New to this. I just ordered over 200 bricks from a seller. I want to place

Any way besides doing it one by one?

The easiest way to manage is to enable the 'Items in order on Wantlist'
icon in the settings of the orders Placed page. A little scroll will appear.
It takes you to all bought items in that order.
Select the bought items and move all bought items into a new Bought Wantlist.
Then you can do a new search for the remaining items.

  Guys,

Appreciate both your responses as they shed some much needed light. It is a little
strange that BrickStock doesn't seem to have a Help section explaining all
this.

HI there sorry I missed this thread earlier

Please bear in mind that Teup's comments do not really apply to the UK.

Well.... it does. I'm just saying that the averge price that you see here
in Bricklink is not equal to the average price in Brickstock. These do not match.
Parting out a set at average price on Bricklink will result in you having higher
priced items than parting out that same set at average price in Brickstock.

Whether you wish to match the price of other stores including VAT, or whether
you want to compare yourself to their prices ex VAT... yeah, here you're
right, those are all your own business decisions.

But the fact is that the Bricklink priceguide does not match the Brickstock priceguide.
It's important to be aware of this. Pricing at the Brickstock average is
pricing below the Bricklink average.

As I said or at least implied - average pricing in the UK includes VAT and once
you adjust the downloaded price in Brickstock it matches as close as can be expected.
Nothing is perfect and Brickstock could use work on this but so could Bricklink.
The currency conversion is a bigger issue than vat as it applies to all apart
from the USA. Bricklink could do a lot more there and haven't.

Do USA prices include sales tax ? That differs depending on whether you ship
in state or out of state. So the whole pricing scenario based on Bricklink is
a bit shaky - it should be used as a guideline only not a 'real figure'.

Do the last 6 months sales prices include tzes of any kind or is it net. If something
sells at 10p that is the price that should be reflected. If you are vat registered
and can claim back the vat go for it - but for the majority of UK sellers that
is not the position - what you see is what you pay and that is what your cost
is. Pricing needs to be based on cost + not some weird price guide which no one
fully understands. They can tell you how it works but when you look at it you
only see a single figure not how that figures has been made up.

Again for example 1000 units sold at 8p one month but 10p the next month so average
is 9p, but that is not remotely accurate. If the currency conversion rate has
fluctuated then they might be selling at a totally different price, or the same
price.

The price guide needs major re-working and I do not believe that is going to
happen. It currently is a very crude tool which has to be manipulated to get
anywhere near reality.

If the design of the system is anywhere near what it should be there is only
one table with prices and those are converted from an exchange rate table each
time they are displayed, Somehow I doubt that.

Well, I guess that's all true enough. Some take the priceguide as just a
guide, some ignore it, some take it as some holy prescription. I tend to be kind
of the latter type... but that's not because I think these numbers are inherently
all so correct (you pointed out some of its shortcomings) but I just remember
that when I was a buyer I'd check the priceguide on everything and buy things
depending on them being at or below average. So it's more a presentation
matter that I want my prices to line up with that reference than that I give
that reference any "scientific" credit. So the priceguide is my starting point
and from there I decide what to buy. Instead of first buying, and then based
on what I spent deciding what my prices should be.

But that's just a personal decision of course. You could invent any kind
of pricing policy for yourself and there are good arguments for all of them.
Maybe in some of them it is actually a blessing that Brickstock downloads the
ex.VAT value.

But in what ever case, no matter what your pricing policy is, and no matter whether
you are VAT registered, no matter if you're a buyer or a seller, if you live
in the area where Bricklink displays prices including VAT for, for all these
people, it is just important to know this difference: priceguide on BL includes
VAT, priceguide downloaded through Brickstock excludes VAT. Then you can do whatever
you want with that information. But knowing it is important as it prevents us
from sleepwalking into a race to the bottom.

Ah what a grand place to start re-developing

(I think something might freeze over before that happens)

HI there sorry I missed this thread earlier

Please bear in mind that Teup's comments do not really apply to the UK. There
are very few stores in the UK which are registered for VAT. In addition to that
if you are not registered for VAT, and we presume you are not you are still paying
vat for your Lego and the total price that you pay should be reflected as your
cost - not a VAT exclusive price.

