| in general, the 6-month sales average is the most common. yes, some get into
all the ins and outs for the qty stuff but I never bothered with that and it
worked out fine. but as with everything if you go lower it will sell faster and
if you go higher it will sell slower

for me at least, I choose to set my own prices. Most of the time I set the price
as the 2nd lowest in my country.
But my store is small.

if you just parting out sets and have a small store its a good guidline

It all depends on what your goal is. I've set my prices in the past near
the average, and the sets/parts take forever to sell. However, if I set my prices
~5% lower than the lowest (in my area), then a quick sale is guaranteed. Cash
Flow is as important as margin. Having money move fast at times could be more
interesting than having sets sit and collect dust.

Or, like the French would say: 1x "tu l'as" vaut mieux que 2x "tu
l'auras" ... which roughly translates to 1x "you have it" is
worth more than 2x "You will have it".

Excellent!!!
We've got also: "Lâcher la proie pour l'ombre"
Google: "Release the prey for the shadow"
Which means abandoning something real for something uncertain

But if we talk for like a set as a whole, for example it costs 50 euros, part
out value 150 (average), if I set lowest price on the part it is almost always
1 - 2 cents per piece which is very low, if we consider to use prices lowest
across my region, then for me it will not work. Because I live in Latvia, which
is like a village among countries for real, and find Lego enthuasists here is
quite hard. I will try to move price as low as possible so my margin would be
enough to cover all costs + reinvest to more sets, will try to see how it will
work out

One more question, not related to price guide, does Black Pearl parts sells fasts?
Like this big black pieces which costs around 50 euros per piece, or it will
be waste of money and time to buy black pearl (have deal for 200 euros new, without
minifigs)

Rare and expensive parts are slow movers for me but they do move, you just have
to wait for the right buyer. Anyway, I priced my parts nearer to the sold average,
but I've raised before that the 6-month average seem to include sales from
earlier months.

Its never good to price to 6 month average.
Take instructions for example. Quantity sold per year is minuscule in comparison
to available for sale. That one which did sell was probably tacked on to another
order which already had shipping covered. So, actual price of the book was less
significant. If you sell them for a penny, or a few dollars your sales will
probably be the same.
Consider basic bricks. The average price includes bulk buys between people wanting
a lot of that item and the sellers with a lot on hand. Those people get a low
price for the simplicity of 100 qty increments. You have 6 of that item and
your buyer is considering 3 for a MOC. They know they can get it cheaper if
they bought 100 but that other seller has a huge minimum order. A few pennies
per unit extra you charge isn’t significant.
There are other segments to consider. Minifigs sell differently. Unusual colours
and items.
[Very much enjoyed my visits to Riga, particularly the KGB museum. Hope all
is going well].
