| When will Bricklink update its servers?
It seems like they are incredibly outdated because of daily maintenance that
lasts too long, as well as the designer program orders breaking the website as
well.
I am struggling to do any order processing because of this.

| The platform alone is over 20 years old and outdated.

Daily maintenance does not have to do anything with the state of their servers.
It is part of Bricklink's database design that it clusters all statistical
operations into a single daily batch so as to guarantee consistency and not interrupt
daily operations. This is by design, not by outdated servers.
As Russell has written in a recent post, the peak for the BDP far outweighed
their already very high expectancy and planning for much increased bandwidth.
AFAIK, updating their servers is one of the things that Bricklink has done during
the years.

Did the site actually break yesterday? I found the only thing that didn't
work was the link between the BDP banner and the BDP page, which came up with
the server error. If you went direct to that page via the menu, the link to lego.com
seemed to be fine.
The rest of the site, including the forum, seemed to work as normal throughout
the first hour of the BDP launch. Although I didn't try placing an order
during that time.

I got a couple of errors doing normal, non-BDP things but there was definitely
not any extended downtime.

This forum had a few “504” hiccups for me.
The Studio forum was “502 or 504”-ing for a bit longer.