Example - you buy a large cup of 2 x 4 bricks from your local Lego store and
pay £11.24 for that cup. That is a VAT inclusive price, so the cost of your bricks
is 11p each. Now you wish to list those on Bricklink - you obviously need to
cover your costs so your price is based on cost + (whatever margin you wish to
set). You do not reduce the 11p per brick to 9p and use the same process against
9p - that would be financial suicide.

Other EU countries have different guidelines for VAT - many you have to register
if you have a business with no real threshold.

The UK prices that you see in the price guide on Bricklink contain VAT - you
can be sure of that.

What isn't good is the currency conversion factor between Bricklink and Brickstock
- that requir3es a lot more fine tuning than taking a 10% inc/dec. We have been
usint Brickstock for almost 10 years now (pre Brickstock was Brickstore) and
have had no problems with pricing. Of course we have our own way of doing it
but if you look at it carefully and know where you want your prices to be you
can use it and it is much quicker and easier than using Bricklink - although
with sellers tools coming (maybe) who knows what will happen there.

There really isn't a single way to use the product - like everything in life
you have to make adjustments - especially to get where you want it to be. We
have learned by trial and error and experimentation how to use it and so can
you - it just takes time and patience. We also have our own external system where
we have tracked prices for nearly 10 years which helps us to get where we want
to be.

  Hello all,

I have a couple of questions on Brickstock which someone might know the answer
to.

My store uses EURO and in Brickstock I have ticked Currency, Use the local currency
$1 = €1.

I have changed my asking price in Brickstock to the Last 6 months sales (average).

Question 1: Is my setting local currency $1 = €1 correct? I am not trying to
convert my store currency as it is in Euro now and I wish it remains so.

Question 2: Is the revalued asking price the Last 6 month sales average in Euro?
I read other forum posts that stated that BrickStock only uses sales data in
USD to compute its averages.

Question 3: if indeed the above is correct (in relation to USD and sales data)
is there any means to determine the actual average 6 month Sales data for the
World or European market?

Thanks for any help with either of these queries.

The prices you see in BrickScout are in Dollars.
So, if you let BS set your prices to the Average, you see (with 1 = 1) Dollar
prices.

In BS under "edit"-"price"-"incr or decr" you have to lower your prices with
about 10% to come to the Euro prices, as shown in BrickLink.

....but it´s never as accurate as you would like it to be, the DollarEuro
exchange rate is fluctuating all the time.

Klaas

Brickstock prices are excluding VAT.. that is why I definitely recommend NOT
using Brickstock for pricing if you are in the EU. You'll never be able to
retrieve the true priceguide prices that you see on Bricklink, no matter what
conversion factor you enter.

(And I still have no response from the author of Brickstock about this....)

Yes, fill out the manual section, but a few seconds after you go to the next
screen it will ask if you want to use Lego's data and when you say yes it
dumps it all in. It is the list of possible pieces you can order from Lego when
your set is incomplete and it often leaves a few pieces out, but it gets you
a long way down the road.

They are both in the catalog. If you are talking about providing inventories,
no one has them reserved or pending.

Thanks for the info; yes, I was referring to inventories. I've since discovered
how to figure this question out on my own. I'll look into providing them.

Is there a way to submit an XML file using the Lego part+color codes as used
in the set instruction inventories, instead of itemid and color?

E.g., using "3x 614101" instead of "3x white 4073"?

Not that I know of. But if you just open the thing up it is going to practically
fill the whole form out from Lego.com's info. You'll need to add the
stickers and extras and check some part variants, perhaps add a few new pieces,
and then check that everything is there. You aren't going to need to type
in every part.

I wasn't aware of that, it does sound like a lot less work. Does it appear
as an option here after I reserve a set for inventory?

https://www.bricklink.com/catalogInvAdd.asp

I apologize for my ignorance, I've not tried to help out before.

