Is there somewhere that has the specs for uploading images of an item to your
store? I've tried but I keep getting a server error?

Thanks

bricklink loves to throw that error up when you use the wrong file type or the
image is to large. try shrinking your image and changing to a jpg and it should
work

It seems it's not due to the format or size, if the file format wouldn't
be acceptable it would give the message Image must be in .jpg or .gif format.
I've uploaded a JPG which is only 43 KB and 311x431 pixels but it gave me
403 Forbidden error so something is still not OK.

You will get the 403 error if the file size is too large or too small. Don't
know what the cutoff is for too small, it started happening the past couple of
months or so.

AFAIK, there’s no cutoff for too small but there’s a problem with the site’s
resizing tool and it doesn’t like some files for some reason.
Depending on the tool(s) you’re using to make your pics, you images may or
may not use the options that BL’s tool doesn’t like.
That’s why Nubs advised to try another format.

I always edit the photo to reduce the size by 40% and then upload. Easy to do
even on a cell phone. Always works for me and pic still has decent resolution
