rise of the Snakes

Set No: 9392 Name: Quad Bike
*
9392-1 (Inv) Quad Bike
199 Parts, 2012
Sets: Technic: Model: Off-Road

Set No: 70708 Name: Hive Crawler
*
70708-1 (Inv) Hive Crawler
539 Parts, 3 Minifigures, 2013
Sets: Space: Galaxy Squad

Images of new sets with 2739a:

Set No: 9398  Name: 4 x 4 Crawler
*
9398-1 (Inv) 4 x 4 Crawler
1327 Parts, 2012
Sets: Technic: Model: Off-Road
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=5549146

Set No: 9396  Name: Helicopter
*
9396-1 (Inv) Helicopter
1056 Parts, 2012
Sets: Technic: Model: Airport
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=5583833

Set No: 9393  Name: Tractor
*
9393-1 (Inv) Tractor
353 Parts, 2012
Sets: Technic: Model: Farm
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=5706003

Set No: 42005 Name: Monster Truck
*
42005-1 (Inv) Monster Truck
329 Parts, 2013
Sets: Technic: Model: Off-Road
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=5886402

Set No: 42021  Name: Snowmobile
*
42021-1 (Inv) Snowmobile
186 Parts, 2014
Sets: Technic: Model: Off-Road
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=6026821

Summary: I think 2739b never appeared in any set from 2012 and later, so I suggest
to delete it from the inventories of 9398, 9396, 9393, 42005 and 42021.

Regards,
Jonas

  Hello,
I just restarted Bricksync, the synchronization took place but to my surprise,
it was reversed. All the changes made over the last two months via Bricklink
have disappeared and Bricksync has taken inventory of Brickowl as a reference.
I end up with a HUGE inventory problem. That never happened to me before ....
Usually when I run bricksync, it does sync commands and mate those of Bricklink
and Brickowl. He then uses Bricklink as a reference to update the changes on
Brickowl and not the other way around?
Is there a way back on Bricksync?

If you had a solution to this problem, I would be extremely grateful.

Lancelot (France)

Yes, use a backup.

Close bricksync, move a good backup to the data folder and name it bricksync.inventory.bsx
(you can add a .bak to the old one). Open bricksync and type sync.

Do not run bricksync when your bricklink store is closed. Bricksync doesn't
just malfunction, something was done wrong, just try to find out what happened
and learn from it for the future. It's a great program just takes some time
to get used to. Always know you have backups upon backups if an issue arises.
It takes a backup before making any changes.

The author is also amazing if you run into an issue as well.

Have a look at a couple of your recent Bricksync backups in the data folder,
you should be able to use one to roll back your inventory.

  Hi all.

I managed to pick up one of these sets today, and I remember seeing an article
on-line about how this would combine the playability of the LEGO parts with the
Japanese love of working with paper, so I snaffled it.

Set No: e1a1401 Name: MUJI Basic Set
*
e1a1401-1 (Inv) MUJI Basic Set
64 Parts, 2011
Sets: Muji

Now, looking through the contents, I note that the original submitter did NOT
include the paper sheets, nor is there a picture of the instruction sheet/booklet

Would it really be in the interests of the catalogue to include this via the
inventory?

Yes, very much so. The inventory would include the original paper sheets as they
came in the set. These would need to be added to the Paper category of the Parts
catalog. Any cut-out paper designs could also be added to the Paper category
of the Parts catalog, but these items would end up in the Counterparts section
of the set inventory.

  There are extra elements as well, which I will add shortly

Fantastic.

  I'm just concerned about the paper elements.

There are 8 different designs to be built, and the first design had been cut
out (badly), and, to my surprise, a purposely made hole puncher had been made
for use with this line, but wasn't included, so an ordinary one had been
used, which shows, as the holes are not in the right places....

Can the Cat admin(s) chime in over this?

Thanks in advance!