How do I add my orders and everything I have brought to my own inventory. So
I know exactly what I have . I seem to be recounting bricks over and over to
check and see what I have. It would be so much easier to look at my inventory
and see and know exactly what I have. I don't have a shop on here .my inventory

Thanks in advance

Peter

Perhaps this also works:
On your Orders placed page download the order to xml and upload the file to your
inventory.

  Hi all

I have downloaded an XML version of my inventory via Brickstock.

When I open it I do not see any way to specify a set's sub-condition ie incomplete

Is it possible or does BrickStock have no way to specify a sub-condition.

Does anyone know?

No sub-condition currently in Brickstock

Or will I have to manually remove each item from my inventory item by item?

Please help!!! 😩

I believe you can part out "-1" quantity of an item and it will remove the quantities
from 1 part out. Same goes for -2,-3, etc.

Thanks @brikomania

That worked charm!

Saved me from a looooong evening of editing.

I have found all 5 bags in the set Palpatine's arrest. One of the bags

without having to open the other bags for a complete inventory.

You could look up the instructions and go through each step in that bag number
piece-by-piece. Not the most efficient but should work but excludes the extra
parts.

This will only change what is shown on your Bricklink account. You'll have
to destroy all the Legos manually.

I've found that it's best swallow them whole!

Hello Pam it is very easy to do - just go to your inventory page and underneath
the title " items in my inventory " you will in white letters see " category
" click the box in front of this - this will put a tick in the boxes of all
of your inventory then simply scroll down to the " Update My Inventory: " section
near the bottom of the page click the box " delete my items " scroll down to
the bottom and click on " submit changes " and thats it done - be warned though
once you do this there is no recovering this information - it is final and your
inventory is gone forever - I hope this helps kind regards Mark.

Thank you

Select all at the top, it should check all boxes if you select that one in the
header.

Then scroll down and select the "delete items circle", and click submit changes

I have a few stickered parts, acquired second-hand, from sets 60009-1, 75872-1
and 75051-1. I'd like to be able to inventory them properly in my collection,
but all or most of the stickered part catalog entries for these sets have not
been created yet on BrickLink. I could submit catalog additions for all of them,
but I'm a bit hesitant since I've never done that before on BrickLink,
and I don't have all the stickered parts for each set. Are there any of
you guys out there who have one or more of these sets and could submit the stickered
parts? It would be a great help. (Otherwise I'll get around eventually
to figuring out how to do it myself.)

Thank-you Marek! I can't seem to be able to add lines from here though, that's
the part that concerns me. When I try to do an add from the other way, it says
it can't since it's still pending. But, under Edit Inv I do see now another
column called EXT. If the line entry shows as Type R (Regular), do I add the
extras in the column EXT or is that something else? I thought I needed a new
line for the extras.

You can add extras two ways, entering quantity of extras in column EXT beside
certain part. Or manualy by the forum below the pending inventory (screenshots
attached )

By the way, is there a link to information about the auto-population magic that
seemed to happen when I put in the set #? I'm confused how it seemed to accurately
pull all but 2 items (which it had me confirm type and colour for those). Because,
the minifigures also show as separate parts rather than the complete assembly
(as I've put in the notes on that entry). I really apologize for all of the
questions; this will seem to basic to me once I get a couple of run-throughs
but I think I'm missing some bits and pieces based on the information guides
I'm reading.

Information for autofill is harvest from official LEGO inventories. Frequentlly
LEGO inventory isn't fully complete or our dtabase missing PCC (Part Color
Codes) for new parts, then those parts arent put to the inventory. So after autofill,
inventory have to be checked and corrected. LEGO never puts whole minifigs in
their inventories that is why you have separate parts for minifigs now. LEGO
also dosn't distinguish some parts variants in this inventories. How looks
official LEGO inventory you can see also here for example, your set for example:
https://brickset.com/sets/30393-1/Steve-and-Creeper-Set, check tab "Parts". You
can see it also in the LEGO replacment parts service https://www.lego.com/en-us/service/replacementparts

I am guessing you want to set up your own web shop, and use BrickLink as a back-end
for all the info. If you then also want to handle your own orders and not have
those flow through BL - that won't happen. It would be a blatant violation
of the ToS.

