Hello,
Can someone help me learn how to find the inner plain cardboard box for an original
Lego box? For example, in 2002 some sets had a plain inner box that was inside
of the colorful "regular" box.

I am assuming that there were a set of standard sizes that were used by multiple
different sets and that should make finding the inner box easier than finding
the outer box for some sets... but I am having trouble finding "inner box"
listings on BL or anywhere else.

Thanks!

That would be great. I would be interested in inner trays/boxes as well. The
only way I have found them is to reach out to a seller and ask if their box includes
the inner trays.

Thanks. Yep, I've been a box chaser for quite a while so I know how tough
they can be. It is only recently that I've decided to find the inner box
for a rare outer box that I have.

It sounds like there is probably no efficient way to find the inner boxes, like
a separate part number, but that is OK... the internet has made collecting too
easy anyways

My biggest regret in my Lego collection is that I bought several boxless sets
without a second thought many years ago. I should have been stricter and only
bought sets w/ boxes.

If you post the set number for the box you are looking for, someone may have
one laying around.

I've listed innners and plastic trays a number of times over the years. I
just list them under the original listing for the box.

Best bet is to find sellers that specialize in boxes (theres like, 5 of us, lol)
and follow their listings, have email notifications on for boxes you want etc.

Boxes can sometimes take years if not decades to locate. I know my personal collection
certainly did

I think I had one or more of those boxes in the Death star 2 and the star destroyer.
I kept most of them, I think I might have 3 or so

This is one of those Asking for a friend situations isn't it.

You need to remove a part of the outer box to get to the one inside.
