I am making a MOC that has a lot of internal bricks that will not be seen. In
my want list I choose not applicable for the pieces. When I go to do a search
it chooses that part all as one color.

Is there any way to set this up to use mixed colors? Also is there a way to search
for a store that has a certain amount of a specific part across all colors?

No, you can add the same part in multiple colors to your Wantlist.

Are you saying:
1. You have one WL, with part A & part B (& …) in colour N/A and BL chooses the
same colour for all the parts.
2. You have multiple WL, with part A in colour N/A in both, and BL chooses one
colour for all the WLs.

(1) is just “bad luck.”  The algorithm chooses different colours for me.

(2) is “normal”: the lots are combined for the search.

Well, considering we (at least I) have no idea how the colours to fulfill N/A
are chosen¹, I’d encourage you to exclude the N/A lots from your searches / for
Auto-select, and to only look for them once you have candidate stores for the
rest of your parts.
(You can do that:
— by not selecting them in your WL before hiting Buy All (which will then be
“Buy N Selected,”
— or by moving the parts to another WL,
— or using the Wanted Items tab on the left of the Buy page.)

¹ A simple test shows it’s not the cheapest colour in the store.  It’s not the
cheapest in the Price Guide.  It’s not the lot with the highest quantity in the
store.  It’s not the oldest in the store. It seems totally random!  The only
good thing is that it’s not the most expensive either!

I am saying that I have a single part, say 2x4 Brick, in my want list with N/A
color and quantity 300. When I do a search it chooses the same color for all
the quantity. I was wondering if there was a way to search for a store that might
have 50 each of red, white, yellow, green, purple, and pink to total the 300
needed. the 300 can be a mix of any number of colors for my purpose. I also found
that if I choose N/A in the search it give me only 1 result.

Then it’s “even more normal.”  It’s one unique lot and the search/buy algos treats
lots, not parts.

You can’t even distribute the 300 into 6 wanted lists as the search/buy algorithm
combines the lots.

You can only do that manually:
a. exclude them from the search and check in the stores found for the other parts,
b. or make multiple lots in actual colours.

I’d go for (a) if the parts are common and easy to find, and for (b) if they
are more difficult to find or if I want them in high quantities (so that search/Auto-select
can really find cheap parts and not choose them randomly and badly).