Hello no would like to use prestashop for the backend.
I like to sell on bricklick and i like to sent the orders to the Prestashop an
make in Presta the invoice.... I would like to automatically submit orders from
Bricklink to Prestashop. Furthermore, I would like to link the articles of Bricklink
with Prestashop or automatically do an automatic import in Prestashop, so that
I do not have to create every article in Prestashop

You'd either have to do manual downloads of the catalog items and your received
orders, or you have to look into the BrickLink API. The last option will require
quite a bit of programmer's elbow grease:

Bricklink to Prestashop. Furthermore, I would like to link the articles of Bricklink
with Prestashop or automatically do an automatic import in Prestashop, so that
I do not have to create every article in Prestashop

My trays are lettered horizontally by section, and numbered vertically, two columns
of trays per letter section. So A1-A10 are in column one, A11-A20 are in column
two.

And that here is why you should have started numbering from zero: you columns
would have been 00-09, 10-19, etc.
First digit = column, second digit = row.

Of course, the day you add a row, you count from 00 to 0A.
And then you can go up to 36 rows and 36 columns, all with a two “digits” number.

All neat and well ordered. Yessir.

Well, each rack segment holds 60 trays. There is space above each rack for (4)
58qt totes, as well as about a 4" high space for large, flat storage, this is
where I store large instruction books and some large set boxes. Technically that
area is A00, I suppose. There is also space to hold an additional (4) 58qt totes
of bulk storage below each rack as well. Sections hold 20 trays, and are labelled
across A-I, 3 sections per rack segment, 3 rack segments currently, total. These
house the bulk of my New parts stock.

Bin cups in the trays are two sizes, and are moveable and configurable to handle
most any sized stock. In addition to that are 3 rolling aluminum racks that each
hold one whole section's worth of working stock trays each, to take stuff
from the sorting room table to the stockroom, and 6 rolling carts that hold (8)
58qt totes of Used, unsorted stock each, for mobility in taking stock in and
out of the sorting room. It's a cozy little operation!

I am guessing you want to set up your own web shop, and use BrickLink as a back-end
for all the info. If you then also want to handle your own orders and not have
those flow through BL - that won't happen. It would be a blatant violation
of the ToS.

If I misunderstood, you might want to explain some more what you are trying to
accomplish.

Very nice setup, and a great help for those who are moving or thinking of moving,
into a larger inventory situation. Mine uses slightly larger trays, same type
of arrangement, but the trays are 2' deep x 1' wide x 4" tall, and I
use bin cups in them. I notate drawer number(s) a lot is in, as it's easy
enough to grab a whole tray and scan through in a few seconds to see which bin
cup they are in.

My trays are lettered horizontally by section, and numbered vertically, two columns
of trays per letter section. So A1-A10 are in column one, A11-A20 are in column
two. And while the whole thing is kind of free form, I try to maintain colors
in a column, and things like slopes in row 9-10, 1x plates in 7-8, 2x plates
5-6, etc. Thanks for the video!

You can import the XML code from rebrickable into excel using the developer tap,
and then fill out the pricing column, the columns may need to be re-mapped depending
on what it looks like from rebrickable, then export (also on the developer tab)
the new spreadsheet to XML that is 'upload friendly' for bricklink. Follow
the rules below to make sure the XML is upload friendly.

I have removed the section in Catalog Help that discouraged the submission of
SOA (sticker over assembly) parts. All legitimate stickered assemblies will now
be accepted, including those where the sticker is the only point of connection.

Sets: Town: Classic Town: Construction

My stickers do not correspond to catalog sticker sheet

Part No: 6361stk01 Name: Sticker Sheet for Set 6361 - Double Arrow (190145)
*
6361stk01 Sticker Sheet for Set 6361 - Double Arrow (190145)
Parts: Sticker Sheet
is it multiple version? I have the same number 190145 on my stickers

As you can see at the attached picture (this picture is not from my set) the
stickers is the same as this part.

