I have sent a store a question regarding an item that I would like pictures for
to decide if I want to buy it. The description of the item says to ask for pictures.

Is there a way to see when the store owner was last on Bricklink?

Is there a way to see if my message has been received, seen, or read?

In your opinion, how long should I wait for a response before moving on?

Thanks in advance for your insight.

Best you can do is My BL Messages Outbox. If it's still bold, they haven't
opened the message. If it's not bold, it's been opened... But that
doesn't mean they read it.

But that doesn’t mean they didn’t read it.

In short, it doesn't mean anything.

Just like Used, New, Packed, Shipped, Received, Completed or Nubs_Select.

Personally I put pic requests behind open orders, even if it says to ask... but
that said a 2 day max is where I'd give up as a buyer, because as a seller,
I think anything beyond that is unreasonable.

I do message people to tell them it will be xyz number of hours before I can
help them.

always help the paid customers first, imo.
