In set 9446 Destiny's Bounty, the current inventory lists part 3684c.
It should in fact be part 3684a.

This can be confirmed from the instructions manual, which clearly shows 3684
(with hollow studs).

I do have 2 copies of such set to support this as well.

Instruction manuals are not a source for variants. LEGO uses new image renders
or old image renders indiscriminately.