Part No: 4215pb015 Name: Panel 1 x 4 x 3 with Box and Arrow Left Pattern (Sticker) - Set 6624
*
4215pb015 Panel 1 x 4 x 3 with Box and Arrow Left Pattern (Sticker) - Set 6624
Parts: Panel, Decorated

The Arrow is "Left Pattern" on both parts.

If we say the stickers is only attached on "Panel 1 x 4 x 3"

Do need I add a new part:
"Panel 1 x 4 x 3 with Box and Arrow Left Pattern (Sticker) - Set 6361"

Or we modify

Part No: 4215pb015 Name: Panel 1 x 4 x 3 with Box and Arrow Left Pattern (Sticker) - Set 6624
*
4215pb015 Panel 1 x 4 x 3 with Box and Arrow Left Pattern (Sticker) - Set 6624
Parts: Panel, Decorated
- To remove note (both parts are the same on set 6361-1)
- To change set on part name

PS: I hope you can understand what I have in my mind

They are both in the catalog. If you are talking about providing inventories,
no one has them reserved or pending.

Thanks for the info; yes, I was referring to inventories. I've since discovered
how to figure this question out on my own. I'll look into providing them.

I think it's possible this way:
Click the add to Wantlist button on the order details page or after checkout.
Or add the items in Wantlist icon in the settings of the orders Placed page.
Download the Wantlist and upload it to your inventory.

There are links on that page to the instructions. Be sure you use Manual Upload,
and take advantage of the autofill when the screen pops up. Any other questions,
please ask.

Hi,

Thanks, I did that

Now, two problems:

1) I "reserved" the set - how can I set it free as it looks like I cannt proceed
(see below)

2) There already is an inventory that has been added by somebody else, but
a) some of the parts added before are not available and marked red
b) some of the parts do not match the code I see in the Inventory

I understand I could edit the inventory provided by someone else - but it looks
like he/she did manage to somehow associate a correct picture in the "LEGO guide"
shown in the left column

Then there is the "big yellow wheel" that some seems not to be known to bricklink
at all. Can this be?

Yes a new set can have new parts.

The partial inventory you are looking at is not someone else's attempt.
That's the list of pieces that Lego.com has on the page where you can request
pieces that were missing from your set. It auto-uploads to help you get started.

Hello,

I recently purchased the "SDCC2018-2: Black Lightning" set. I then went on Brickset
to add it to my collection, but no minifig is listed for the set. I proceeded
to send them a message so they could fix this error, but they told me they rely
on Bricklink for their minifig inventory.
That's why I'm posting a message here. I noticed that there are two entries
for Black Lightning on Bricklink : comcon056-1 for the full set and sh521 for
the minifig. But these two entries are not linked one to another.
Could someone in the admin team link them?

Thanks a lot!

Do you have an original copy of the set?

Yes

If you opened it when it was sealed and have been careful with the parts, you
could do the inventory yourself and use Sealed Set Contents as the source.

Most of the data is autofilled for you when you use the "Manual" form:

https://www.bricklink.com/catalogInvAdd.asp

After that it's just a question of adding some minifigs and extras, and checking
the inventory against the parts that actually came in your set.

I got the set used, so can't guarantee 100% accuracy (Looks like it complete,
even comes with extra parts).

Also the whole 'catalog add or change' features confuse me, so that's
why I posted the parts list from the instructions, so someone whos used to doing
that can submit the parts forum.

-Fred

I answer to my question
The box on my panel stickers is not the same as

Part No: 4215pb015 Name: Panel 1 x 4 x 3 with Box and Arrow Left Pattern (Sticker) - Set 6624
*
4215pb015 Panel 1 x 4 x 3 with Box and Arrow Left Pattern (Sticker) - Set 6624
Parts: Panel, Decorated

The box look more higher (less square)

  Dear community,

The inventory list at bricklink for 5804 (Belville witch's cottage) states
the inclusion of 1 trans-red plate, round 1x1 straight side (4037). However when
reading the instructions, it seems that 2 could be included: 1 at the top of
the yellow bottle and 1 underneath the skeleton head inside the globe. However,
this is difficult to see. Can anyone help here?

