Hey there.
I received a neutral feedback from a new member of Bricklink. I do not agree
with the feedback as I messaged the person BEFORE the order was sent and the
description also mentioned that instructions were not included, yet he left feedback
that my description is misleading. If he would have read the entire description
he would have noticed that I mentioned instructions were not included, and I
also wrote a message through BL messenger that the instructions were not included
before sending the item to him. There was no response to any communication I
sent him. Is there a way to dispute feedback?

Thanks!

Sorry, but the rules for feedback removal do not include uninformed customers.
The best you can do is leave an honest and professional reply.

You can dispute it but it almost definitely won't be removed.

If the description was clear why did you message the buyer?

What exactly did your listing say? Copy and paste it.

You can't do anything. That feedback doesn't meet the removal standards

Unfortunately I don't this FB will be removed. Best bet is to try and work
it out directly with the buyer. Maybe send an online link of the instructions
or offer to mail a printed copy.

I list missing items as the 1st or second sentence of the description. You can
look through my shop to see what I mean.

Also, why did you feel the need to message the buyer that the instructions were
not included before sending the item to him?

In my description, I put that set was complete with instructions, but then in
the same sentence I also say that instructions are not included. I did not realize,
that I had made that mistake. So I messaged the buyer as soon as I realized
the description said the set did and did not come with instructions. It is my
mistake as I did not realize that I had contradicted myself in the description.
So to be clear, I messaged the buyer BEFORE I sent the order to give the buyer
a chance to cancel if he wanted. However, after waiting for 4-5 days with no
response from the buyer, I sent the order. Buyer did not consult me first before
leaving feedback which I have in my terms, if there is an issue to contact be
BEFORE leaving feedback. It is just frustrating, when yes, as a seller mistakes
happen, however, the buyer could have read his message from me and worked with
me before leaving feedback.

.................. wow

so what you just did was reveal to everyone you retain a ("in the terms of
your store i might add...) a single humiliating sliver of false-hope superweapon
called "see, it's not my fault".............

For next time (hopefully this doesn't happen again):

Message the buyer through both BL and their direct email telling them the listing
and an error. Offer solutions, like a $5 refund for the missing instructions,
mailing a printed copy or canceling the order. Give a deadline to respond and
say if you don't hear back by then you will have to cancel the order.

Then you cancel the order if there's no response. You can't just send
it as is and hope for the best. If the buyer didn't get or read your message
they get angry because they think you shorted them on the order.

You should have just canceled the order. Lesson learned. View that feedback as
tuition.

Not responding means they didn't see it.

the feedback you received & your reply are seemingly skirting around the issue
of the Instructions not being Included with the set.

sounds like you goofed up & listed it was 'Complete" when it actually
wsn't. it was missing the instructions.
the instructions are a piece of the Originally Purchase-able Set.
you sold a Incomplete set as Complete.

what you should learn from this is too slow down while listing items & be sure
everything is set correct and either buy the part you need in order to list the
set correctly or part it out for others.

For sure I do admit to my mistake, however my frustration comes from the buyer
not responding to my messages and leaving feedback first and not working with
me. And yes, I will for sure slow down when listing items .

Thanks for all your responses!

Kind regards,
Carole

While you are correct that the seller made a mistake as they mentioned in another
post, but it was not that this should have been listed as Incompleted. A used
set does not need to include instructions to be marked complete.

Used Sets - The set has been opened, inner bags are no longer intact and or was
previously built. If parts show excessive wear, discoloration, excessive scratches,
other marks, etc. this must be noted, as well.
(without sub-condition) should indicate in the description if any contents are
missing.
Complete - Set contains all parts necessary to build all of the models (including
alternate models) in the instructions but does not have to contain the original
box/packaging and/or extra parts. If the set is missing instructions, the description
must list this. If the set did not come with instructions then the set should
include all parts listed in the picture inventory which is located on the box
or bucket. The set must include all original stickers used on the model either
still on the sticker sheet or applied.

Strong sellers are going to just take unwarranted feedback on the chin. Communication
is king especially before you ship or at the time you ship the order. Best just
save all your energy on making you store the best it can be.

the buyer is upset that the listing said the set was complete. if you didn't
have the instructions, then don't list it as complete. List it as incomplete
and say why.

It is a used set. So they could have listed as complete and said it was missing
the instructions. Saying it had instructions was the mistake here, not listing
as complete.
