| Hi all, so I have the Rancor Arm Left in my inventory and it has just been purchased,
the system allowed it to go as a large letter, but the piece is too wide for
a letter. What should I do?
Also does this sort of thing happen with pieces that don't have dimensions
on the bricklink catalogue?

Yes.
Search My Store Inventory for items with No Packing Dim in Catalog
to find the rest of them.
Feel free to submit any missing dimensions to the Catalog:

Should I be using the add item, or the change item form to add packaging dimensions?

The change item form. Enter in the part number then below you can enter in the
dimensions in the packing dimensions field