Thanks,

Pieter

Good catch! Yes, it looks like their should definitely be two of this part in
the set, one underneath the skeleton head and one on the trans-yellow 1x1 cone.
I have attached an image of the last picture of the fully built set from the
instructions showing the two plates circled.

I will update the inventory accordingly. Thanks for bringing this to our attention!

Cheers,
Randy

I just part out 5000 parts and now they disapear.

I just use part out function from a set and it did add all the parts and price
to my inventory.

I just reload my store page to see 308,386 parts but 2 minutes later its back
to 302,722 and all the new part are not there anymore. They are not in stockroom
they are just not there.

Anybody else ever got that problem?

Those parts appear in the inventories of figures. You can click the Break Minifigs
button at the top of an inventory page to have all the figure parts appear along
with the other items in the inventory if desired.

I've come cross a couple of discrepancies with different sets today. Parts
that are identified as being part of a set from the parts page did not show up
in the set's inventory page. Two examples:

The parts page for 15444 Brick, Modified 1 x 1 x 2 with Square Hole indicates
that it is included in set 70808 Super Cycle Chase, but when I look at the inventory
for that set, it's not listed.

The parts page for 15429 Cat Tail indicates that it is included in set 41067,
but it is not listed on the inventory page for that set.

Is this only happening to me, or are others seeing the same discrepancies?

It doesn't matter. It is quite common situation. In our inventory system
alternate variant has always the same quantity, because frequently in set's
copies ratio of part variants can vary, some can have only one variant of part,
some as your copy can have mix of two variants and some copies will have 2, other
3, another 4 etc. of one variant and respectively 8, 7, 6 of other variant, so
we would be overwhelmed by many possible combinations.

and I found out that there were "mixed" 2 types of one part:

2 parts (tan):

*
4865 Panel 1 x 2 x 1
Parts: Panel
8 parts (tan):

Part No: 4865b Name: Panel 1 x 2 x 1 with Rounded Corners
*
4865b Panel 1 x 2 x 1 with Rounded Corners
Parts: Panel

instead of 10 of one type only.

I think that putting a note for the sellers to be careful
about that "mix" in the Game would be helpful.

Agnes

In this inventory second variant is in the alternate section. This way in the
inventory is showed that in this set both variants can occur. No other notes
is needed.

BTW Are you able to check rest of the inventory. Parts count on box is 4057.
Currently in this inventory we have 4056 parts. Is there missing something more?

Sure as soon as i will end all the steps (I have little time for legoing unfortunately)

Set completed: at the end my extra parts list has this differences: no 43093
(axle pin with friction blu); 1x3713 (gray tech bush) instead of 2; 4x3713 (red
tech bush) instead of 5.

Also, judging by your position, you wouldn't like my guidelines.

But the sticker sheets were clearly not intended to be included as extra parts
and don't appear often enough to justify including them as extra parts.

There are two schools of thought on this and good arguments can definitely be
made for both positions. You have presented one side well and I will present
the other side:

1. Frequency of appearance is not currently the deciding factor in the
inclusion of an extra part in a set inventory. Should it be? I don't believe
so. How could you reasonably set a quantity of appearances before an extra is
allowed into an inventory?

2. I've never heard a convincing explanation of why any extra parts
are included in any sets, although I've certainly heard a number of theories.
Extra sticker sheets certainly don't appear to be consistent extras, but
should intentionality on the part of TLG be the deciding factor on including
extras in an inventory? I don't believe so, or at least not until we can
conclusively define (based on convincing evidence) the circumstances regarding
extra parts and their appearance in sets.

3. It is possible that extra sticker sheet extras are more common than
any of us realize, even if only packing errors. If we're not keeping any
records of their appearance in sets, then how would we truly know?

4. Extra sticker sheets fit the definition of extra parts as well as
any other extra part does. They appear in some sets and not in others. Should
we base decisions on extra parts on anything other than the fact that they came
in a set and were extra? I don't believe so.

But, perhaps Marek and Randy can produce some guidelines for us on how extra
sticker sheets should be handled in set inventories considering the positions
we've outlined.
