| I would like to suggest these for the next round of part merges:
They seem like pretty useless distinctions.
I would also like to suggest something the site should have done before even
considering merging anything. The site should have made it quite
clear in writing in the catalog help pages what is an acceptable variant for
this website and what is not.
Otherwise, it's just up to the whim of whomever is deciding, which is no
way to run a business.

100% agree with you!

Problem is; it's not only a Catalog decision - which Inventory/Catalog people
could help on - but also worldwide stats all time, if it's worth or not,
which is something we've no clue.
So I guess it'll be a decision from up above, case by case, or like category
by category?

They don't have the same color.

I appreciate the effort but those pictures taken on a soft surface are not very
helpful to show a very minor (if important part variant). Would be nice to have
decent pictures in the catalog.
I don't have both variants but if nothing shows up. I will make one later
in the month.
I might add those tires large images are very nice. This one not bad either...
if I don't say so myself.

What's wrong with the current comparison image for these?
Or I am misunderstanding the parts your referring to?

As shown - you can see the slight molding difference in the bottom, but this
is insignificant and does not effect function.
The studs on the face are placed at slightly different heights.
From the images you would not guess, that other than cosmetically, the parts
are not interchangeable (in some uses).
from the newelementary article
Lining up the 2 versions, you can see that because the studs are set slightly
higher, a sliver of the underside of the new one sticks out when placed on the
edge of a plate.
and
Furthermore, the sliver is tiny but big enough to cause a collision when the
new 4304 is used for its original purpose as a stud-reverser, shown above in
Blue and Yellow. So while solving one issue, the new element causes a new issue
in return.

| The catalog image shows how to easily separate the two variants. That is very
useful.
An additional image and catalog note to explain why the difference is important
could help the catalog. The parts look alike, but were designed for different
purposes.
